The new Disney+ series "Underdogs," narrated by " Deadpool " actor Reynolds, takes a refreshing step back, opting to shine a light on the lesser-known and often quirky creatures of the animal kingdom. Step aside, Sir David Attenborough , because Ryan Reynolds is taking over. The five-part series from National Geographic celebrates the unsung heroes that are often left out of traditional nature documentaries and showcases their unique abilities, habits, "terrible parenting" strategies and at times, the downright gross aspects of the animal world. The first episode homes in on a set of animals Reynold's dubs the "Superzeros", a group of creatures from around the world with unique and fascinating "superpowers" that help them survive in the wild. Reynolds kicks off the global journey with the velvet worm, which launches a special adhesive at predators to trap them in their place. From there, viewers will get to learn about the nearly indestructible honey badger, the elusive glass frog, the echolocating Madagascar lemur, the unstoppable snapping pistol shrimp, the limb regenerating axolotl and the dopamine-inducing jewel wasp. Other episodes are aptly subtitled "Total Grossout", "The Unusual Suspects", "Sexy Beasts" and "Terrible Parenting", each with wildlife that fits the profile. While the animals are all-around fascinating to learn about, it is Reynolds's signature wit and humour that's a major draw.

The beauty queen was asked what keeps her grounded as a village girl since her career is evolving and growing, and she shared that being connected to her Xhosa roots is what helps her. 'Grounding is a very easy thing for me. I think we mentioned the village, which is a huge part of who I am. 'It's just principles that I have been brought up with, and I have an incredible family who reminds me all the time where I come from and to always be grounded and humble in that sense,' Tunzi said. She added that going home all the time in the Eastern Cape and being connected to her roots is an important aspect for her that keeps her grounded. Tunzi tied the knot to her childhood best friend, Luthando Bolwana, in a lavish private ceremony in March. She dazzled in an elegant off-the-shoulder gown, intricately adorned with 3D embroidery, a creation by Vietnamese fashion designer Phan Huy. Tunzi revealed for the first time in public how life has been since she exchanged nuptials with Bolwana in Cape Town. 'Oh, it's been so wonderful. I mean, it's been five seconds of being a wife, but it has been absolutely amazing. And once again, it's another personal journey. And being able to do it with someone who has been my best friend for so many, many years. 'And now we're in this chapter of our lives that we get to share together, and we get to build. It's just been so beautiful, and I've been so happy to receive all the love, you know, from South Africa as well, who have always supported me with everything that I do,' the 31-year-old revealed excitedly. 'Superman' returns to screens with 'kindness, flying dogs and space battles'
Superman offers the first look at director James Gunn's vision for the remake of the DC Universe (DCU) at Warner Bros . The Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker, who also wrote the Superman screenplay, said he wanted to combine elements from the comic books and the mythos of Superman in cinema. 'My 'Superman' is about, you know, in a world where there's so much meanness and so many petty things happening, Superman, who can often be seen as old-fashioned or too earnest, too kind, he is those things. I think that's the most rebellious thing that you can be in this day and age,' Gunn said. 'It's a movie about kindness. But it's all told in this universe with giant monsters and flying dogs and robots and space battles and everything else.' The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress Rachel Brosnahan takes on the role of Lois Lane and Nosferatu, About a Boy and X-Men franchise actor Nicholas Hoult stars as Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor. Hoult also drew inspiration from comic books for his portrayal of the iconic villain. 'For instance, reading 'All-Star Superman', Lex really prides himself on being the peak alpha human, and so I really wanted to bring that kind of energy,' Hoult said. Brosnahan said her predecessors in the role had set the bar high. Gunn's vision for the movie was what set it aside from previous films, she said. 'I think James's knowledge of and love for these characters and the different adventures that he's taking them on with the different friends he's taking them with, kind of inherently brings it into present day,' said Brosnahan.
