We hit 46 in our Raiders countdown to kickoff. Who wore it best and who's wearing it now

We've reached 46 days until the Raiders season opener at Foxboro against the Patriots, With our countdown at 46 days we take a look at who currently dons the number in Silver & Black and who has brought it the most distinction. No. 46 Who's wearing it now: TE Carter Runyon Runyon is an undrafted rookie out of Towson. Who wore it best: TE Todd Christensen The only tight end to ever lead the Raiders in receiving four-straight seasons. Christensen went to five Pro Bowls and was a two-time All Pro. He was on both of the Raiders Super Bowl teams in the 80s. The final one, he was the top receiver on the team, catching 92 passes for 1247 yards and 12 touchdowns. He added another 14 catches for 134 yards in the playoffs. I will always remember Christensen most from the NFL Films recounting of Super Bowl XVIII on which Christensen was telling the story of Marcus Allen's legendary reverse-field touchdown run and gets visibly choked up reciting how the announcers said Allen was 'running with the night'. It was clearly one of the greatest moments of Christensen's life. A life that ended too soon as the legendary tight end passed away in 2013 at the age of 57.

See it: Odell Beckham Jr. training for NFL comeback with Giants helmet by his side

Could the New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. be headed for a reunion? If Beckham has his way, sure. He was recently seen working out next to his old Giants' No. 13 helmet, seemingly sending a hint to general manager Joe Schoen that he's open to returning to the team that drafted him. Beckham was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Giants in the 2014 NFL draft and played five seasons for Big Blue. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 and went on to play in three Pro Bowls as a Giant. Beckham was traded to Cleveland in March of 2019 and then went on ot play for the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and Miami Dolphins. He caught a touchdown in the Super Bowl as a member of the Rams, but tore his ACL in the game and missed the 2022 season. Now 32 and healthy, Beckham is a free agent again and has been pining for a return to New York, the place where he became a star. But OBJ has been injured often and is not the player he once was. He has not played a full season since 2016, when he was 24 years old. In closing, the Giants have made no public overtures that they would be receptive to bringing the volatile superstar back into the fold. They have a gaggle of young receivers in camp led by budding superstar Malik Nabers.

30 most important Bills players of 2025: No. 18 David Edwards

As the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2025 NFL season, we'll take a look at the most important contributors on their roster. They have a ton of cornerstone players who will be returning for another shot at bringing a Lombardi Trophy to Buffalo, and they'll have help from some new additions as well. Leading up to the season, we will be counting down the top 30 most important players on the roster. We'll recap their 2024 season, look ahead to what they'll offer in 2025, and tackle the most pressing questions surrounding them this coming year. Next up on the countdown is David Edwards. Background Position: Guard Age at start of season: 28 Experience: Seventh year 2025 cap hit: $4,905,000 2024 recap David Edwards started 16 games at left guard for the Bills in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, Edwards posted a 63.8 overall grade, which was good for the 59th ranked guard in the league out of 136. He allowed 25 total pressures, yet gave up zero sacks and only two QB hits. 2025 outlook Edwards is in line to be a big part of the Bills offensive line yet again as the starting left guard. He has started 61 games over his career after being a fifth-round pick by the Rams in 2019, and he has a Super Bowl ring from their 2021 season. All five of the Bills' starters on the o-line will be returning. Biggest question: What does the future hold? Edwards will be a 29-year-old, unrestricted free agent in 2026 after signing a two-year, six million dollar extension following the 2023 season. He'll have another season as a starter to prove he belongs as a part of the Bills' offensive line plans for the future. For now, he's locked into place as a starter and is surrounded by a whole lot of talent, with Connor McGovern to his right at center and Dion Dawkins to his left at left tackle. 30 Most Important Bills of 2025 Check back as we continue to countdown on our list of the 30 most important Bills ahead of the 2025 season.
