Pete Davidson splurges 30k to 'surprise' Elsie Hewitt with lavish gift
The former Saturday Night Live star and his girlfriend attended the grand opening of the Gerald Peters Watch + Jewelry showroom in his native Staten Island, New York, on Friday (27.06.25) and not only did he buy himself a flashy new Rolex timepiece, he then paid for a second one as a gift for Elsie.
Sources told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column that Pete treated himself to an $18,550 Rolex Datejust 41 in Oystersteel and Everose Gold, and then "surprised" Elsie with the matching petite version of the watch, a Rolex Datejust 31 mm, also in Oystersteel and Everose Gold, which retails at $12,400.
Both watches were designed with 18-carat pink gold alloy, but the King of Staten Island actor's was also fitted with diamond hour markers.
Pete arrived early to the event so he could buy the watches and enjoy a private tour of the showroom.
A source said: 'Pete was in an awesome mood, cracking jokes, chatting watches, and taking photos with friends."
Another guest at the event said the 31-year-old comic "couldn't have been sweeter.'
They added: 'He took pictures with people and he was proud of the store and kept talking about how much he loves supporting Staten Island."
Pete and Elsie went public with their romance in March and in May, the 29-year-old model gushed her boyfriend is the "best person" she's ever met.
She told People magazine: 'He is so incredible. Honestly, best person I've ever met, and I'm so grateful ...'
The couple recently attended the Endometriosis Foundation of America's 13th Annual Blossom Ball in New York City together, making their red carpet debut as a couple, and Elsie shared how Pete supports her when she is dealing with her own endometriosis.
She said: 'It was just really important to both of us to come here and support the foundation and keep helping, spreading the word and educating people.
'Pete sets me up with a little heating pad, and it's very sweet, and I just eat whatever. I'm like, I will allow myself to eat whatever I want and just snuggle up and watch a movie.
'Everyone deserves a Pete!'
While the pair have only been together for a few months, it was recently revealed that they are already living together.
An insider told People: 'Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months. They're splitting their time between Pete's house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn.
"They're so happy together and doing great.'
Pete's most recent relationship before Elsie was with 'Outer Banks' actress Madelyn Cline eight months ago.
And Elsie was most recently linked to actor Jason Sudeikis. She also previously dated Ryan Phillippe.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry officially confirm they have split
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially confirmed the end of their almost decade-long relationship with a public statement following weeks of media speculation. The pop superstar, 40, and her 48-year-old actor fiancé announced the split in a joint statement to US media. 'Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,' the statement read, per People magazine. 'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter [Daisy Dove, 4] with love, stability and mutual respect.' The relationship had been under heavy scrutiny in recent weeks as Perry embarked on her world Lifetimes Tour, which included dates in Australia last month. Bloom joined Perry and their daughter for her Perth shows, but the reunion came just a few days after he reportedly blasted her widely criticised April space flight. According to a New York Post report, Bloom slammed the flight as 'embarrassing' and 'cringeworthy' while the pair were in the middle of a row, but travelled to Perth a few days after the altercation was reported. Despite his criticism of the space flight, Bloom then attended the wedding of the man who made it possible, Jeff Bezos, when he married Lauren Sanchez in a lavish multi-day celebration in Venice last week. Meanwhile, Perry continued her Australian shows.

Virginia Madsen leads tributes to her brother Michael Madsen
Virginia Madsen has paid tribute to her brother Michael Madsen after his sudden death. The 67-year-old actor was pronounced dead at his Malibu home on Thursday (03.07.25) after being found unresponsive and his actress sibling Virginia, 63, remembered her brother in a touching statement. She said in a statement to Variety: 'My brother Michael has left the stage,' Virginia said. 'He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother — etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark.' 'We're not mourning a public figure. We're not mourning a myth - but flesh and blood and ferocious heart. Who stormed through life loud, brilliant, and half on fire. Who leaves us echoes - gruff, brilliant, unrepeatable - half legend, half lullaby. 'I'll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I'll miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my big brother. 'Thank you to everyone reaching out with love and memory. In time, we'll share how we plan to celebrate his life - but for now, we stay close, and let the silence say what words can't.' Madsen's Kill Bill co-star Vivica A. Fox told the New York Post: 'I had the pleasure of working with Michael Madsen on Kill Bill several other films! Michael was a talented man with an AMAZING on screen presence! My deepest condolences prayers to his family.' His 'Reservoir Dogs' co-star Harvey Keitel added: 'We've lost another great American poet. Farewell, my dear friend. I'll never forget one of the best scenes I've ever seen on film — of you and Chris Penn fighting in 'Reservoir Dogs.' A great love scene. Give Chris a hug for me.' Chris Penn died in 2006 at age 40. James Woods wrote on X: 'Oh man, this is a hard one. Michael and I did The Getaway together. We did Straight Talk together. I was always touched by his sweet nature and generosity, the absolute opposite of the 'tough guys' he portrayed so brilliantly. Rest in Peace, dear friend.' And, Rob Schneider wrote, 'Michael Madsen was a dream to work with. A truly gifted actor gentleman who made every person on the set comfortable; generous with his stories with his infectious laughter. I only wish we could have done more things together in this crazy business. My love to his kids friends.'
