
Qatar-Iraq Joint Security Committee meets in Baghdad
The Qatari delegation was headed by Director of the Human Resources Department Maj Gen Khalifa Nasr Al Nasr, while the Iraqi side was led by Advisor to the Minister of Interior Lt Gen Ziyad Taha Ali.
The two sides discussed several items on the agenda and signed the minutes of the joint meeting.
The Ministry's delegation also met with Iraq's Minister of Interior HE General Abdul Amir Kamel Al Shammari, and visited a number of security departments under the Iraqi Ministry of Interior.

Qatar and Tajikistan hold political consultations
QNA Doha The fourth round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and Tajikistan was held in Doha on Tuesday. Interior minister reviews preparations for Arabian Gulf Security 4 exercise
Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani held a meeting with members of the Higher Committee for the Joint Security Exercise of the Security Agencies in the GCC countries, Arabian Gulf Security 4. During the meeting, the minister was briefed on the latest preparations and the timeline for the exercise, which is scheduled to be held in the State of Qatar early next year. (TNN)

Civil Defense Council holds extraordinary meeting to assess damage and compensate those affected by Iranian missile interception
In implementation of the high directives of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, an extraordinary meeting of the Civil Defense Council convened with the participation of representatives from relevant authorities. Chaired by H.E. Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who is also the Chairman of the Civil Defense Council, the extraordinary meeting was held to assess and evaluate the damages resulting from the interception of Iranian missiles and to compensate affected citizens and residents. In a statement released on 13 July 2025, the Ministry of Interior said that the Council reviewed the urgent measures previously taken and approved specific mechanisms that were immediately put into effect to ensure the prompt implementation of these high directives and contribute to addressing the impact of the incident.
