The Royal Oman Police further said that the suspects contacted the victim posing as a woman through social media platforms. They then persuaded the victim to travel to Barka and kidnapping and detaining him in a deserted house and extorting money from him.
Legal procedures are currently underway to prosecute the suspects, the ROP further said.
