A TEENAGER who died after going missing at a popular Scots beauty spot has been named as Alexander McNab.
The 15-year-old's body was recovered from the water at Lochore Meadows, Fife, on Sunday afternoon — sparking an outpouring of grief from the tight-knit local community.

Emergency crews and police raced to the loch near Crosshill just after 1:20pm on June 29, after desperate searches for the youngster who vanished while paddleboarding the day before.
Cops confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragic death, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Heartbroken loved ones paid tribute to the 'bold, caring' lad, describing him as a shining light who touched everyone he met.
In a statement issued through Police Scotland, Alexander's devastated family asked for privacy as they try to come to terms with the unimaginable loss.
They said: 'Alexander was much loved, caring, adventurous, bold, hard-working, ambitious and always looking out and caring for others.
'He is a much-loved son, brother, grandson, cousin, friend and boyfriend and a big part of his local community.
'Alexander will be forever missed by those that knew him and loved him.
'The family would appreciate privacy at this emotional time.'
Detective Sergeant Duncan Thompson said: 'Our thoughts are very much with Alexander's family at this very distressing time and we have specialist officers supporting them.'
Police confirmed last night a 'male youth' had been found in the water after a rescue team hunt at Lochore Meadows Country Park.

EasyJet passenger arrested after shouting ‘Allahu Akbar' on flight

An easyJet passenger has been arrested after allegedly shouting 'Allahu Akbar' on a flight. Witnesses said the man claimed to have a bomb on the plane, which was flying from Luton to Glasgow on Sunday morning. Footage shows the man at the back of the aircraft, standing up and shouting: 'Stop the plane. 'Find the bomb on the plane. Death to America. Death to Trump.' He then allegedly shouted 'Allahu Akbar' three times, which means God is the greatest in Arabic. He was pinned down by three passengers, while air hostesses climbed on the seats to obtain the man's bags. Trump is currently on a four-day visit to Scotland. A 41-year-old man was detained at the scene and remains in custody, Police Scotland said. Officers who had been waiting on the tarmac handcuffed the man and removed him from the aircraft. A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Sun he woke at around 8am to hear the man coming out of the plane's lavatory shouting that he had a bomb. 'He literally came out of the toilet shouting 'Allahu Akbar' with his hands above his head,' he said. 'Then he said 'I've got a bomb, I've got a bomb' – at this point people were confused.' The 39-year-old added: 'He pushed the airline staff and was being aggressive towards them. He was a big guy, about six foot and they were these petite women. 'When he pushed them, that's when things changed.' The witness said an emergency landing took place after an announcement by the pilot before police swarmed on to make the arrest. 'The main copper said, 'Look, don't mess about or you'll go straight down,'' he added. 'By this point the guy had calmed down. He'd admitted he didn't have a bomb. He gave up.' 'Footage being assessed by counter terrorism officers' A Police Scotland spokesman said: 'We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July, 2025. 'Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing. 'At this time we believe the incident was contained and that nobody else was involved. 'We are aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counter terrorism officers.' An easyJet spokesman said: 'Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour onboard. 'EasyJet's crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time. 'The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority.'

Lucy Letby ‘acts like Queen Bee in jail' and ‘gets hair & nails done in salon with killer pal Sara Sharif's step-mum'

BABY killer nurse Lucy Letby acts like the "Queen Bee" in prison due to the level of privileges she's afforded - angering other prisoners, it is claimed. The 35-year-old is serving 15 life sentences after being convicted of murdering seven infants and attempting to murder seven more at the Countess of Chester Hospital. 5 5 5 Letby is reported to have struck up a bizarre friendship with Beinash Batool, who murdered her 10-year-old stepdaughter Sara Sharif. The ex-neo natal nurse is said to be chaperoned by prison guards wherever she goes, and special areas have to be cleared whenever she wants to visit - due to the high risk of her being attacked by fellow lags. The Sun reported last week how the evil pair play card game Uno for hours in their cushy jail unit after being given 'enhanced' privileges at HMP Bronzefield, Surrey. They also have "a lot of freedom" and can buy foods that others can't - often in the kitchen making cheese toasties together. Letby allegedly moans she's the "fattest I've ever been" due to her diet of junk food, including chocolate. Sources have since told The Mirror other female murderers in Houseblock Four are fed up with Letby and Batool - who is serving 33 years - getting special treatment. They say the government's Incentives and Earned Privileges Scheme, which is designed to encourage good behaviour among prisoners, is being used by Letby who manipulates prison officers to get what she wants. The source said: "She turns on the tears at the drop of a hat, she gets all her visits in the family room which is really lovely even though she doesn't have children, it's meant to be for children and they've made it really nice. Her parents come to see her," our source said. "She walks around like she's Queen Bee, she stops other enhanced prisoners going to the library because she says 'I'm scared, I'm scared, I don't know what they'll do to me' but what about other people who are enhanced and want to use that library, they can't. "When she and Beinash go to the salon, the whole salon has to be shut down, because they are scared that other prisoners will attack them and obviously there are scissors and stuff there." The source said the pair go to the salon "at least once a month" and Letby is "always getting" her hair and nails done, adding the wing is "like an upside down world". Lucy Letby cops arrest 3 senior members of leadership team at hospital where killer nurse murdered 7 babies Letby and Batool, 31, have also reportedly been awarded "positive behaviour comments" by prison officers as part of the IEP scheme. This means they get extra perks like visiting the prison staff restaurant, called Vita Nova, which has two qualified chefs, and inmates can be trained barista and knife skills, it's claimed. And when Letby attends the likes of the salon or Vita Nova, it is closed to others to protect her, but she chooses to take Batool as her plus one guest, according to reports. One prisoner told The Mirror, there is "so much hatred for her" because she's "treated like she's Queen Bee". As reported by The Sun previously, the killer nurse works three different prison jobs and blows her wages on sweets and crisps. Letby has jobs as a laundry worker, earning £8 a week, a kitchen worker - another £8 a week - and a library worker. Lag sources say she's put on so much weight "you wouldn't recognise her". Unit 4 of 527-inmate Bronzefield, which is run by private firm Sodexo. Letby and Batool both have TVs with Freeview channels and a DVD player, along with books and films, which they can order from the library. Others on the unit include Sian Hedges, jailed for life in 2024 for killing 18-month-old son Alfie Phillips. Shamed prison officer Linda de Sousa Abreu, who romped with a lag, was also held there until her release last month. Letby — convicted of the murders of seven babies and attempted murders of seven more while a neonatal nurse — has regular legal meetings as she plans her appeal. Batool was sentenced last December for the murder of her tortured stepdaughter. Sara's dad, Urfan Sharif, is serving at least 40 years for murder after she was beaten to death at the couple's home in Woking, Surrey. 5 5

Man arrested at Scots airport after 'holding sign calling Trump offensive word'

Police Scotland said the man was arrested 'for abusive behaviour and refusing to stop' and issued with a recorded police warning. A man was arrested at Prestwick Airport for allegedly carrying a placard calling Donald Trump an offensive word. ‌ The man, aged 20, was arrested on Friday next to the military airport in Ayrshire where Air Force One landed. ‌ Police Scotland said the man was arrested 'for abusive behaviour and refusing to stop' and issued with a recorded police warning. ‌ A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'A 20-year-old man was arrested next to Prestwick Airport on Friday for abusive behaviour and refusing to stop. 'He was given a Recorded Police Warning.' Meanwhile, a 'festival of resistance' is set to be held near Donald Trump's Aberdeenshire golf course ahead of meetings with political leaders on Monday. The protest at The White Horse Inn, Balmedie, Aberdeen, is close to the Trump International Scotland golf resort and organisers said they object to it receiving £180,000 of public funding for the Nexo Championship next month. Organiser of Stop Trump Scotland, Alena Ivanova, said: 'As Donald Trump is expected to arrive at his Aberdeenshire golf course, residents and protesters are gathering in Balmedie from 3pm to continue the festival of resistance. ‌ 'This message is to Donald Trump but also our elected leaders preparing to meet him: there is no place for Trumpism in Scotland. 'They need to stand up to him instead of kowtowing to this bully – including by handing over hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayer money for a golf tournament hosted at Trump International even while he attempts to bully us with tariffs. 'In the vicinity of the golf course people will be making noise and using creative props to bring the message as close to home as possible – Donald Trump is not welcome here.'
