Walmart is selling a 'luxurious' and 'soft' $63 queen sheet set for just $20

Yahoo23-04-2025
I have a new thing. I sleep hot and have to keep a fan blowing on me at night, which I know can't be good for my health. It seems my days of needing cooling bed sheets have officially begun (ladies, I think you know what I mean), which is what led me to the Nestl Bed Sheets at Walmart — they're not only sweat-wicking, but also obscenely soft and comfortable. Like, to the point where you ask yourself, "Why is this four-piece sheet set only $20?" While the bestseller usually retails for $63, it's currently on sale for nearly 70% off as part of the retailer's Flash Deals section — special markdowns which only last a few days.
It's rare to find a set of sheets so luxurious for $20, like virtually impossible. Then, when you factor in the fact that these sheets keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, you have bedding that's in season year-round. Plus, they have a high-end aesthetic, which typically costs a premium.
When I dug into this incredible deal further, I realized these sheets have so much going for them. Yes, the decadent softness is their claim to fame. And the sweat-wicking is a nice bonus. But these sheets also have the ability to repel wrinkles and pet hair — two of the banes of my existence — so they come out of the washing machine flawless. And they fit extra deep mattresses like mine. If you have a pillow top mattress or use a mattress pad, the sizing of these snuggly sheets also works perfectly. And speaking of snug, the fitted sheet is made with secure elastic, so it hugs your mattress without riding up or shifting around. They thought of everything.
Even the look of Nestl Bed Sheets is posh. The pillowcases have a decorative, stitched hem that gives a five-star hotel feel. And they come in 48 colors, many of which are neutrals like ivory, linen, grey, gold and silver that have an intrinsic elegance to them. I've upgraded my bedding to all shades of off-white, and it feels like quiet luxury. But if you love a more vivid hue, Nestl sheets come in a range of both bold and soothing blues, reds, purples, and yellows, too.
Plus, Nestl sheets come in nine mattress sizes, including standard ones like queen and king and less common ones like split king and California king. And yes, all the sizes are on sale. A deal on a fan favorite like this is rare — and a discount this big, even more so. I mean, a queen-sized set costs as much as a large pizza...and lasts a lot longer!
Walmart shoppers have the final word, as always, and so I pored over more than 16,000 five-star reviews to see what so many folks love about these bedroom must-haves.
"The sheets are super soft, and they are cool, which is a big deal for my hot-natured husband," one fan wrote of the comfort factor. And they were in the majority.
"Best night sleep I've had in a long time," another shopper raved, calling the sheets "very soft and comfortable like a soft T-shirt. ... this is definitely a five-star."
Another said, "Showed them to my daughter and she was in awe of how soft they were. My husband was jealous — he just spent $200 for a set of high-count Egyptian cotton sheets and they are not nearly as soft as mine!"
As for the fit, one customer said there was "absolutely no pilling," and that the sheets "fit over thick mattresses and additional [mattress] pads." And yes, that would include pillowtop mattresses, too.
"The only brand that doesn't slip off at the corners," another reviewer wrote. "I was impressed with my first time purchase that I ordered more."
As for the quality, customers have called it "excellent," "exceptional," "luxurious," "amazing" and "outstanding," among many other exalted adjectives. "The fabric quality and workmanship were very nice," wrote one informed customer, who added, "I am a seamstress and very choosy about fabric and stitching."
"There was no shrinkage or discoloration after being washed," another reviewer wrote, while others commented that there were no wrinkles, fuzz or pet hair.
Some customers find that the sheets aren't quite thick enough. "A little thinner than I like my sheets to be, but they sleep well," one wrote.
"These blue bed linens are impressive at first glance," added another. "The rich color and workmanship make a good first impression. But, when I feel the fabric, it feels surprisingly thin and light — thinner and lighter than my other bed linens."
The reviews quoted above reflect the most recent versions at the time of publication.

Best Pistachio Butters: Walmart Vs. Premium Spread

Pistachio butter is having its moment in the culinary spotlight. It's rich, nutty, and has been popping up everywhere lately, from gourmet grocery stores to TikTok. I'm a devout pistachio fan, but some of the jars I've seen online go for $15 or more, which feels a little wild for something I'm spreading on my morning toast. So, I was curious when I spotted Bettergoods Pistachio Butter at Walmart for around $6. It's part of their new private label line aimed at trendier, premium-style ingredients but with budget-friendly prices. To see how it stacks up, I tried it side by side with a jar of Il Colle Del Gusto Pistachio Spread, which goes for close to $17. I tasted both straight from the spoon and on a mini croissant from Trader Joe's. While they're both pistachio-forward, they turned out to be totally different in style, which surprised me more than I expected. Here's a quick ingredient breakdown for each pistachio butter:Walmart — pistachio, sugar, vegetable oils and fats (sunflower oil, coconut fat, cocoa fat), nonfat dry milk, whey, sunflower lecithin, extra virgin olive oil, natural and artificial flavoringIl Colle Del Gusto — Sicilian pistachios, sugar, extra virgin olive oil, rice flour, sunflower lecithin as emulsifier First up: Walmart Bettergoods Pistachio Butter Price: Around $5 (check your local store)Size: 6.7 ounces The texture instantly stood out. It's fluffy and semi-whipped, almost like pistachio frosting. It spreads beautifully, holds its shape, and could easily go in a piping bag. (Think: soft holiday sugar cookies à la Lofthouse style.) It would also be delightful to spread on top of brownies, too. Flavor-wise, it's on the sweeter side (there are 16 grams of sugar per 34-gram serving), and there's a faint aftertaste that feels a little artificial. The ingredients list confirms it includes artificial flavoring, which makes it seem less 'pure' than the others. It's still tasty, it just doesn't necessarily scream 'pure pistachio.' But if you're into dessert-y spreads and don't mind the artificial add-ins, this one delivers as a playful, budget-friendly option. Here are my final thoughts: Want to cook recipes in step-by-step mode right from your phone? Download the free Tasty app right now. Next up: Il Colle Del Gusto Pistachio Spread Price: Around $17Size: 8.1 ounces Il Colle Del Gusto is on the other end of the texture spectrum. It has a visible layer of extra-virgin olive oil on top when you first open the jar, so a good stir is required. Once mixed, though, it becomes smooth and drizzly, much more like a traditional nut butter. The flavor is richer and more pistachio-forward, a bit less sweet (this one has 38 grams of sugar per 100-gram serving, so less than Walmart's) and more roasty and earthy. It felt closer to what I'd expect if I ground up pistachios myself. It's not a candidate for piping, and it might run off your toast if you're not careful, but I could see it working really well in smoothies or drizzled over gelato. One review said they used it as a cheesecake glaze, and another said they blend it into their espresso, both of which sound sublime. Here are my final thoughts: So, which pistachio butter is the winner? Honestly, it depends on what you're using it for. Want something spreadable for holiday baking or dessert-style snacking? Walmart's Bettergoods version is the way to go. The whipped texture is playful, though I could do without the overly sweet flavor and subtle artificial aftertaste. If you're after a pure, more pistachio-forward bite, I'd lean toward the Il Colle Del Gusto Pistachio Spread jar, even if it takes some extra stirring to get there. That said, both versions contain a bit more added sugar than I'd prefer, and as a big pistachio fan, I'm still holding out for a jar that lets the natural flavor of the nut really shine. If you're not quite as nutty for pistachios as I am, you'll probably enjoy either one (and might even prefer the sweeter, more budget-friendly option). At this point, the next logical step feels like making my own homemade batch for a comparison. Have you tried making your own? If you have any tips, send 'em my way before I dive in! Economic Anxiety Leads More Consumers to Embrace ‘Christmas in July'

Tucked deep inside Catherine Spruill's bedroom closet sit two plastic bins beneath a mountain of clothes. One holds emergency gift cards. The other Christmas presents. She has been stockpiling gifts for the December holidays since June, hunting for summer sales across big-box retailers in her hometown, Stratford, Conn., stretching her income across two children, extended family and a long list of friends. Ms. Spruill, 34, has already picked up more than 25 toys and video games for around $350. Her best find so far: matching holiday pajama sets for herself and two sons, ages 13 and 3 — all for $28, thanks to a 50-percent-off sale at Kohl's. Black Friday no longer marks the beginning of the holiday retail season, as a growing number of shoppers and retailers are embracing what's being called 'Christmas in July.' 'These are the best weeks to do Christmas shopping because you're going to get more bang for your buck,' said Ms. Spruill, who is a home health aide. 'Stores are trying to get rid of stuff to the point they're handing it to you.' Ms. Spruill has been doing her holiday shopping months in advance since 2020, when she watched a coupon clipper on YouTube rave about using July clearance sales for holiday shopping. That same summer, she scored a bicycle on sale for $48 at Walmart, marked down from around $120. Over the past five years, Ms. Spruill said, she has saved thousands using this strategy.
