Ohio State basketball coach Jake Diebler breaks down the game of big-man Josh Ojianwuna

There are a lot of new faces to get acclimated to for the Ohio State basketball team this coming season, and rightfully so. Head coach Jake Diebler kept some key pieces he felt were important for the team moving forward, and supplemented them with transfers and freshmen he believes will mold the team into one that can get back to the NCAA Tournament after the 2025-2026 season.
One of those new pieces is Baylor big-man transfer Josh Ojianwuna who came to Columbus to add size, depth, and another scoring option in the paint. He'll also provide some much-needed resistance in the paint and another rebounder to get Ohio State back into offensive sets.
Diebler has been taking to social media this offseason to provide some updates to the program, and part of that has been his breakdown of what some of the new faces bring to the team. He clearly likes what Ojianwuna can mean for the team. Take a look at how excited the OSU head man is to insert a big body like the native Nigerian when this winter season hits in the Schottenstein Center.
We're still months away from the OSU basketball season getting underway, but hopefully the new faces and the familiar ones can combine to make this season much better than the last three we've all witnessed.

Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey called out for alleged disruptive behavior with Dolphins

Jalen Ramsey is now a Pittsburgh Steeler — but one long-time sports writer believes the Dolphins were more than willing to part ways with the three-time All-Pro cornerback. According to Sun Sentinel writer Dave Hyde, there were specific behavioral issues from Ramsey that pushed the Dolphins to their breaking point: 'Let's start here: The Miami Dolphins won't miss cornerback Jalen Ramsey," Hyde said. "They won't miss him regularly showing up for practice as the rest of the team was in the middle of stretching. They won't miss how he constantly undermined defensive coordinator Vic Fangio two years ago and coach Mike McDaniel last season in a manner that spread like a bad odor through the larger team.' Yikes. These behavior concerns, if true, seem eerily similar to those of former Steelers wideout George Pickens — whose punctuality and immaturity made headlines more often than not last season. One could argue that both Ramsey and the Dolphins were ready for a change of scenery — but the same can't be said for now-former Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, whose leadership in Pittsburgh will be difficult to replicate. It's worth noting that there are always two sides to every story — as Steelers legends have been extremely welcoming of Ramsey, who's ready to make his stamp on the Steel City-brand of football. Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer turned down chance to be college football team's GM

Urban Meyer on becoming CFB general manager: 'I'd rather step on a rusty nail and pull it out myself' Despite former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer being out of college football now for over six years, it seems like his name still comes up when there are vacancies in the college game. His stint in the NFL was so bad that he'll likely never get a chance to prove himself at the highest level again, but he's still one of the best college football head coaches in the history of the game. These days, Meyer is working as an analyst with Fox Sports' "Big Noon Kickoff," but he also appears on his podcast, the "Triple Option," to discuss all things college football with some of his Fox College Football hosts. This past week, Meyer dove into a discussion about the future of college football with all the changes we've seen, and he let loose some little-known information. According to Meyer, he was approached by a college football team to be their General Manager, handling some of the business surrounding the new pay models and such that the sport is now working through. 'I don't know if I even told Rob (Stone) and Mark (Ingram) this, but I had a school come see me this year and ask if I wanted to be the GM,' Meyer said. 'And a couple other phone calls. And you start to think, 'OK, they actually came to see me,' so I said, 'Yeah, I'll meet and I'll sit down with you guys.'' Sounds intriguing, but also under the radar. So, why didn't we hear more about this? Well, according to Meyer, it was mainly the job description he wanted no part of. 'I said, 'OK, what is the job description?' They said, 'Well, basically you meet with all the agents of the 17-, 18-year-olds,'' Meyer said. 'And I thought, 'I'd rather step on a rusty nail and pull it out myself.' Ouch. Suffice it to say, we won't see Meyer in that capacity anytime soon. We'd all also like to know what school approached the three-time national championship-winning coach, but he didn't divulge that information. Too bad, but if Meyer doesn't want that type of job, I mean, who else would? It's a brave new world in college football, and Meyer -- and many others -- likely want nothing to do with the headaches that come from all the things that go into paying players, and we don't blame them one bit.

Baker Mayfield heaps more praise on former Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka

If you've been paying attention to things coming out of OTAs for the various NFL franchises, you must have picked up on the fact that former wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has been making a lot of fans down in Tampa. The Bucs already had one whale of a wide receiver room, but they decided to double down and take Egbuka with their first-round NFL draft pick to give quarterback Baker Mayfield another weapon through the air. So far, so good, according to Mayfield. The Tampa Bay quarterback has already said some flattering things about Egbuka when he first got a look at him, but now, the former Heisman winner turned NFL Pro Bowler has continued to heap praise on Ohio State's all-time leading receiver. Egbuka not only has the physical tools to be special, but he's got a high football IQ and is a model citizen on and off the field. According to Mayfield, the sky is the limit. 'Obviously, the physical tools…At this level, you have to have talent, and obviously, he has that, being a first-round draft pick, Mayfield said. "The thing that sticks out is how cerebral he is. He's so smart. Right now, I think we could plug-and-play him at every receiver spot – he understands the offense that well. That's just him being a pro already. He's not a rookie – he doesn't act like it at least.' That's impressive for a rookie who hasn't even taken his first snap in the NFL yet. Egbuka's work ethic is legendary, and we all know how he handled himself with the media and among his teammates. If there's a guy to keep an eye on this year that might surpass expectations, look no further than down in Tampa where Egbuka is making a case to see a lot of playing time.
