Swindon coach Holloway vows to hunt down fan who threw seat at Walsall player

Aug 4 (Reuters) - Swindon Town manager Ian Holloway was left seething after a fan reportedly threw a seat at Walsall goalkeeper Myles Roberts in a League Two match, urging the club to identify and reveal the name of the supporter involved in the incident. British media reported that an object was thrown from the crowd towards Roberts in the final minutes of Walsall's 2-1 win over Swindon on Saturday. The object did not hit Roberts but landed near him, with Holloway saying in an interview with club media that it had been part of a stadium seat. "I'm disgusted by whoever that person was. Whoever you are, you're not a Swindon fan. I'm not having you and I hope you get caught. That is absolutely horrific," said the 62-year-old Englishman. "How dare you put our club in the situation that you've just done. You think that's in our name. It's not in my name. It's not in this badge's name. And we don't want you in football. That's how I feel. "So let's find them, whoever it is. Give us a name ... If you've ripped a seat out and you've thrown it at somebody, I just can't stand you, whoever you are. And I will find you. I want us to find that person and shame them." In a statement, Swindon said they were working with Walsall and local authorities to identify those responsible. "Let us be clear: any individuals found to have engaged in such actions will face the strictest possible sanctions, including banning orders and legal action where appropriate," the club added.

The Portuguese boss was not happy with his team's performance in the 2-2 stalemate. 2 2 He identified areas in which his side struggled but was at least pleased at the chances created, which helped the Red Devils avoid defeat And it would have been victory if not for Ayden Heaven 's own goal 15 minutes from time. United were twice pegged back after going in front and Amorim felt his side struggled at times. He told MUTV: "We struggled a little bit, so it's just that feeling of not performing like we're supposed to do. But it was OK. "We struggled a little bit with longer balls, not just the second balls, but the first balls. "We struggled in the build-up, but we created chances and that is really important to win any match. "You can perform, I don't like to say bad, but we can struggle a little bit in the game. But if you create chances you can win even that kind of game." Bruno Fernandes was involved in an ugly altercation with Everton goalscorer Iliman Ndiaye. Mason Mount took the brunt of the anger as he stepped in to calm things down, seemingly been grabbed round the neck by Ndiaye.
