(Video) SEVENTEEN's Joshua, DK, & Dino Confirm Visit To Malaysia For Upcoming Mister Potato Event

Fans never tire of hearing exciting news about their favourite K-pop idols coming to Malaysia for concerts, fan meetings, or special appearances at brand events. We're only halfway through 2025, and the list of stars set to visit our shores is constantly being updated. Joining the list are three members of a popular boy group. Recently, Mister Potato Malaysia shared a photo featuring the silhouettes of three male idols, teasing K-pop fans with the news that they'll be making their way to Kuala Lumpur for a special appearance. Many made their guesses on who they could be, and it seems that the majority are correct! Last week, Mister Potato Malaysia announced their Jinjja Crunch collaboration with SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) members Joshua, DK, and Dino. The announcement video features the idols posing with three different flavours of the popular snack; Original, BBQ and Sour Cream & Onion. While an official statement regarding their visit to Malaysia has yet to be confirmed, the singers themselves appeared to spoil the surprise by posting a behind-the-scenes vlog of them filming promotional content for the brand. In the video posted yesterday (Tuesday, 22nd July), the members can be heard excitedly announcing that they'll be coming to Malaysia soon. 'We have 진짜 exciting news for you guys. We love you, Mister Potato! See you in Malaysia!' they said in the vlog. That particular moment quickly went viral among Malaysian fans, with many expressing their excitement about the visit. Some commented on how surprised they were to hear the news directly from the members before the brand had made an official announcement. Others are hoping that the upcoming event will be held at a larger venue, rather than a shopping centre, to accommodate not only meet-and-greet winners but also other fans who wish to see them in person. However, Joshua, DK, and Dino were not the first to spoil the surprise as MAMEE-Double Decker Group CEO, Mr. Pierre Pang, previously posted on his IG Story about the event when the brand first teased about the collab. At the time of writing, Mister Potato has yet to make the official announcement about the upcoming event with the 3 SEVENTEEN members. While we wait for more details, here's the behind-the-scenes vlog of the singers confirming their visit: The promo announcement video they filmed: Sources: Instagram, YouTube

See-To: Anwar vindicates Najib on his birthday, 'cash is king'

Former BN strategic communications deputy director Eric See-To took a cheeky swipe at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's 'extraordinary tribute' announcement by linking it to a catchphrase famously associated with his jailed predecessor, Najib Abdul Razak. In a social media post, See-To noted that today also marks Najib's birthday and remarked that Anwar's 'RM100 cash handout proves what was once ridiculed - that 'cash is king''. He was responding to the prime minister's announcement this morning that...

#SHOWBIZ: Rozita Rohaizad honoured with Anugerah Seniwati Negara

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singer and actress Rozita Rohaizad has been presented with the Anugerah Seniwati Negara 2025 (National Artiste Award 2025) by the Dewan Perniagaan Datuk Dato Malaysia (DPDDM). The daughter of the late screen legend Mariani Ismail expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the association's gesture, describing it as a fitting tribute to all veteran artistes. "Thank you so much, DPDDM. It's my first major award, and I'm genuinely surprised to have received it," Rozita told Harian Metro in an interview yesterday. Rozita, who was attending a graduation ceremony for acting students organised by Cinta Events & Entertainment when she received the accolade, was recognised for her significant contributions to promoting Malaysian music on the global stage. The singer, renowned for her hit song "Bila Ku Merindu", highlighted that the award signifies the deep appreciation many Malaysians have for the sacrifices made by veteran singers and actors, particularly those less familiar to the current generation. "All of us worked tirelessly on our music, dramas, and films without expecting huge rewards. May the current generation of arts enthusiasts remember our dedication and truly value our work," she said.
