Bucks Pushing to Pair Former $120 Million Star With Giannis Antetokounmpo
It's been a whirlwind few weeks for the Milwaukee Bucks. After a surprise first-round playoff exit and parting ways with Damian Lillard, the team has been working behind the scenes to reshape its roster. The Bucks are now turning their attention to veteran point guard Chris Paul, a move that could bring much-needed experience and playmaking to their backcourt.

According to multiple reports from Shams Charania and Marc Stein, Paul had a conversation with Bucks officials on Wednesday as he weighs his options. The 40-year-old, once on a $120 million deal with the Suns, is now a free agent after spending last season with the Spurs.
While Paul has expressed a preference for staying close to his family on the West Coast, Milwaukee remains firmly in the mix alongside the Clippers and Suns.

Paul admitted on The Pat McAfee Show last month, that he's spent most of the last six seasons away from his wife and kids, saying, 'I want to hoop because I love to hoop. But, at the same time, I want to be dad.' Despite the personal challenge, the opportunity to play with Giannis Antetokounmpo and chase a ring might be too good to pass up.

Paul brings more than just name value. He played all 82 games last season, averaging 8.8 points and 7.4 assists while shooting efficiently. With Lillard out and the Bucks searching for direction, Paul could step in as a pass-first leader, feeding Giannis Antetokounmpo in pick-and-rolls and settling the offense.
The Bucks have a strong core with Antetokounmpo and the newly acquired Myles Turner. Adding Paul to that mix could be the spark they need to make another deep playoff run. It's now just a matter of whether the East Coast pull outweighs his West Coast heart.
