Discover the best tower fans in Canada: review airflow, noise levels, energy efficiency, and top places to buy at the best price.
In most areas of Canada, summer days can quickly become unbearable, especially if you're sensitive to the heat. While air conditioners can provide plenty of relief, sometimes they just can't get the job done by themselves. And if you tend to overheat in a home office or gym, you might be looking for more direct cooling. Luckily, there's a single solution for both problems!
Tower fans are one of the fastest and easiest ways to cool yourself down when you're struggling with the heat. They're easy to move around the house where you need them, they're versatile enough to suit different needs, and most of them are fairly affordable. If you need some help maintaining your ideal temperature, a tower fan just might be the way to go!
If you're ready to buy a new or replacement tower fan, we'd love to help you find the best fit. Tower fans will vary in things like price, overall size, speeds, oscillation, timer settings, and much more. If you're keen on getting something perfect for your space, all of these features are important to think about.
This comprehensive guide will investigate the best tower fans in Canada right now and outline the criteria you should consider while making your purchase decision. Let's dive right into our top five products.

Our Top Pick for The Best Tower Fan
Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan Review
What We Think of the Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan
The Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan is incredibly well-rounded, and we're excited to tell you all about it. As a bladeless fan, it's incredibly quiet, and that's even more true if you use it at night in sleep mode—it runs at a staggering 25 dB. You won't even notice it's on! There are three other modes and six fan speeds, too.
With 90-degree oscillation, this tower fan is perfectly capable of covering your entire living space by itself—every inch of the room will get some air flow directed to it. If a versatile timer is more of a priority for you, this fan is still a great option. The timer can extend as long as 12 hours. Perfect, right? With a handy remote control, you won't even need to get up to make changes.
Honestly, the only feature this tower fan is missing is any type of smart connectivity. If you're hoping for a fan that is voice assistant compatible or syncs to a companion app, you'll be out of luck with this one. Otherwise, the mid-level price might be the only thing that pushes you in a different direction. This thing is great.
All in all, the Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan is an easy favourite for us this year, and we think it will be for you too. It's user-friendly, versatile, and incredibly easy to set up anywhere in your home. What's not to love about this one?

What Reviewers Are Saying About the Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan
Reviewers are extremely happy with the Dreo DR-HTF001 Tower Fan. They're especially pleased with the sleep mode since it dims the display and is super quiet (one person even had to check it was still working!), but the more powerful modes and speeds are highly effective for cooling their main living spaces. The timer is useful, too.

Our Connected Pick
Dreo 42" Smart Tower Fan Review
What We Think of the Dreo 42" Smart Tower Fan
The Dreo 42" Smart Tower Fan has a lot to offer. If you're interested in a connected pick, you probably want to hear about the smart features first, right? This option has a companion app that lets you adjust settings and make schedules, and it's also compatible with multiple voice assistants for hands-free operation. Isn't that convenient? It has a regular remote, too, of course.
The versatility of this one is also something to admire. With four different modes and nine different speeds, you'll always be able to find the right setting combination for your needs. A 12-hour timer offers tons of flexibility, too. Since it has a bladeless design, it's also the easiest fan to keep clean and offers tool-free assembly. Amazing. It's also one of the quietest fans you'll ever meet, so that's a huge bonus as well.
The only possible thing you might not like about this tower fan is the price tag. While it's not the most expensive option out there, it is at the higher end of the price range for most tower fans. If you won't take advantage of its versatility or all of its connected features, you might be better off with a more affordable option.
All in all, the Dreo 42" Smart Tower Fan is our top recommendation for anyone who is looking for a tower fan with connected features. A companion app and voice assistant compatibility make it an ultra-smart fan, and it still offers all of the other performance essentials you're looking for.
Performance: 5/5

Our Upgrade Pick
Dyson AM07 Tower Fan Review
What We Think of the Dyson AM07 Tower Fan
The Dyson AM07 Tower Fan is pretty impressive. Its most compelling feature by far is its unique method of air flow. With innovative air amplification technology, this fan doesn't need any blades to move a huge amount of air through it—no matter how much help you need staying cool, this fan is up to the task. Its unique design also provides a pretty stunning minimalist aesthetic, so that's a huge bonus!
We really appreciate that this option has 10 different speeds for you to choose from—you'll be able to get it exactly right instead of settling for something a little too soft or a little too strong. The remote control is also pretty cool. The minimalist buttons make it intuitive to use, and since it's magnetic, it attaches to the top of the fan so you can't misplace it as easily. How's that for convenient?
There are a few things that you might not love about this option. The high price tag is probably top of that list. It's one of the single most expensive options out there, so we totally understand that some of you just won't think it's worth it. The lack of smart features and the limited oscillation range (70 degrees) are some other shortcomings worth mentioning. Hopefully, they won't be dealbreakers if you love this fan.
Overall, the Dyson AM07 Tower Fan was a no-brainer addition to our top five list this year. If a sleek, minimalist design, innovative remote, and high-powered air flow appeal to you, there is no better tower fan for you than this one.
Performance: 5/5
Usability: 4.5/5
Price: 2/5
Quality: 5/5
What Reviewers Are Saying About the Dyson AM07 Tower Fan
Reviewers have a very high opinion of the Dyson AM07 Tower Fan. It looks a lot nicer than standard tower fans and is a lot more powerful. They're really impressed that it's so quiet even on the highest airflow level. Some people question whether it's really worth such a high price, but most people are happy with it and recommend it for others.
Dyson AM07 Tower Fan Pros and Cons
Buy If…
A great aesthetic is important to you
You tend to lose small remotes
High-powered, silent air flow is what you're after
You love to be precise with the air speed
Don't Buy If…
You're not prepared to spend a lot on a tower fan
You'd prefer a wide oscillation range
You want smart features
Dyson AM07 Tower Fan Specifications

Our Compact Pick
Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan Review
What We Think of the Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan
When it comes to compact tower fans, the Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan is the best possible option. As a mini tower fan, it weighs only 1.8 pounds and is only thirteen inches tall—it'll fit anywhere you need it to. It has a carry handle for extra portability, too! This tiny fan is also really quiet, so it's a great companion for sleeping, working, or just chilling out.
People who like to support eco-friendly items will also be happy with this one. It's made with a limited plastic design and is very efficient with energy usage, so you won't have to worry about your carbon footprint with this one. Four unique cooling modes offer more flexibility than you'd expect at this price point, too.
Unfortunately, we also have to mention the shortcomings here. With only four speeds and three timer options, this fan doesn't offer as much versatility as you might be used to. It also isn't very powerful, so it can't help cool an entire room. We also want you to know that it doesn't come with a remote control (inconvenient, we know) and doesn't offer the best longevity.
All in all, the Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan is the perfect choice if you need a desk fan, bedside table fan, or a travelling companion for hotels. It's super portable, easy to use, and affordable. What more could you ask for?
Performance: 4.5/5
Usability: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
What Reviewers Are Saying About the Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan
Reviewers have mixed feelings about the Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan. They appreciate the compact size since it sits nicely on a desk or bedside table, and the four cooling modes offer a decent amount of versatility. It isn't very powerful on the lower settings, though, and it isn't very durable. Some people would also have preferred a remote.
Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan Pros and Cons
Buy If…
Eco-friendliness is important to you
You don't have a lot of space for a tower fan, or you need one for travelling
Multiple cooling modes would be nice
Quiet operation is a must
Don't Buy If…
Versatile speed and timer settings are something you want
You don't want to do without a remote control
Longevity is a priority
Honeywell HTF210BC QuietSet 13" Mini Tower Fan Specifications
Dimensions: 4.7' x 4.7' x 13'

Our Budget Pick
Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan Review
What We Think of the Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan
We really like the Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan for people shopping on a budget. It offers one of the lowest price tags you'll be able to find right now, so it should easily fit into most, if not all, budgets. Everyone deserves heat relief, right? The included remote makes it easy to adjust settings from a distance, so you won't have to get up from your comfy bed or couch.
This tower fan is also an amazing option for sleeping. The display automatically dims in 15 seconds after changing a setting, so it won't keep the room too light for deep sleep. It also has a tall base below the fan, so the airflow actually reaches the surface of the bed, so you can enjoy it. The lightweight, carry handle, and onboard remote storage make it easy to move around the house and tuck it in a closet during the winter.
There are a couple of reasons this fan might not be your perfect fit. First, it doesn't offer any smart features, so if you'd like to connect with a companion app or voice assistant, you're out of luck with this one. Second, this one doesn't offer as much power as higher-end (and more expensive) options, so if you're competing against extremely hot temperatures, it might not quite do the job you need it to.
All in all, the Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan is our top recommendation if you want to spend as little as possible. Tower fans don't get more budget-friendly than this one, and it still has lots of great features to offer.
Performance: 4.5/5
Usability: 4.5/5
Price: 5/5
Quality: 5/5
What Reviewers Are Saying About the Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan
Reviewers have mostly positive things to say about the Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan. It's a bit lower in power than they would like, so it doesn't help as much on exceptionally hot days, but for warm days it does just fine. They appreciate that it's raised up and has a dimming display so they can sleep well without interruption. They're really happy with how quiet it is, too.
Honeywell HYF260BC QuietSet Whole Room 40' Tower Fan Pros and Cons
Buy If…
You'd appreciate a tower fan that's easy to move around and store
An affordable price tag is your biggest priority
You need a fan to stay cool while sleeping
You'd love to control the fan from a distance

You want smart features
You need a fan with a lot of power

How to Properly Choose Your Tower Fan
Price
Some tower fans cost less than $50, others cost ten times that much. Most people won't need to spend more than $200 for a perfect fan, though. Generally, more expensive tower fans will offer higher-powered airflow, more speed settings, smart features, and more versatile timers.
Oscillation
Almost every tower fan out there will offer oscillation, although it's a good thing to double-check if that feature is important to you. The oscillation range will differ between 70 and 120 degrees on average, so if you're looking for full-room coverage, you'll want to prioritize a greater range of motion.
Speeds
Tower fans should offer at least a few speed options so you can get the right airflow for your environment. Some will only offer two or three, others might have as many as nine or ten. If you like to be precise with your airflow, more is better here.
Timer
Many tower fans include a timer with an automatic shutoff so you can have relief when you need it, but not have to worry about shutting it off manually, such as when you're asleep. Some timers only offer a few settings, others will offer 15-minute increments or a range as long as 12 hours.
Remote Control
Most tower fans will come with a remote control so you can operate the fan from a distance, and this is a great feature to prioritize. Some of the mini versions won't have remotes, so that's something to pay attention to.
Smart Features
Some tower fans will be equipped with smart features to let you control the fan with a companion app or with voice assistants. These features aren't super common, but they're out there if you're interested in them. You won't even have to pay top dollar for them.

The legislation, which became law last year, includes a June 30 deadline for companies to pay the levy retroactive to 2022 — a potentially $2 billion tax bill. Canadian lawmakers insisted this week that the deadline still stands. Development of the DST came amidst ongoing battles with Google and Meta over revenue sharing for Canadian news articles — a move that to this day prevents Canadians from posting or viewing news articles on Facebook and Instagram. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. Google, after testing rotating bans on Canadians' ability to search for news on its platform, eventually came to a $100 million deal with Canadian news publishers last June. In a September 2023 letter from members of the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means committee, Canada's DST was described as 'unusually aggressive' and said American workers would bear the brunt of the tax. 'Given our prolific trading relationship with Canada, its retroactive DST proposal would be especially damaging to U.S. industry and workers,' read that letter, strongly encouraging then-President Joe Biden to use 'trade agreements and domestic trade statues' to force Canada to reverse their decision. The DST means big money for federal coffers — a 2023 report from the Parliamentary Budget Office suggested the tax could see the government collecting $7.2 billion in revenues over five years. bpassifiume@ X: @bryanpassifiume RECOMMENDED VIDEO Music Crime Canada Toronto Maple Leafs Toronto Raptors
