M5 shut at Oldbury in two separate police incidents

Two sections of the M5 have been shut in the West Midlands in police incidents.West Midlands Police said it had been closed southbound between junction three, for Quinton, and junction two for Oldbury after a body was found on the motorway just after 10:00 BST. A separate crash nearby involving a motorcyclist has also seen the northbound carriageway close between junction one in West Bromwich and the M6 link.National Highways said diversions were in place, but there were currently delays of 50 mins between junctions four and three.
West Midlands Police said the closure was likely to remain in place for some time.

A man died and three people were hurt and taken to hospital in a crash involving three vehicles in Midlands Police said they were called to the crash on Stratford Road, at its junction with Ladypool Road, just before 23:50 BST on Friday.A 22-year-old man, who was the driver of a Vauxhall which was one of the three vehicles, was taken to hospital but later died, a spokesperson for the force other two vehicles involved were an Audi and a parked vehicle. Two seriously hurt after taxi and car crash at 3am in Birmingham

Three men have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a taxi and a car in services were called to Icknield Street, at its junction with Hingeston Street, Soho, shortly after 03:00 BST on Midlands Police said a man driving a Peugeot taxi and a man from a Volkswagen Golf were taken to hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.A second man from the Volkswagen Golf was also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries.
