New homes unveiled in one of UK's most desirable seaside villages

Yahoo3 days ago
New homes have been unveiled in one of the UK's most desirable seaside locations.
Housebuilder Dandara's development in West Wittering offers a mix of three, four and five-bedroom detached homes.
The village was recently named one of the UK's best places to live by The Times.
Emma Thomson, head of sales at Dandara Southern, said: "Coastal living has always had its appeal, but we're now seeing buyers place greater value on quality of life – access to nature, energy-efficient homes and a real sense of place. That's what we set out to deliver here.
"Every part of the development has been carefully considered to reflect what people are looking for today: thoughtful design, sustainability and a connection to the community around them.
"West Wittering is a special place, and this project was about doing justice to that – not just by creating beautiful homes, but by contributing to the village and its future."
The homes, priced between £999,950 and £1.1 million, are part of Dandara's most premium scheme in the southern region and will be delivered in phases through to 2027.
Designed with sustainability in mind, each home will include heat pumps, smart heating systems, LED lighting, mechanical ventilation and standard EV charging points.

Dandara is contributing more than £1.2 million to local infrastructure, including nearly £265,000 for improvements to the A27, more than £50,000 for ecological mitigation and £934,000 in Community Infrastructure Levy payments.
A mix of affordable housing, first homes and social rent units are also being delivered in partnership with the local authority.
Ms Thomson said the scheme has already attracted a range of buyers from across the A3 corridor and West Sussex.
She said: "It's a mix of families upsizing, second home buyers, and those relocating for a better lifestyle.
"West Wittering offers a rare combination of coastal beauty, local charm and practical connectivity – and we've designed this development to reflect that."

Man Who Lost 8,000 Bitcoin Now Worth $900 Million Wants To Tokenize Entire Wallet In Bid To Assert Claim On Dumped Fortune

Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. James Howells, the man who has spent over a decade finding his misplaced hard drive containing over $900 million worth of Bitcoin (CRTPTO: BTC) riches, said Monday he has not given up despite repeated failures and will now tokenize his claim. Howell Changes Strategy After Bid To Buy Landfill Fails In an X post, Howells stated he made several attempts to negotiate with Newport City Council to allow him to search the landfill where the hard drive is believed to be, including public proposals, legal action, and even a formal offer of over $30 million. However, the council has consistently refused, citing environmental and logistical concerns. 'I am done asking permission,' the Wales-based software engineer said. His next plan of action involves tokenizing the entire wallet of 8,000 BTC into 800 billion Ceiniog Coin (INI), a Bitcoin Layer 2 token integrated with other blockchain technologies like Stacks, Runes and Ordinals. Trending: The same firms that backed Uber, Venmo and eBay are investing in this pre-IPO company disrupting a $1.8T market — Howells told The Block that the idea is to launch a successful high-speed, high-scale, fast-confirmation, payment-focused web3 environment backed by 8,000 BTC and secured by the Bitcoin blockchain. The Newport City Council didn't immediately return Benzinga's request for comment. An Unfortunate Saga The bizarre incident dates back to 2013, when Howells' ex-girlfriend unintentionally dumped a hard drive containing 8,000 BTC in the trash. When he lost the legal bid to excavate the site, Howells turned toward President Donald Trump for help, possibly influenced by the U.S. president's pro-cryptocurrency stance. The 8,000 Bitcoins would be worth a whopping $984.73 million at the all-time high price of $123,091.61 and $913.34 million at the prevailing market price of $114,168.
