Amy Search files counter report denying Shila Amzah's assault claim at KL rehearsal
Berita Harian reported that Shah Alam police chief ACP Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed receiving the report last night, describing it as a 'counter report' rejecting Shila's allegations.
'Yes, a report was lodged, but it was more of a counter report and a denial. The case has been referred to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters,' he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.
Earlier, Harian Metro reported that Amy, whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, had given his statement at the Shah Alam police headquarters.
The move follows Shila's accusation that Amy had scolded her during the rehearsal last Thursday.
Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Datuk Usuf Jan Mohamad previously confirmed that an investigation paper had been opened into Shila's complaint of criminal intimidation.
Shila, full name Nurshahila Amir Amzah, alleged on Instagram that she was 'openly attacked' in front of crew members during the session.
Several veteran and popular artistes are set to perform at the upcoming concert.

Police: Two kids found on Seremban road weren't abandoned, wandered off while dad slept
KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — Police said two children shown in a viral video walking by the roadside in Seremban were not abandoned, but had slipped out of their home without their parents realising. The children left their home while their father was asleep and their mother at work, according to initial investigations. The case came to light after a video showing the pair near Section 2, Garden Avenue, began circulating online. Concerned residents quickly alerted the police, who responded promptly to the scene. Mohamad Hatta also said the children had wandered off without any ill intent. He then urged parents to secure their homes and avoid leaving small children unattended.

Police confirm charges against preacher accused by Nurul Izzah of molesting male teens under guise of ‘nasyid'
KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — A celebrity preacher previously implicated in a sexual molestation case highlighted by PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has reportedly been charged in court, police have confirmed. Harian Metro cited Senior Asst Comm Siti Kamsiah Hassan, head of Bukit Aman's Sexual, Abuse and Child Investigation Division (D11), confirming that eight police reports were lodged against the preacher. 'The sexual molestation cases involving the celebrity preacher in Penang are currently being heard in court,' she reportedly said. 'All the victims are male teenagers aged between 13 and 16.' She said the incidents occurred in Penang and Kedah, with charges filed in 2023, 2024 and this year. Nurul Izzah previously alleged on Facebook that the preacher had exploited young boys' interests in nasyid music to carry out his acts. She said the victim later lodged a police report after experiencing the alleged harassment. Nurul Izzah pledged to stand by the victims after the preacher was said to have filed a lawsuit against the victim's family, demanding a public apology.
