Issue 21 lakh new pattadar passbooks in first phase from August, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tells Revenue officials
Addressing a review meeting on the Revenue Department on Friday, Mr. Naidu ordered that due priority be accorded to solving the problems that arose during the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime. Besides, the re-survey should be completed by the end of 2027, he added.
Mr. Naidu said 17,600 revenue grievance meetings had been organised after the coalition government was formed, and of the 1.85 lakh petitions received, 1,84,332 were resolved. Out of 1.93 lakh auto-mutation applications, 1.77 lakh were processed, and a special drive was underway to resolve the pending ones.
GoM meet on July 9
The Chief Minister told the officials to explain the legal complications in land matters to the affected parties so that amicable settlements could be reached.
The Group of Ministers (GoM) would meet on July 9 to discuss the regularisation of freehold lands in order to reach a final resolution by October 2025.
Mr. Naidu instructed the officials to bring out a new Revenue Manual, comprising all policies and G.Os, by August, and that QR codes should be printed on the pattadar passbooks.
Pictures of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that had been embossed on 77.90 lakh survey stones were removed. Having completed it, steps should be taken to issue new passbooks, he said.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to issue succession certificates in respect of inherited lands and delegate the required powers to the officers concerned in the ward / village secretariats. If the value of such lands was up to ₹10 lakh, a sum of ₹100 should be paid to obtain the said certificate, and ₹1,000 if the value exceeded ₹10 lakh.
House sites for journalists
He also instructed the officials to look into the issue of sanction of house sites to journalists by duly complying with the relevant Supreme Court judgment.
As on date, 99,390 applications were received for house sites, which required an allotment of 2,051 acres under the Housing-for-All scheme.
As per the manifesto, two cents should be acquired per beneficiary in towns and three cents in villages.
The grievances received at the revenue meetings should be audited by private teams, he said, and asked the officials to retain the surveyors in the ward / village secretariats until the re-survey was completed.
The exercise to repeal the A.P. Non-Agricultural Lands Assessment Act must be completed and a report submitted to the Cabinet at the earliest, the Chief Minister said.
Mr. Naidu suggested that the Revenue Department provide a visual interface on the land portal so that ownership and boundary details would be displayed clearly. This would enable the potential buyers and sellers to verify information without much hassle.
Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration G. Jayalakshmi were among other officials present.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for a Mega Parent-Teacher meeting with a record 2,28,21,454 participants expected across 61,135 educational institutions. The state government termed the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting 2.0, scheduled on July 10, a unique initiative to strengthen the school-parent relationship. It claimed that for the first time in India, PTM will be held simultaneously across all government and private schools. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son, Education Minister Nara Lokesh, would be physically participating in the programme at Puttaparthy. Lokesh believes that progress in any sector depends on inclusive stakeholder participation. Determined to position Andhra Pradesh's education model as a national benchmark, the government has embraced reform, resolution and radical inclusion, he said. As a first step towards community-driven schooling, the first edition of Mega PTM was successfully conducted on December 7, 2024, reaching every corner of the state and creating a new culture of collaboration in education. PTM has been designed as a platform to bring parents closer to schools and create collective accountability in children's learning journeys. The first edition of PTM witnessed participation from 25.46 lakh parents, 27,395 alumni, 22,200 donors and 36,918 elected public representatives at 44,956 schools. The government has now extended Mega PTM 2.0 to private aided and unaided institutions as well. The School Education Department issued orders for PTM across all government, aided, unaided and junior colleges on July 10. The event is expected to witness participation from 74,96,228 students, 3,32,770 teachers, 1,49,92,456 parents, donors and stakeholders. A total of 2,28,21,454 participants are expected across 61,135 institutions. Preparations are in full swing for the event. Senior officials, including Kona Sasidhar (Secretary, School Education), Vijay Rama Raju V. (Director, School Education), Kritika Shukla (Director, Intermediate Education), and B. Srinivasa Rao (SPD, Samagra Shiksha), are monitoring the execution through video conferences. The government said this initiative aims to enable holistic community participation in education as recommended by the Right to Education Act, 2009 (RTE) and the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP). PTM is expected to strengthen trust between parents, teachers, and school communities. Parents get insights into their children's academic progress, behaviour, and social development, while teachers gain cooperation to support learning at home. Teachers will present holistic progress Cards to parents -- offering a 360-degree view of each child's academic journey. At public meetings led by headmasters, schools will present their performance, infrastructure needs and action plans. Fun activities and games will build camaraderie among parents and deepen their emotional engagement. Success stories of students and schools will be celebrated and showcased. Mega PTM 2.0 will also include family photo booths, positive parenting sessions, and a special activity: 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' -- planting a sapling in the mother's name. Students will receive a Green Passport to track the growth and nurturing of these trees. Students can register and receive saplings through the 'LEAP App'.

MSP for mangoes becomes major political flashpoint in Chittoor district
TIRUPATI: The issue of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for mango farmers has become a major political flashpoint in Chittoor district, following Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Kuppam on July 2. During the visit, Naidu promised immediate and long-term measures to resolve the pricing crisis. In response, YSRCP leaders announced that party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would visit Bangarupalem on July 9 to console mango farmers. Reacting swiftly, Naidu on July 3 convened an immediate meeting with mango farmers and processing unit owners at his Kuppam residence. He reiterated the coalition government's commitment to supporting farmers, and instructed officials to work on a permanent marketing strategy. Furthermore, the Chief Minister shot off a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, urging the removal of GST on mango processed products to support the industry and benefit farmers. He emphasised collaboration between farmers and processors. TDP leaders in Chittoor escalated their attack on the opposition, accusing YSRCP leaders of failing to support mango farmers when they were in power. Chittoor MLA Gurajala Jagan Mohan, Puthalapattu MLA Murali Mohan, and former MLC Dorababu alleged that leaders like Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy owned more than 15 mango processing units, and had not ensured support prices during their tenure.
