TVS iQube 3.1 kWh variant launched: Price, range and more
TVS Motor Company
has launched a new variant of its iQube
electric scooter
, powered by a 3.1kWh battery. The model has been priced at Rs 1.05 lakh, ex-showroom, and sits between the existing 2.2kWh entry-level trim and the
3.5 kWh variant
. It will be available in five colour options: Pearl White, Walnut Brown, Titanium Grey, Copper Brown-Beige, and Starlight Blue-Beige. With this new battery pack variant, the total number of iQube options have now extended to six. Here's a look at key details.
TVS iQube 3.1 kWh: All you need to know
The 3.1kWh iQube delivers a claimed top speed of 82 kmph and offers a range of 121 km on a fully juiced battery. TVS says the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
In terms of hardware, the scooter retains the same underpinnings as other iQube variants. For suspension duties, it employs telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 220mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. Feature-wise, the new variant continues to offer a

The 3.1kWh model is priced Rs 12,000 higher than the base 2.2kWh version, but undercuts the 3.5kWh variant by Rs 21,000. This middle-ground approach could appeal to buyers who want more range than the base version but don't need the higher price tag of the top-spec model. Nissan Magnite authorised CNG kit costs less than iPhone. Nissan India has kicked off the second phase of its factory-authorised CNG retrofitment rollout for the Magnite SUV. As part of this latest phase, the CNG option is now available at authorised dealerships in Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu. While Nissan hasn't shared the official mileage figures post-conversion, it promises improved fuel efficiency with the CNG setup. Motozen will also provide a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres on the kit's components. Speaking of the model, it gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, wireless charger, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Safety has also received an upgrade with six airbags, electronic stability control, and three-point seatbelts for all seats now standard across the range. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team and Chennai Super Kings, is enjoying his near exit from the career. Catamaran is the family office of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murthy. It is looking out for joint ventures (JVs), which can give the success they achieved with global giants like Amazon and Aon as reported by Moneycontrol . Success Of Past JVs In 2014, Catamaran and Amazon had jointly set up Cloudtail as a 51:49 platform had trained sellers to sell on Amazon, and became one of the top sellers on the e-commerce platform. As this JV was successful, in 2021, both announced exiting Cloudtail due to changing landscape and e-commerce rules. Within this short period, the Murthys earned over $110 million (Rs 915 crore) in profits in eight years. The investment was of Rs $50 million (Rs 417 crore) from the JV, as per media reports. After this success, the family office started looking out for similar ventures. Catamaran's New Plan In 2025, precision manufacturing is a big theme for Catamaran because they think that partnership with new edge technology can create jobs and value. 'Think about…the Amazon JV — bringing a global platform, building locally, and creating jobs. We want to do the same in precision manufacturing. But we don't want to play just in original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or high-volume, low-margin businesses. We want to build the supply chain,' Ranganath MD, Chairman at Catamaran told Moneycontrol in an interview. Catamaran is also planning to focus on precision manufacturing in Electric vehicle (EV) supply chains, electronics, aerospace and more. 'But we're clear: we don't claim to know manufacturing better than domain experts. If we do a JV in this space, it'll probably be a three-way partnership,' Ranganath MD added. While talking about three-way partnership in the same interview, he said: 'Catamaran will bring the capital and India know-how, the Indian promoter brings local expertise and a third partner will bring global manufacturing tech and process knowledge.'
