Raveena Tandon confirms Aranyak season 2 isn't happening. Despite fan hopes, she says the script didn't meet expectations and the platform hasn't moved forward.
Raveena Tandon made her OTT web series debut with the 2021 hit Aranyak. With the thriller becoming an instant success upon release, fans anticipated that the series would return for another season. However, it looks like fans will be disappointed, as Raveena Tandon has officially confirmed that there has been no development regarding Aranyak season two — and honestly, it's not on the cards.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Raveena shared, 'It's not happening," and added, 'Now I can say it. Earlier, we all had hope. In fact, I think season two was written as well, but I am not sure what the platform has in mind. Every time they say, 'Oh my God, it was a great show and one of our highest-viewed shows immediately after COVID.' That was a role so close to my heart, and I loved playing that character. But I don't think they were able to crack a good script for season two. And then the expectations were so high, so they didn't want to spoil that."
Raveena Tandon marked her digital debut with the Netflix original thriller series Aranyak, which premiered on December 10, 2021. Her portrayal of Kasturi Dogra, an investigating officer from Himachal Pradesh, won her rave reviews from critics and the audience alike. The show turned out to be one of the most popular series of that year and remained in Netflix's top ten list for several months.
Written by Charudutt Acharya and directed by Vinay Waikul, the story is based on the famous Bengali novel of the same name authored by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. It revolves around political ploys, personal agendas, and the myth of a murderous entity that emerges as two mismatched hill station police officers navigate a web of suspects after a puzzling murder. The show also stars Parambrata Chatterjee and Ashutosh Rana.
Raveena Tandon, one of the most charismatic actresses of the 1990s, has established a unique place in Indian cinema with her beauty, talent, and versatility. She made a remarkable debut in Bollywood with the 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool, opposite Salman Khan. The film was a commercial success and earned her the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year, quickly positioning her as a rising star in the industry.

While many might think that Kriti entered her entrepreneurial era with Hyphen, she was already into business with her fitness venture, The Tribe. With gyms shut during COVID, Kriti struggled to return to her shape. 'I gained 15 kgs and I didn't know what to do,' she told Raj Shamani. Later, she connected with four trainers and managed to lose all the weight by working out virtually in her room. Her experience sparked the idea of creating a fitness brand, which we know now as The Tribe. Kriti opened the first The Tribe fitness studio in 2022 in Mumbai's Juhu area. Box Office: Mahavatar Narsimha sees a 400 percent jump from Friday to Sunday in Hindi; Collects Rs 11.25 crore in opening weekend
The Hombale Films produced Mahavatar Narsimha is roaring at the box office in Hindi, and has proved to be another surprise package of 2025. The animated film, rooted in Indian Mythology, opened at Rs 1.35 crore on Friday, followed by a 150 percent jump to Rs 3.25 crore on Saturday, and another 110 percent spike on Sunday to collect Rs 6.50 crore to 7.00 crore. The 3-day total of Mahavatar Narsimha stands at Rs 11.35 crore in Hindi, and the film is now headed to record a long theatrical run in North India. Mahavatar Narsimha first animated success in Hindi since Hanuman The jumps have come all across the board, which resulted in an increased showcasing too on public demand. The film released in Hindi on 800 shows on Friday, followed by 1100 shows on Saturday and peaked with 2000 shows on Sunday. Mahavatar Narsimha is the first animated film since Hanuman (2005) to hit the bullseye at the box office in Hindi, and to think of it, it also might be the first ever animated super hit, as Hanuman was more of a Semi-Hit grosser.
