Linkin Park's Breakout Single Brings The Band To A Special Landmark
Linkin Park's 'In the End' reaches 100 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 and continues leading Hard ... More Rock Streaming Songs in the U.S., decades after its release. Chester Bennington of Linkin Park performs during Ozzfest 2001 at Shoreline Amphitheatre on June 29, 2001 in Mountain View, California. (Photo by) Linkin Park's 'In the End' became a worldwide hit almost a quarter century ago. The hard rock tune crossed over and was played on pop radio, which helped it become the group's biggest hit to date and the kind that turned the band into household superstars. Decades later, and after multiple album releases and dozens of singles, 'In the End' remains a staple in any rock lover's rotation and, to this day, a hit all around the world. "In the End" Rises on the Billboard Global 200 'In the End' inches up one spot to No. 65 on the Billboard Global 200. The cut becomes Linkin Park's first to rack up triple-digit stays on Billboard's ranking of the most consumed songs all around the planet, as it reaches 100 weeks on the tally. Linkin Park likely won't score another 100-week charter for months. 'Numb' is the band's second-longest running win on the Billboard Global 200, and it is up to 66 frames on that list, a figure it adds to this time around as it jumps to No. 111. 'The Emptiness Machine,' the lead single from Linkin Park's comeback album From Zero, has only amassed 36 turns on the Billboard Global 200 – so far – but it already ranks as the group's third-longest charting success. "In the End" Nears Another Milestone 'In the End' can also be found on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which operates in much the same way as the Billboard Global 200, but excludes any activity generated in America. 'In the End' has spent 98 weeks somewhere between Nos. 1 and 200, so two weeks from now, it will almost surely become the group's first 100-week winner. "In the End" Remains a Hit in America 'In the End' is also a hit specifically in the U.S., not just when looking globally. The track declines slightly on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart, dipping to No. 22, while at the same time leading the Hard Rock Streaming Songs ranking once more. Linkin Park has ruled that tally 11 times with 'In the End' out of the 264 weeks it has spent somewhere on the roster of the most played hard rock cuts in the nation on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and others.

AC/DC Bookends A Billboard Chart With Multiple Bestsellers In America
AC/DC bookends Billboard's Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart as 'Thunderstruck' returns to No. 1 ... More and 'Back in Black' reenters at No. 10. AC/DC, Thundersteruck video, Brixton Academy 8/17/90 (Photo by) AC/DC is always a major player on Billboard's hard rock charts. The band rarely scores new wins, either with albums or songs, so it is with the classics that the Australian rock outfit maintains a constant presence. Sometimes that comes in the form of just one tune, while in other instances, multiple tracks and even an album or two can find space on the weekly rankings. This time around, AC/DC scores a pair of hit songs, and the group even manages a relatively uncommon feat. AC/DC Sits at Nos. 1 and 10 The band bookends the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this frame. AC/DC sits in first place, at No. 1, and also in the lowest rung at No. 10, as the tally only features 10 spaces these days. "Thunderstruck" rises from No. 3 back to the throne. The smash earns its sixty-first stay at No. 1 as it surges. At the same time, "Back in Black" returns to the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. This week, it comes in at No. 10, reentering the list in the lowest spot possible. "Thunderstruck" and "Back in Black" Keep Selling "Thunderstruck" and "Back in Black" have both already taken a turn at No. 1. While "Thunderstruck" is far and away the group's longest-running leader and the current champion, "Back in Black" has spent just two of its 547 stays on the tally in the spotlight. Another pair of tunes, "Shot in the Dark" and "Play Ball," have also reached the peak position, though neither manages to appear nearly as frequently as "Thunderstruck" or "Back in Black." AC/DC and Disturbed Stand Alone AC/DC is one of only two musical acts that fill more than one spot on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. Disturbed also manages to do so, as its cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" comes in right behind "Thunderstruck," while "Don't Tell Me," a collaboration with Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson, reenters at No. 5.

‘Always … Patsy Cline': A Nostalgic Journey Into Jukebox History
OAKBROOK, Ill.—'Always … Patsy Cline' overflows with wonderful entertainment; it's also a heartfelt tribute to an unlikely friendship. The musical premiered in Houston in 1988, went on to Broadway, and is now in a captivating revival at the Drury Lane Theatre. Written by Ted Swindley, the show follows the real-life friendship between Patsy Cline (1932–1963) and Louise Seger, a fan who discovered Cline while listening to her recordings on the radio. Seger was so enthralled by Cline's unique voice that when she found out her idol was singing in her city, she just had to meet her. More Than a Fan Seger arrives early to Cline's show in Houston and is surprised to see that Cline has already arrived and that she's all on her own. She came without an agent or friend. Seger waits, sure that someone will soon arrive to accompany the singer, but no one does. Seger introduces herself and invites Cline to join her and her family at their table. That kind gesture is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
