Rams, Chargers NFL draft tracker for Los Angeles' 2025 picks
Aside from the Super Bowl, the NFL draft is one of football's biggest nights, where teams prepare war rooms trying to finalize their decisions on which athletes to sign.

At this year's draft, the Rams and the Chargers will be making picks in the first round. The Rams will have eight picks in this year's draft while the Chargers will have 10.
During the 2024 season, the Bolts finished 11-6 and second in the AFC West. Finishing up last season, the Rams were 10-7 and first in the NFC West.
The Rams' draft day headquarters will look different this year. The team has decided to move its draft operations to one of the Los Angeles Fire Department stations in Van Nuys. The team wants to honor first responders who battled the recent wildfires.
A few months after the draft, the Chargers will face the Detroit Lions in the annual Hall of Fame Game as part of Enshrinement Week. The game will take place on July 31 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
What picks do the Chargers have in the 2025 NFL draft?
According to the Chargers' website, the Bolts have more picks than they did last year. They have 10 picks in the draft, including three compensatory picks they were awarded on March 11.
The team has the 22nd overall pick in the first round.
Heading into the draft, sports analysts at ESPN say the Chargers are in need of a wide receiver, tight end, defensive tackle, offensive guard and running back.
There are several mock drafts that try and predict which players are going to be selected in each round. According to a mock draft by ESPN, they predict the Bolts will select Kenneth Grant from the University of Michigan. Grant is a defensive tackle from Indiana.
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter are familiar with Grant when they were on the coaching staff at Michigan.

The Rams have a first-round pick for the second year in a row after going seven seasons without one from 2017 to 2023, according to the team's website. The team will have eight picks in this year's draft.
The Rams have the 26th overall pick in the first round.
ESPN sports analysts say heading into the draft, the Rams are in need of a cornerback, linebacker, wide receiver, quarterback and running back.
A mock draft by ESPN predicts the New York Giants will make a trade to move up and send picks 34 and 99 to the Rams. This trade is not official and is only being predicted by ESPN sports analysts.

How to watch the 2025 NFL draft?
The 2025 NFL draft will take place from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Round 1 will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Rounds 2 and 3 will take place on Friday, with Round 2 starting at 4 p.m. Day three of the draft will include Rounds 4 through 7 and will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The draft will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, ABC, NFL Network, NFL Channel and NFL+.

The Chicago Bears will put on the pads for the first time at their practice Monday morning at Halas Hall, following an intense week of practice last week as the team gets used to new head coach Ben Johnson's style. Chicago Sun-Times beat reporter Patrick Finley emphasized the intensity and urgency with which Johnson coaches. "When Ben Johnson got here on the first day on check-in day, he didn't say, 'Boy, we've got see weeks, you know, we'll ease into this thing.' He said: 'It is a race. We need to go,' and that's just a different vibe here. He's got an intelligence and intensity that I think is really refreshing, and it has been all offseason, and now we get to see it on the field," Finley said. "I think the players are reacting to it, and reacting in a really good way. This is a team that really wanted to be coached hard last year, had to beg the last offensive coordinator to coach them hard — and now they're getting it." Finley said the Bears' offense was really bad in the red zone on Friday, but improved Saturday — and progress is critically important. "It's one thing to make a mistake. It's another to keep making it. I think we've seen with Justin Fields and Mitch Trubisky before them that they'll make one mistake and then it keeps going on and on," said Finley. "If they can correct it, that's what I'm looking for, and Saturday was a really good start in that direction." On the defensive side, defensive coordinator Dennis Allen's unit is being talked about as getting different looks every day. "They've been a handful, and you know, there's this old wives' tale that at this time of year, the defense should be winning. But they've been winning, and they've been winning pretty decisively," Finley said. "Part of that is because of the different looks they're giving them. Part of it's by plan too. There is a pressure, time of practice, where they just bring blitzes at Caleb and go, hey, you know, figure it out." Meanwhile, the Bears are also working without cornerback Jaylon Johnson on the defensive side. He suffered a non-football injury during offseason training and will mis several weeks. "To make up for the lack of Jaylon Johnson has been really impressive. I mean, they have Nahshon Wright out there. He's looked good. They're cycling through with Tyrique Stevenson and Terrell Smith," said Finley. "They're going to need that depth at some point in the year, and for them to look pretty decent out there now, that's good stuff." In the week to come, the practices will feel a little more real as the team puts on the pads. Finley said his eye will be on the rookies. "Kyle Monangai — the seventh-round pick out of Rutgers — really curious to see what he does when he has really big guys trying to chase him down. You know, I'll be interested to see what the rookie class can do physically — you know, we saw Colston Loveland on Saturday practicing T-drills for the first time. That's a really good sign," said Finley. "Maybe Luther Burden can be out there next week. Ben Johnson said that he was hopeful on the second-round pick. And then you've got Ozzy Trapilo, who is playing left tackle and cycling through with the starters. All of those guys, once the pads come on, they're going to be really interesting to me."

The Chicago Bears are gearing up for an exciting 2025 NFL season, which features some new faces within the organization poised to get the franchise back to its winning ways. That starts with the hiring of Ben Johnson as head coach, as well as overhauling the interior offensive line, adding pieces on defense and a potenital impactful rookie draft class. Next up at No. 3 is left guard Joe Thuney, who will be a key role in shoring up Chicago's offensive line and protecting quarterback Caleb Williams. Background Position: Left guard Age: 32 Experience: 10th season 2025 cap hit: $8 million 2024 recap Thuney has established himself as one of the best guards in the NFL, and he showcased why last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, Thuney started all 17 games for the Chiefs. While he played primarily at left guard, he kicked over to left tackle for three contests as Kansas City dealt with injuries along the offensive line. Thuney once again served as key protection for quarterback Patrick Mahomes as the Chiefs once again made a Super Bowl appearance. Now, Thuney brings that experience, production and leadership to a revamped Chicago offensive line that will be crucial to quarterback Caleb Williams' success. And if rookie Ozzy Trapilo wins the starting left tackle job, Thuney will be even more crucial for Trapilo as he acclimates to the pro game. The Bears will only go as far as Williams takes them. And Williams will only go as far as his offensive line allows. Thuney will play an integral role in the offensive line's success. Big question: Can Thuney continue to be a top NFL guard in Chicago? The Bears invested a lot in Thuney -- a fourth round pick in 2026 and $33.5 million guaranteed -- so they're banking on him to serve an integral role along the offensive line. Thuney is a two-time First-Team All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowler and four-time Super Bowl winner and one of the best guards in the entire NFL. Thuney's an elite pass blocker and has been the best pass-blocking guard, per Pro Football Focus, since 2021 with a 90.2 grade. But the question remains whether Thuney will continue that level of play outside of a winning organization like Kansas City.
