He continues on before saying "You can hold the hand of somebody that you love because (with) what happens next to you, you're going to need to remember that feeling." RecipeTin Eats founder responds to mushroom verdict after recipe used by killer

On Monday, a jury found Patterson guilty of murdering her in-laws Don and Gail Patterson and Heather Wilkinson and attempting to murder Wilkinson's husband Ian after a marathon Supreme Court trial in regional Victoria . The 50-year-old had pleaded not guilty to all charges and has 28 days to lodge an appeal from her sentencing. Nagi Maehashi is behind the RecipeTin Eats platform and cookbooks. (James Brickwood) With strong media interest in the case, the RecipeTin Eats founder requested journalists to "please stop calling and emailing and texting and DM-ing me about the Erin Patterson case". "It is of course upsetting to learn that one of my recipes, possibly the one I've spent more hours perfecting that any other, something I created to bring joy and happiness, is entangled in a tragic situation," Maehashi said in an Instagram post yesterday. "Other than that, I have nothing to say and I won't be talking to anyone. The RecipeTin Eats founder requested journalists respect her privacy. Patterson said during the trial she made multiple changes to the RecipeTin Eats recipe, which she used to prepare the beef Wellington lunch in July 2023. This included buying 10 beef tenderloin steaks to make individual parcels after being unable to find a log of beef, swapping in filo pastry instead of making a crepe and omitting mustard and prosciutto because Ian didn't eat pork. The court heard Don and Gail Patterson and Heather and Ian Wilkinson became ill after consuming poisonous death cap mushrooms included in the meal. The Pattersons and Heather Wilkinson died, while Ian recovered after a lengthy stay in hospital. Maehashi also made headlines earlier this year when she accused high-profile online baker Brooke Bellamy of plagiarising two of her recipes. Bellamy, behind the Bake with Brooki account and cookbook, denied the allegation. national Australia Victoria Melbourne courts Erin Patterson crime CONTACT US Auto news: Tesla global sales continue year-on-year decline.

'For all those who loved Julian': McMahon family share tribute after Australian actor's shock death at 56 following secret cancer battle

Julian McMahon's family have spoken publicly for the first time since the beloved Australian actor's death at age 56. The Sydney-born actor passed away on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida, following a private battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. The only son of former Prime Minister Sir William McMahon, Julian is survived by his wife of 11 years, author and meditation teacher Kelly McMahon (née Paniagua), and his 25-year-old daughter Madison (Maddy) McMahon, whom he shared with ex-wife, model and actress Brooke Burns. He also leaves behind his sisters, Melinda and Debbie. Kelly was the first to announce his death, telling Deadline on July 4: "With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. "Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. "His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible... And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories." On Tuesday, McMahon's family posted a black and white photo of him smiling to his official Instagram account, set to Van Morrison's 'Sometimes We Cry'. "Julian loved @vanmorrisonofficial. For all of those who loved Julian, thank you," the caption read. The image was reshared by Madison on her Instagram Stories, while Broke posted a throwback photo of Julian with their daughter, alongside a heartbreak emoji and the words: "Rest in Peace". McMahon began his career as a model before landing his first major acting role in 1989 on Aussie daytime soap The Power, The Passion. He made his feature film debut in the 1992 Australian-American comedy Wet and Wild Summer! before moving to Hollywood, where he built an impressive screen career. He became a household name thanks to iconic roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck and CBS drama FBI: Most Wanted. On the big screen, McMahon is best known for playing Marvel villain Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and its 2007 sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer. His other film credits include Premonition, RED, Paranoia, You're Not You, Swinging Safari, and, most recently, Australian film The Surfer opposite Nicolas Cage. Cage paid tribute to his co-star in a statement to Deadline, saying: "I spent six weeks working with Julian, and he was the most talented of actors. "Our scenes together on The Surfer were amongst my favourites I have ever participated in, and Julian is one of my favourite people. "He was a kind and intelligent man. My love to his family." McMahon's final role was in the Netflix murder mystery series The Residence, in which he fittingly played the Australian Prime Minister. Before his marriages to Brooke and Kelly, McMahon was briefly married to Australian singer Dannii Minogue from 1994 to 1995. In a twist of timing, Minogue gave a rare interview about their relationship just weeks before his death. Appearing on the How To Fail podcast with Elizabeth Day on May 28, Minogue reflected on their split after just one year of marriage. "Now I don't think (the marriage) was a failure, but at the time that it ended, my world was very dark and bleak," she admitted. "Love sweeps you off your feet and it is an incredible feeling, and I really got swept away and did not see what it actually was. "...His (Julian's) father was a prime minister, but I knew him as an actor on Home and Away," Minogue added. "I didn't meet him in that world. I wasn't exposed to that world – I'm still not. It's not my place. I had no intention of hanging out in that world." Minogue has not yet publicly commented on McMahon's death.

Jennifer Aniston and hypnotist love interest Jim Curtis seen getting cozy in Big Sur a month before Mallorca vacation

Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis got cozy in California weeks before their Spain getaway. A Page Six spy spotted the actress, 56, and the hypnotist at the Ventana Big Sur luxury hotel last month. The 'Friends' alum cuddled up to her rumored new beau while dining at the resort's restaurant in June. Aniston's rep has yet to respond to Page Six's request for comment. This weekend, the pair spent more time together in Mallorca with the 'Morning Show' star's pal Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka. While Curtis' relationship history is not known, Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux. Aniston introduced Curtis to her friends in photos obtained by the Daily Mail, and the foursome partied on a yacht later that evening. The Emmy winner, notably, is one of the self-proclaimed coach's half a million followers on Instagram, and she regularly 'likes' his uploads. The 'Cake' star also featured Curtis' book 'Shift Quantum Manifestation Guide: A Workbook for Coding a New Consciousness' in a May slideshow. The Golden Globe winner has remained amicable with her exes, famously hugging Pitt, 61, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2020. She and Theroux, 53, even text and FaceTime each other, the 'Leftovers' alum told Esquire in 2021. 'We don't talk every day,' the filmmaker, who recently wed actress Nicole Brydon Bloom, clarified at the time. 'It would be a loss if we weren't in contact, for me personally. And I'd like to think the same for her.' The exes were photographed reuniting for dinner in 2023 — and Theroux has publicly supported Aniston on multiple occasions over the years, from her fertility struggles reveal to her heated back-and-forth with JD Vance over 'childless cat ladies.' Since their split, Aniston has not gone public with any romances until Curtis. While she did send tongues wagging in March for going out to eat with Pedro Pascal, a source insisted to Page Six that their bond is 'strictly platonic.'
