You can celebrate Halloween early in these 9 cities, starting next month
It may seem like we just celebrated spring's arrival, but for those in touch with the spooky side of things, the month of May represents the halfway point to Halloween. You may be one of those who want to set aside thoughts of flowers and grassy meadows in favor of thinking about coffins, ghosts, and screams in the night. US Ghost Adventures, a company that runs ghost tours and overnight stays at three different murder houses—including the Lizzie Borden House —is celebrating this halfway landmark with its Halfway 2 Halloween 'Spooktacular' events.
Each weekend from May 2 to 17, you can engage in special haunted celebrations in Alexandria, Virginia; Boston, Massachusetts; Charlotte, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Deadwood, South Dakota; Honolulu, Hawai'i; Orlando, Florida; Seattle, Washington; and St. Augustine, Florida. The Spooktacular events include enhanced ghost tours with storytelling, paranormal investigations and 'immersive encounters' with costumed guides.
The ghost tours are, of course, held after dark for maximum spookitude. At the haunted pub crawls, you'll enjoy a themed cocktail while listening to ghostly tales. You can participate in a live ghost (oxymoron alert!) investigation—and maybe this is the time that you get a message from the other side of the veil. Not only are the tour guides dressed up, but you are encouraged to dress up as well and make the night more entertaining. Halloween can't come soon enough!

Woman told she 'looks like Cole Palmer' now 'can't sleep at night'
A woman has shared her dismay after being compared to a famous English football player - but some YouTube viewers believe this isn't her only celebrity lookalike A woman has been having sleepless nights after being compared to English football player Cole Palmer. Emily, who is known as @emlyhartnett on social media, shared a clip of her copying Palmer's poses for publicity pictures - and people can't believe their likeness. On her TikTok video, she wrote: "Someone told me I look like Cole Palmer once and I haven't been able to sleep at night since." However, it seems she's able to see the funny side to their uncanny likeness, adding: "Call me the goat, I guess." Not only do they both have brown eyes, they also have a similar facial structure including their nose and mouth shape. Commenting on her video, one user said: "You look more like Cole Palmer than Cole Palmer." Another user added: "If it makes you feel any better, I really fancy Cole Palmer." A third user said: "Put on a Chelsea shirt and don't ask why." The now 23-year-old joined Chelsea from Manchester City on transfer deadline day in September 2023. He was awarded Player of the Season during his first year at Stamford Bridge and became a full England international, going on to score for his nation in the European Championship final versus Spain. More recently, Palmer started a new season with a two-year extension to his contract, taking him up to 2033. His stats show he has made 35 men's team appearances, played for 3,015 minutes, and made 15 goals, ranking him as number one in the team. Speaking about how fame has changed his life since joining Chelsea as an attacking midfielder or winger, Palmer said on Chelsea FC: "My life has changed massively. "I can't really go to certain places when I just want to chill. Like when you just go to the shop around the corner, you'll think someone's watching you. "Being able to play five-a-side is the thing I miss most, though, just being able to go and play five-a-side with your mates." However, one more user claims Cole Palmer isn't her only lookalike claiming she also resembles YouTuber Calfreezy. In agreement, one user said: "OMG, you're so true." Another added: "More accurate." Even Calfreezy's close friend Callux couldn't help but laugh at the comparison, simply commenting: "LMAO." A final user added: "It's like if Cole Palmer and Calfreezy had a kid." Calfreezy has even played into this likeness dressing up as Palmer on The Fellas Podcast for Halloween last year. Calfreezy, real name Callum Airey, owns The Fellas Studios alongside Joshua Larkin, known on YouTube as TheBurntChip. Founded in 2020, the two YouTubers accumulated more than 1.7 billion views in 2023 with their popular podcasts The Fellas, Saving Grace and Growing Paynes. The Range shoppers are livid at new range and ask 'what planet are you from'
The Range shoppers weren't impressed at all when they spotted a new range in store – as they complained shop employees must be living in a different world altogether The first Christmas decorations of 2025 have officially been spotted. When do you normally deck the halls with boughs of holly? Well, if you're not thinking about it six months before, according to The Range, you're doing it wrong. The retailer shared a post that has some members of the public up in arms. Taking to Facebook, employees shared a picture of shelves adorned with gingerbread men, candy canes, disco ball snow men, snow globes, baubles, and 'Santa's Workshop' signs. Despite the fact that summer is nowhere near over, and schools haven't even broken up for their main holiday, The Range shared that there are just "six months to go". As part of their post's caption, they wrote: "Eek! Sorry to say the 'C' word in June, but yes, Christmas is six months away. And you'll be pleased to know that our elves are preparing for the big day. Who's excited?!" The response in the comments was mixed, with some urging The Range to "just have a Christmas department all year round." However, others urged them to wait until wintertime. One livid shopper asked: "What planet are you people on?" Another said: "Give it a rest." And a third complained: "We haven't had summer yet". A fourth wrote: "It's only June, let the kids have summer before you start putting Christmas stuff on the shelves." Meanwhile, somebody else shared that kids have "got to go back to school in September". They added: "Then you'll still have Halloween before Chrimbo." Despite the backlash, some were thrilled at the prospect of making their home "like a grotto" as soon as possible. One customer defended The Range, writing: "Absolutely love how wound up people get about Christmas being 'too early,' like the shops are 'forcing' them to look, buy and put up Christmas decorations now." Another gushed: "Yes!!!!! Everyone is moaning it's too early, but I bet you don't complain when the summer stuff comes into the shops in February!" And a third remarked: "If you don't like Christmas and want to be a Grinch, then just stay out of the seasonal aisles. It's really not difficult." The Range has been contacted for comment. So what do you think, is it too early to start thinking about Christmas? Don't forget to leave us your thoughts in the comments section below.

Primark fans declare 'code orange' after spotting 'pretty' decor they 'need'
Shoppers say they 'cannot wait' to shop Primark's new themed decor that has fans 'so excited' Primark shoppers have declared "code orange" after spotting autumn-themed decor in-store. While many customers will still have summer on their minds, others can't wait to start shopping for the next season. One autumn lover who can't wait to stock up on cosy decor praised Primark's range in a recent TikTok. Posting on social media as @mariainesvv, UK-based blogger Maria Inês wrote: "Code orange at Primark!! I know it's still June but this makes me so excited." In her video, Maria showcased a selection of autumnal decor, including a pumpkin and vanilla cream candle and a pumpkin spice reed diffuser. The video went viral with over 80,000 views and 13,000 likes. It also prompted lots of excited comments from shoppers keen to shop the new range. A fan wrote: "I'm off to primark tomorrow and I cannot wait now!!!!!" A second shopper agreed: "I can't wait for autumn!!!" A third fan replied: "Off I go to Primark oh my goodness." A fourth said: "Primark for once this time take ALL my money." Someone wrote: "FINALLYYYYY." A different comment read: "It's all so pretty," and another viewer praised: "Okay this makes me excited for autumn!" Maria responded: "Me too it's so early but I already can't wait haha." Elsewhere, a shopper who had already stocked up on the range said: "I BOUGHT THE PUMPKIN SPICE VANILLA CANDLEEE IT SMELLS AMAZING." However, some viewers couldn't look past the date and suggested it's too early for autumnal decor. For instance, someone commented: "Pleaaase no, I just wanted to enjoy the summer without autumn decoration in every shop." Another viewer said: "It's only been summer for one day can we just wait with this, as much as I love it." A social media user replied: "Ummm no? AUTUMN ALL YEAR." A fellow fan agreed: "No cause it's called summerween." Whichever side of the debate you fall on, you can expect to find someone to back you up. The issue proved just as contentious when shoppers recently spotted Halloween decorations in TK Maxx. While lots of people were keen to start shopping and supported the idea, others had the opposite reaction. The divide in opinion was clear when Facebook Page Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK showed off the stocked shelves, filled with seasonal items such as ghost ornaments and skull decorations. The post said: "Halloween Home Ornaments are starting to arrive in store at TK Maxx already!" Reacting to the news, a perplexed social media user wrote: "No no NO ….. let's have summer first before we start seeing autumn things ….. jeeeez way too early!!" However, a different response read: "We need a shopping date! I need all of this," and a fan added: "It's everywhere tempting me already."
