Officials from the Ultimate Fighting Championship have finalised an upgraded broadcast team structure for UFC 317, featuring Ilia Topuria against Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight title at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday.
This is their most competitive commentary team that many believe they have seen in 2025, with Jon Anik serving as the lead on the play-by-play call alongside the greatest of all time, Joe Rogan and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier. The team choosing this strategy of broadcasting also indicates the significance of the main event on International Fight Week, as Topuria will attempt to win his second divisional title after relinquishing the featherweight championship in February.
Jon Anik and Joe Rogan lead the premium commentary configuration
The choice of having Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier in the same event is the Ultimate Fighting Championship's way of ensuring that the fight between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira is presented with optimum production quality. The preparation and statistical expertise of Jon Anik set the perfect stage for Joe Rogan to deliver his technical analysis and Daniel Cormier to offer his championship-level analysis.
This three-man team has made some of the most memorable calls in Ultimate Fighting Championship history, such as several title fights during 2024 and the beginning of 2025.
Megan Olivi will be the in-house reporter during the evening, interviewing fighters and generally reporting behind the scenes. She has the experience of covering high-profile Ultimate Fighting Championship events, and this makes her invaluable in giving the emotional intensity behind the lightweight debut of Ilia Topuria and the championship redemption journey that Charles Oliveira seeks.
The broadcast team is also composed of Brendan Fitzgerald at the analysis desk, aided by the former Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, and former title challengers Chael Sonnen and Anthony Smith.

International Fight Week demands elevated broadcast standards
The improvement of the broadcast team of Ultimate Fighting Championship is directly linked to the prestige of the International Fight Week, as well as the legacy of the possible two-division champion Ilia Topuria.
It will also include a flyweight title defence by Alexandre Pantoja against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event, which would make the atmosphere a double-championship affair, and thus would require premium commentary coverage.
Charles Oliveira is coming into the fight to reclaim his lightweight title in the wake of his prior title reign between 2021 and 2022, introducing elements of the story that can only be handled by experienced broadcast professionals.
The primary card will start at 10:00 PM Eastern Time on ESPN+ pay-per-view, and the prelims will take place earlier in the evening. UFC has smartly placed this event as the main event of International Fight Week, which features Ultimate Fighting Championship BJJ series finals, Hall of Fame induction ceremony and official weigh-ins on Friday.

The shakeup of the broadcast team to provide the coverage of UFC 317 highlights Ultimate Fighting Championship understanding that the match between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira is potentially a watershed moment in the history of the lightweight division and that there is nothing that could be done to cover all the crucial moments of this title fight except their best commentating team.

Stefon Diggs trains like a beast even while vacationing in a castle with Cardi B
Cardi B lives like royalty as Stefon Diggs surprises her with castle vacation in the heart of France (Getty Images) Most of us would be chilling by the pool if we were staying in a literal 13th-century castle in France with Cardi B. But not Stefon Diggs. The man's on vacation, surrounded by chandeliers and moats, and he's still out here hitting workouts like Week 1 is tomorrow. Talk about a grindset. The wide receiver isn't just winning in the romance department, he's proving he might be one of the NFL's hardest workers too. Stefon Diggs and Cardi B are living their royal fantasy in a real French castle Yes, this isn't a metaphor. Stefon Diggs rented out the Château de Farcheville, a legit medieval castle just outside Paris, for a dreamy escape with Cardi B. We're talking stone towers, a full-blown moat, grand halls, and rooms straight out of Bridgerton. According to The Cut , the castle goes for a casual $12,000 per night, and it comes with wild extras like a music room, underground wine cellar, a spa, and even a spot where Cardi joked she would 'take that royal s—.' Iconic. Cardi went full MTV Cribs on Instagram, showing off the massive estate and asking the very valid question: 'Why this man got us staying in a castle?' Let's be honest, we were all wondering the same thing. But Stefon Diggs wasn't just lounging, he was grinding like it was training camp While Cardi was giving castle-core queen, Diggs was giving boot camp prince. She posted videos of him actually training on the castle grounds, working out with resistance bands and going through drills while the rest of us would've been floating in the indoor pool. Because apparently, 'no days off' applies even when there are literal knights' statues and gold leaf ceilings involved. That's dedication, you don't just fake for the 'Gram. Diggs and Cardi just made things public with their courtside debut at a Knicks game earlier this summer. This castle trip? It feels like the hard launch of a football-rap power couple. With Cardi teasing her next album and Diggs gearing up for a fresh chapter in Houston, this French getaway is doing double duty: it's romance and PR rolled into one. 'Shubman Gill didn't have Virat Kohli's aura': India's Test captain slammed after Headingley defeat
Shubman Gill (Getty Images) NEW DELHI: England registered a five-wicket win over India in the opening Test of the five-match series at Headingley, successfully chasing a challenging target of 371 on Tuesday. Ben Duckett led the charge with a brilliant 149, sealing a memorable victory for the hosts. For India, the match marked a tough beginning to Shubman Gill 's tenure as Test captain, despite the team producing five individual centuries. The result drew sharp scrutiny from former captains Nasser Hussain and Ravi Shastri, who expressed concerns over Gill's on-field leadership and tactical decisions. Former England captain Nasser Hussain compared Gill's presence and authority to his predecessors. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! "I thought I saw someone just finding his way, honestly. You've got to be very careful in the first Test match, the people he's taken over from, Kohli, and then Rohit Sharma. I thought he didn't quite have that on-field aura as the names I mentioned there. You look down on those two previous names, and you immediately see who was in charge of India," Hussain said on Sky Sports. Hussain also pointed out that Gill appeared to be sharing responsibilities with multiple senior players, which can sometimes happen when a new leader is still finding his feet. Poll What did you think about Shubman Gill's performance as captain in the first Test against England? Strong leadership Needs improvement Uncertain Not enough data yet "I looked down from the press box, the commentary position, there were a lot of captains; it was a bit captaincy by committee, which can happen in your early days as a leader because you're still senior players like Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul want to try and help you out as much as possible. I thought he followed the ball a lot. I thought he was reactive as opposed to proactive," he said. Gambhir & Agarkar Plot at the Birmingham Nets | Key Talks Ahead of 2nd Test vs England He also questioned India's bowling tactics during the match — particularly the use of Ravindra Jadeja — and suggested Gill could have been more assertive in guiding his senior spinner. "A word with Jadeja, maybe as a young captain, to go to such an experienced spinner, and go, you do know the rough is out there. Ravi Shastri and Mark Butcher are up there, going, show us where that ball is pitching, and it was pitching nowhere near the rough," Hussain explained. Hussain wrapped up his assessment with a comment on the final result and the lack of on-field communication around key bowling strategies. "Ravi was saying, a bit slow, a bit wide, bowl in the rough. I was surprised that not one of the senior players or captains went to Jadeja and said, Can we go a little bit wider. But Ravi's right, they lost the game for two things that he couldn't control," he added. As India look ahead to the second Test, questions are already being raised about Gill's tactical instincts and whether he can grow into the leadership role as the series progresses. Jordon Hudson torches Bill Belichick's ex Linda Holliday after discovering letter she now calls ‘delusional'
Jordon Hudson hits back at Linda Holliday's private letter in fiery online feud over Bill Belichick (Getty Images) Things are heating up off the football field for former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, but this time, the drama isn't about playbooks—it's about a fiery love triangle making waves on social media. His current girlfriend, 24-year-old pageant contestant Jordon Hudson, has allegedly taken direct aim at his longtime ex-partner Linda Holliday in a now-viral Instagram exchange. Instagram war explodes as Jordon Hudson exposes Linda Holliday's 'delusional' letter to Bill Belichick According to the Daily Mail, Hudson was engaged in a heated back-and-forth with someone she believed to be close to Holliday. The argument ignited when the woman allegedly branded Hudson a 'gold digger' and accused her of taking advantage of the 73-year-old NFL legend. Hudson, however, did not hold back in her response and delivered a blistering message that included references to a letter Holliday wrote to Belichick nearly a decade ago. 'Hey babes! Since you are tight with Ms Holliday, would you please ask her what she would like me to do with this letter I found from 2015?' Hudson reportedly wrote in a message shared via screenshot. She added, 'Due to its pathetic and embarrassing content, I imagine she wants it back. She should make the point to burn it so she continue [sic] to live in delusional denial.' The letter in question was supposedly found by Hudson at Belichick's $2.2 million Hingham home in an old invoice file. In it, Holliday had allegedly poured out her frustrations over being excluded from aspects of Belichick's life and his ongoing loyalty to ex-wife Debbie Clarke. Holliday had written, 'I'm the one that loves and adores you... tries to ALWAYS remind you how grateful I am of your love,' expressing feelings of being sidelined in favor of Clarke, despite her love and commitment to the coach. Belichick and Holliday were together for 16 years before parting ways in 2023. Shortly after, Belichick's romance with Hudson became public. The couple reportedly first met on a flight in 2021 and have since been spotted attending high-profile events, including the NFL Honors. But Hudson's entry into Belichick's world has been far from seamless. Page Six reports that she has been 'iced out' by Nantucket's elite social scene—where Holliday remains a central figure. Her growing influence in Belichick's post-Patriots chapter has raised eyebrows too, especially after she was seen on the field at UNC, where Belichick has taken a new role. Some reports suggest she's even being looped into work emails and possibly pitching involvement in media projects like Hard Knocks. Despite the noise, Belichick has publicly defended Hudson, stating she leads his 'professional opportunities' outside UNC. Whether this storm settles or intensifies remains to be seen—but one thing is clear: this isn't your typical offseason drama.
