Lim Ji-yeon, known for her critically acclaimed performance in Netflix revenge thriller 'The Glory,' takes on Wi Jeong-sin, a political reporter whose beat gets switched to entertainment coverage mid-investigation. The character setup promises fish-out-of-water comedy as the serious journalist clashes with the industry she's now forced to cover.
Kim Ga-ram, who helmed legal drama 'Good Partner' and Netflix's drama-romance 'Nevertheless,' will direct from scripts by Jung Yeo-rang ('Doctor Cha'). The creative team is positioning the series as both an industry satire and romantic comedy, mining humor from the entertainment world's inner workings.
The casting represents a strategic play by Prime Video to capitalize on the global Korean content boom. Lee Jung-jae's post-'Squid Game' star power, combined with Lim Ji-yeon's rising profile, could help the streamer compete with Netflix's dominance in the K-drama space.
'Nice to Not Meet You' will join Prime Video's growing slate of Korean originals, alongside titles like 'Head Over Heels,' 'Good Boy' and anime acquisitions including 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' and 'Rurouni Kenshin.'
Prime Video will roll out the series globally across more than 240 countries and territories with weekly episode drops. No premiere date has been announced.

It's about a man who begins using an experimental technology that allows him to experience different timelines of his life. — The 'Outlander' prequel 'Outlander: Blood of my Blood' debuts on Starz on Friday, Aug. 8. It's about the parents of Claire and Jamie from 'Outlander.' Unlike its predecessor, 'Blood of my Blood' does not have source material by author Diana Gabaldon but its showrunner Matthew B. Mafia: The Old Country aims to deliver an origin story of sorts, traveling to 1900s Sicily. Enzo Favara is a young man who's suffered a rough childhood, and he is hoping to improve his status by working for the Torrisi crime family. That means pulling off heists, punching out rivals and killing anyone who might threaten the Don. The cars may be slower and the weapons may not be as slick, but if you're bummed out about having to wait for the next Grand Theft Auto, you might want to spend some time with the original gangsters. New ‘Virtua Fighter' Looks Stunning In Latest Gameplay Trailer
It took a while, but we've finally been shown some proper gameplay footage from the new Virtua Fighter, and it looks incredible. The Virtua Fighter series is one that I consider to be 'serious' in terms of how each of the games plays. There is a genuine and impressive level of functional complexity and nuance in these games, and outside of Japan, they haven't been properly appreciated. Decades ago, when I lived in Japan for the first time, I remember vividly how Virtua Fighter 4 was received in the arcades. It was treated as something apart from other games at the time, and the scene surrounding it was verging on academic in terms of its gameplay analysis. So a new Virtua Fighter has a lot to live up to, not least because both Street Fighter and Tekken have pushed the graphical bar already very high for modern fighting games. Thankfully, from the new gameplay trailer (shown below), it's clear that both the graphical and functional benchmarks have been undertaken with impressive diligence for this new Virtua Fighter. While not much is known about this new Virtua Fighter game, the good news is that it will receive more information around the time of the Tokyo Game Show, which is next month. Now if only Sega would do something similar for the criminally overlooked Virtual On series. It's also worth mentioning that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is readily available on most platforms already, with Switch 2 support to be announced at a later date.
