Mercy crews were called to blazes in the city's Niddrie Marischal Crescent and Campion Road after the alarm was raised in the early hours of Monday, June 9.
A statement issued today by Police Scotland said: 'He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.'
We told how cops have been probing an alleged firebomb attack on a plush Range Rover Evoque in the capital's Campion Road.
Sources claimed it was outside of the home of an associate of crime kingpin, Mark Richardson, 38, who is currently locked up at HMP Low Moss.
Earlier on the same day a Ford Transit van was allegedly set on fire on Niddrie Marischal Crescent as cops revealed both incidents could be linked.
The latest arrest comes a week after two men appeared in court in connection with the same crackdown.
Arran Reid, 26, and Joshua Stewart, 20, were charged with attempted murder of David McMillan - a close pal of Richardson.
They appeared in the dock the day after Owen Logan, 26, faced a charge of wilful fireraising at the same court.
He, too, was arrested as part of Police Scotland's Operation Portaledge - an ongoing probe into alleged gang violence in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Logan, of Edinburgh, was charged in connection with a fire at Belle Cheveux beauty salon in the city's Albert Street in Edinburgh on Thursday, March 6.

'We continue to investigate and follow a number of positive lines of enquiry.
'The support and response from the public has been excellent, and I am grateful for the assistance given to us and that continued support from local communities is crucial as we progress our enquiries.
'If you know anything that could assist our ongoing investigation, please do the right thing and speak to us.'

5G phone mast 'set on fire deliberately' as VodafoneThree 'support police probe'

The telecoms giant said a firebug started the blaze. Scots 5G mast destroyed by flames A Scots 5G mast which went ablaze leading to nearby residents being evacuated was started deliberately, a mobile phone company has said. The blaze tore through the mobile phone mast late on Wednesday June 19, leading to residents and vehicles being evacuated from the Ardrossan street in North Ayrshire. ‌ Enough much damage was caused to the radio antenna for the company to then take the mast down. ‌ VodafoneThree, the network which owns the mast, have now said the blaze last week was started deliberately. The newly-merged mobile phone company also said they are assisting Police Scotland with a probe into the incident. A VodafoneThree spokesperson told the Record: "A mast in Stanley Road was damaged earlier this month in an arson attack. "The equipment has been safely removed and we are working to bring the site back online as quickly as possible. " Service is being provided by nearby sites but customers may notice a degradation in service while we bring the site back online. ‌ "We are supporting the police as they conduct their enquiries." We told previously how locals in the Ayrshire town were woken from their beds in the early hours of the morning as flames tore through the mast, inches from a park. ‌ Residents were later allowed to return to their properties as work to extinguish the blaze and make the mast safe continued. The clear-up operation in the town's Stanley Road lasted until around 4am on Thursday June 19, and the road was shut and cordoned off by police. The cordon ran from outside the Stanleys Kitchen Chinese takeaway to the junction with St Andrew's Road, at the other side of the park, and the road was closed for around eight hours. One local said: "We got woken up at about 1am with the door being rattled so we could move our cars. We had no clue it was on fire, we were in such a deep sleep. ‌ "It must have happened just before midnight last night. They were drilling and there was a fire engine there until about 3.45am this morning. The road was shut from the Chinese to the other junction at St Andrew's Road. They reopened the road about 9am, there were firefighters back sweeping the road this morning. It's just the path next to it that's closed now." Another local said: "There's a park right next to the mast which has a football pitch and goals. The kids from the nearby streets play in it all day, every day. It's just as well this happened at night, because if it had happened during the day then it could have been much, much worse. I dread to think how it could've turned out." ‌ Pictures showed the body of the mast and the top of it charred black, with the box at the bottom also fire damaged. Debris from the mast was left strewn across the road. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson previously said: "We were alerted at 11.41pm on Wednesday, June 18, to reports of a telephone mast on fire in Ardrossan. "Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the town's Stanley Road, where firefighters were met by a well-developed fire. Crews worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene." A Police Scotland spokesperson had also said: "Around 12.10am on Thursday, June 19, 2025, we received a report of a mast fire on Stanley Road, Ardrossan and officers attended to assist." No new statement was provided by the force regarding VodafoneThree's support of any inquiry.

The post read: "A deceased dog has been found about 17.30 tonight in Templeton woods (just off dronley road at the small layby parking bit across from the cemetery. "The poor dog has also been set alight (photos obtained) and we have to pray that he was deceased before this happened. ‌ "Part of his collar and lead also remained as the man spotted walking out into his car we assume after he was disturbed. If anyone has any information, please pm us with it as comments will understandably be turned off. "We thank Kevin and the couple who were out walking for their help, we know how traumatic this must have been for them to see this. Breed is hard to confirm but possibly a staffy. "Hopefully vets can determine better. Someone must know something." ‌ The post, which had a trigger warning attached and was accompanied by rainbow and broken heart emojis, ended: "Fly high gorgeous, we hope and pray you didn't suffer." Cheating Maftei and Sosu say they have plans to marry after she was this week spared jail for the scalding at Perth Sheriff Court. Sosu told The Scottish Sun: 'I want to have a baby now. 'I think we will get married. 'For a long time I wanted to have a baby but he lost his battery. 'If she never came here none of this would have happened. 'There was a reason for it. 'We want to start over.' Sosu and farm worker Maftei had been together more than a decade when they welcomed Ms Furnika to their flat in Coupar Angus, Perthshire. The two women became close and would eat together with the host saying she cooked for her guest 'many times'. Jilted husband punched cheating wife's new lover after catching them in bed then 'threatened to burn down marital home' They even ended up working in the same plant on opposite shifts. But within weeks of her arrival, the refugee and Maftei had begun a secret affair. Sosu — who arrived in Scotland nine years ago from Craiova, Romania — discovered the truth months later and cornered her friend in the kitchen of their top-floor flat. She punched Ms Furnika repeatedly on the head before being dragged away by her unfaithful boyfriend who told her to 'relax'. Sosu threw hot coffee in her face in the incident in October 2023. The pair say the victim has since moved out but lives nearby and they often see her in the street but 'do not talk'. 4 The Ukrainian moved in with the couple after fleeing to Scotland to escape war Credit: Facebook / Lyudmila Mykhaylova 4 Sosu revealed she is standing by her boyfriend and wants to have his baby Credit: Alan MacGregor Ewing Maftei, from Constanta, Romania, said: 'I have learned a lesson.
