Heartbreaking Details From Anne Burrell's Memorial Service Revealed (Exclusive)
Heartbreaking details about late Food Network star Anne Burrell's memorial service are emerging a little more than two weeks after her death.
'Anne was cremated, and her ashes were spread around to various places she loved the day after the funeral,' a source exclusively tells Parade of the small gathering held the weekend following her death. 'They did the funeral quickly in order to do this.'

The insider goes on to tell Parade that the service was 'about 200 people, some old friends and colleagues, and some new.'
The source adds: 'Her husband [Stuart Claxton] is still in total shock and disbelief. He loved her very much and felt like they were the perfect match.'
Burrell's family announced her death in a statement on June 17, 2025. Her cause of death is still unknown.
'Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,' they said via People. 'Anne's light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.'
Burrell was known for her appearances on many Food Network and culinary programs, including The Next Iron Chef, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, The Best Thing I Ever Made, Iron Chef America: The Series, Chef Wanted With Anne Burrell, Chopped, Guilty Pleasures, Rachael Ray, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, BBQ Brawl: Flay V. Symon, Beat Bobby Flay and most recently, House of Knives.
Additionally, she is best known for co-hosting Food Network's Worst Cooks in America, which began airing in 2010.

According to TMZ, Burrell was found unresponsive inside her Brooklyn home. A rep for the NYC Fire Department told the outlet that the person who called 911 told the operator 'Anne went into cardiac arrest.'
Her death is being investigated by the New York City Police Department. Per an internal document viewed by The New York Times, the veteran culinary TV personality was found 'unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by approximately (100) assorted pills' in the shower of her Brooklyn apartment on the morning of Tuesday, June 17. It remains unclear how the pills came to be there.

Our unofficial title of 2025's second Subway Series is 'New York City Gets Riled Up About Juan Soto II: Electric Boogaloo.' Why did 'Electric Boogaloo' become the catch-all phrase for sequels? Apparently, it comes from 'Breakin' 2,' a 1984 breakdance musical starring the titular Michael 'Boogaloo Shrimp' Chambers. In conclusion, we think Soto and Aaron Judge should bust a breakdance battle to determine the rightful King of New York. In lieu of that, a three-game showdown will still have acute tension. Even wilder, they were swept by both the Tampa Bay Rays and Pittsburgh Pirates. The Mets have a total payroll around $326 million. Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay combine for roughly $178 million. Ironically, the orange and blue are slumping in spite of Soto's sizzling turnaround. After two dispiriting months to start his Mets tenure, Soto turned out a colossal June: a .322 batting average, .474 OBP and 11 homers in 90 at-bats. The left-handed slugger is limited against fellow lefties, though, and the Fried-Rodón southpaw duo presents an expert-difficulty boss level.
