Patsy Kensit dodges tense Liam Gallagher question with blunt four-word statement

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher's ex wife Patsy Kensit has shared a stern four-word statement about the band's long-awaited reunion tour, which kicks off tonight in Cardiff As Oasis prepares to take the stage in Cardiff for their long-awaited Oasis Live '25 reunion tour, Liam Gallagher 's ex-wife Patsy Kensit has made one thing clear; she's not getting involved. The actress, 57, who was married to Liam from 1997 until their split in 2000, walked the red carpet this week for the West End opening of Fawlty Towers, where Good Morning Britain caught up with her. ‌ With her arm in a sling, Kensit was asked whether she planned to attend any of the reunion shows, which marks the first time Liam and brother Noel have performed together since 2009. ‌ She was quick to set boundaries. 'My 24-year-old son is gonna be there, and gonna have a lovely time, great for him to see all of that,' she shared. 'I'm happy for his dad, I think it's a wonderful thing, but I won't be attending." When pressed further on how the feuding brothers might hold it together for a full tour, Kensit shut the topic down altogether. 'I think I've said enough now about that. I send only love and light," she said firmly. Last year, as rumors of a reunion swirled, Kensit posted a message on Instagram, distancing herself from the narrative. 'I will say no more than this I am really happy for Liam and Noel. I'm sure the tour is going to be thrilling and I send nothing but love and light to them both… No more questions it was 25 years ago.' Her reluctance to revisit the past likely stems from her tumultuous history with the Oasis frontman. ‌ In a previous interview with the Mirror, she opened up about the highs and lows of their relationship. At the time, she said: 'We just clicked on every level. He was protective and loving. When we were together there were fireworks, and a chemistry that lasted to the end." However, the reality behind the scenes was far less romantic for the actress. 'I cried every day for three and a half years… The first week we were living together he went AWOL. I'm just realising now that isn't normal… I gave the most I'll ever give. I'm gutted it didn't work out.' As for the band itself, tensions may still be simmering. A source close to the tour revealed that as rehearsals began, they didn't go smoothly as hoped. 'Liam barely even stayed for the first eight songs before leaving the rehearsals early, and Noel continued on his own," a source revealed. ‌ Oasis's long-awaited reunion tour, Oasis Live '25, storms back into stadiums tonight debuting on July 4–5 in Cardiff, then heating up Manchester's Heaton Park with four nights in July. They will then play London's Wembley for another four dates in late July and early August, before performing at Edinburgh's Murrayfield for three mid-August shows. Liam and Noel will wrap up the UK & Ireland leg at Dublin's Croke Park across two nights. After that, the brothers take their iconic Britpop anthems worldwide, touching down in arenas across North America, Asia, Australia, and South America through November.

Excitement builds as Oasis to play first gig in almost 16 years in Cardiff

Excitement is building in Cardiff as Oasis kickstart their long-awaited worldwide reunion tour in Wales' capital - their first concert in almost 16 years. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform together for the first time since their dramatic split in 2009, when they appear at the Welsh capital's Principality Stadium. The brothers announced the Oasis Live '25 tour last August, starting with two dates in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday, before heading across the UK and Ireland. Doors are expected to open at 5pm, with Cast and the Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft in support. Former members of the group are expected to make a return, with Andy Bell on bass, and Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on guitars. Noel was spotted getting off the train in Cardiff on Tuesday, while a drone display spelling out the band's name could be seen over the stadium on Wednesday. Fans across the city have also heard what they believe to be rehearsals in the Principality throughout the week. The reunion announcement came 15 years after Noel quit the Britpop band, saying he 'simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,' following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. While fans have been pleading for the group to reunite since they disbanded, website issues and controversial dynamic pricing brought outrage, with many failing to secure a spot. After tickets for the UK and Ireland shows went on sale last year, some standard tickets appeared to have jumped from £148 to £355. The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing. Following Cardiff, Oasis will visit Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September. The group will then head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America. A movie, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is being made in conjunction with the reunion tour. Formed in Manchester in 1991, the rock band was led by lead guitarist Noel and his brother, lead vocalist Liam, during their 18 years together. Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993, rising to fame with the release of their debut chart-topping album Definitely Maybe on August 29 1994. They had hits with songs including Don't Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall and Live Forever. Dig Out Your Soul, the band's last studio album, was released in 2008, just months before the Paris row.

Patsy Kensit abruptly shuts down awkward Oasis question about ex Liam Gallagher

The Don't Look Back In Anger legends kick off their Oasis Live '25 tour tonight at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff and 24 hours earlier, the actress was asked about her ex-husband's comeback. On the red carpet for Fawlty Towers on the West End, Good Morning Britain caught up with Patsy – whose left arm was in a sling – and asked if she'd be making it to one of the shows. 'My 24-year-old son is gonna be there, and gonna have a lovely time, great for him to see all of that,' she revealed. 'I'm happy for his dad, I think it's a wonderful thing, but I won't be attending.' GMB's Melvin Odoom revealed Patsy was also asked how Liam and Noel can keep things civil on their reunion tour, but she shut down the question. 'I think I've said enough now about that,' she added. 'I send only love and light.' It's perhaps not surprising she was so short, having previously insisted she didn't want to talk about the Oasis reunion anymore. In September, Patsy wrote on Instagram that she's 'really happy for Liam and Noel' as their sibling rivalry thawed. However, she added: 'I will say no more than this I am really happy for Liam and Noel. I'm sure the tour is going to be thrilling and I send nothing but love and light to them both… No more questions it was 25 years ago'. Patsy previously opened up about her three-year marriage to Liam – who she met in 1995 and tied the knot with in 1997 – shortly after their divorce was made official in 2000. At the time, she told the Mirror: 'We just clicked on every level. He was protective and loving. When we were together there were fireworks, and a chemistry that lasted to the end.' However, she also revealed she cried 'every day for three and a half years'. She added: 'The first week we were living together he went AWOL. I'm just realising now that isn't normal. 'I'd made a commitment that I was determined to make successful, despite all the warning signs. I gave the most I'll ever give. I'm gutted it didn't work out.' Noel, 58, and younger brother Liam, 52, haven't performed together since 2009 when they announced their split, sparking a long feud between the pair. More Trending Speaking before the first show of the reunion tour, a source hinted that the brothers are still keeping some distance. 'It's all gearing up now,' they began. 'Technical rehearsals for the band started on Monday, and then Noel and Liam joined them a couple of days later. 'But Liam barely even stayed for the first eight songs before leaving the rehearsals early, and Noel continued on his own.' Got a story?
