Dilip Joshi to quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah? Asit Modi opens up his exit rumours, says 'These days...'
According to Modi, the actor had 'personal commitments,' which is why he wasn't seen in a few episodes. 'But that doesn't mean he's quit the show,' Modi told ETimes . 'It's not always possible for the story to revolve around just one character. People start assuming things, but I stay focused on the storyline and ignore these rumours.'
The rumours began when viewers noticed that both Jethalal and Babita Ji (played by Munmun Dutta) were missing from the ongoing 'Bhootni' vacation plot. The rest of the Gokuldham Society—including Taarak Mehta, Anjali, Popatlal, Bapu Ji, and Sodhi—were part of the haunted bungalow episodes, sparking fan concern about the duo's absence.
This isn't the first time Modi has had to address such talk. He previously told Money Control , 'Social media these days has become so negative. Taarak Mehta is a positive, family show that spreads happiness. It's not right to spread rumours over small things.'
He urged people to be more mindful of the messages they share and remember the intent of the show. 'Some people should think positively about it. Saying anything inappropriate isn't a good thing.' Everyone is still a part of the team
Modi also confirmed that both Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta remain very much part of the TMKOC cast. 'Lekin kuch nahi hai, sab log hamari team ka part hai… They were not present at that time due to some personal reasons. So, there's no such issue.'

Recently, she was also in the news for replacing Deepika Padukone in Vanga's Spirit opposite Prabhas. She is gearing up for the release of Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi, and it was during the promotions that she spoke about her Bad Newz co-star Vicky Kaushal. What's Happening Triptii Dimri revealed the one thing she would love to learn from Vicky Kaushal as an actor. She told ETimes, "He's a very, very sweet and a very talented guy - and very humble. I think I'm very, very patient. I think that patience I want to learn from him." Furthermore, she added, "He can work for 24 hours without saying a word. He's just too good. And I think I asked him one day, How do you go on and on without any complaints?" "He's like, 'This is what I always wanted in life.' And that gave me an answer to so many things. That patience, I think, I would want," concluded the Animal actress. The doctor later shocks everyone by declaring it a 'once-in-a-lifetime' occurrence and reveals that both Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk are the fathers of Triptii's unborn child. About Dhadak 2 Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is helmed by director Shazia Iqbal.
