Chris Martin's Ex Gwyneth Paltrow Is Astronomer's ‘Temporary Spokesperson' Amid Coldplay Scandal
Astronomer has enlisted the help of Gwyneth Paltrow for a new promotional video in the wake of the Coldplay cheating scandal. The new video, posted by Astronomer via its official X page on Friday, July 25 features Paltrow as the company's 'Temporary Spokesperson.' Paltrow, who is the ex-wife of Coldplay frontman , introduced her role for the company while speaking to the camera. 'Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow. I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300+ employees at Astronomer,' Paltrow, 52, said. 'Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.' Ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot Show PDA in Newly Resurfaced Video From Coldplay Concert The footage then cuts to the first 'question,' which reads, 'OMG what the actual F?' Paltrow does not directly answer this question or address the viral scandal, which saw the company's CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot step down after they were captured on a Kiss Cam getting cozy despite both reportedly being married to other people. Instead, Paltrow responds with information about Astronomer's business. 'Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run a patchy airflow, unifying the experience of running data ML and AI pipelines at scale. We've been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in date workflow automation,' she said, before moving on to the next 'question.' The words 'How is your social team holding…' began to be written on screen before abruptly being cut off and switching back to Paltrow. 'Yes! There is still room available at our Beyond Analytics Event in September. We will now be returning to what we do best: Delivering game-changing results for our customers,' Paltrow said, before concluding, 'Thank you for your interest in Astromoner.' Astronomer executives Cabot and Byron made headlines when they attended Coldplay's concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on July 16. During the performance, Martin introduced the Kiss Cam and turned it on to the crowd, focusing on Cabot and Byron embracing while watching the show. New Astronomer CEO Releases Statement After Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal As soon as they realized they were being blasted on the big screen, the pair was immediately evasive. Cabot attempted to shield her face while Byron tried to dodge the cameras by ducking down out of shot. 'Whoa, look at these two. All right, come on. You're OK,' Martin, 48, said. 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy. I'm not quite sure what to do.' He added, 'Holy s***.I hope we didn't do something bad.' In the wake of the scandal, Astronomer confirmed that both Byron and Cabot have tendered their resignations from the company. Solve the daily Crossword

Marvel returns to form as ‘Fantastic Four' soars to $118 million at the box office
It was clobberin' time this weekend, as Marvel's 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' nabbed the top spot at the box office with a performance that returned the Walt Disney Co.-owned superhero franchise to form. The movie hauled in $118 million in the U.S. and Canada and grossed $218 globally in its opening weekend. The film, which stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn, is just the latest remake of the comic book property, though the first under Walt Disney Co.'s ownership. Formerly owned by 21st Century Fox, 'The Fantastic Four' is one of several key intellectual properties now under the umbrella of the House of Mouse after its $71.3 billion acquisition of that studio's entertainment assets in 2019. Disney has already capitalized on its ownership of the 'Deadpool' and 'X-Men' properties — its 2024 film, 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' garnered more than $1 billion in global box office revenue. Fox produced and released three 'Fantastic Four' movies, none of which were well-received by audiences or critics. A 2015 reboot was particularly reviled. Quality was not an issue this time. The movie notched a 88% approval rating on aggregator Rotten Tomatoes and an 'A-' grade from audience polling firm CinemaScore. The movie exceeded pre-release estimates. 'First Steps' was expected to gross $100 million to $110 million in its debut weekend, on a reported budget of about $200 million. The theatrical reception for 'The Fantastic Four' is a relief for Disney and Marvel, which has struggled in recent years to reap the box office earnings it once did with its superhero films. The Anthony Mackie-led 'Captain America: Brave New World' received middling reviews from critics and brought in about $415 million in global box office revenue. Ensemble movie 'Thunderbolts*' received strong reviews, but made only $382 million worldwide. Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger said earlier this year that the company 'lost a little focus' in its zeal to produce more shows and movies for the Disney+ streaming platform, acknowledging that 'quantity does not necessarily beget quality.' 'By consolidating a bit and having Marvel focus much more on their films, we believe it will result in better quality,' he said during an earnings call with analysts in May. Anticipation was high for 'The Fantastic Four,' and Disney went all out with the marketing. The company hired a skywriter to craft encircled 4's in the sky near downtown Los Angeles on the day of the premiere and featured a drone show outside the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion after the showing. 'While Marvel films have settled into a fairly predictable core audience after multiple under-cooked films and streaming series in the post-'Avengers: Endgame' era, the brand remains sturdy when the right film comes along,' Shawn Robbins, director of movie analytics at Fandango and founder of site Box Office Theory, wrote in a weekend theatrical forecast published Wednesday. Warner Bros.' DC Studios' 'Superman' came in second at the box office this weekend with a domestic total of $24.9 million for a worldwide gross so far of $503 million.

Spice Girl Melanie C stuns on romantic island getaway with Australian model boyfriend
Spice Girl Melanie C – aka Sporty Spice – looks as fit as ever in these candid new vacation photos. The 90s pop legend, 51, escaped to the island of Mallorca for a romantic getaway with her partner, Australian actor and model Chris Dingwall. Advertisement The loved-up pair each shared a carousel of photos from the vacation on Instagram, with Melanie looking absolutely ripped in a tiny two-piece black bikini – and in another snap, relaxing on a boat while reading a book about the history of ecstasy use in dance music. 4 Spice Girl Melanie C shared photos from her romantic vacation with model Chris Dingwall. @melaniecmusic / Instagram Fans and friends were full of praise for the star in the comments section. 'Seeing Melanie look this healthy and happy melts my heart,' one longtime fan wrote. Advertisement 'Gorgeous to see you so happy and relaxed,' wrote UK broadcaster Kate Thornton. 'You're both so cute together. Love seeing you enjoying moments of love,' another fan gushed. 4 The pop singer captioned her Instagram carousel 'a slice of paradise.' @melaniecmusic / Instagram Dingwall is originally from Sydney but travels the world as a model signed to Ford Models and Chadwick. Advertisement The pair went public at Wimbledon in London last July, days after they were spotted walking hand-in-hand at the iconic Glastonbury festival. But they had been quietly dating for months before that: Melanie's frequent visits to our shores earlier in 2024, ostensibly for DJing gigs, also doubled as quality time with Dingwall as the pair shared romantic getaways in resorts across Brisbane, Byron Bay and the Whitsundays. 4 The 90s pop icon showed off her toned body in the photos. @melaniecmusic / Instagram Since those early days the pair have become more open about their relationship, with Melanie C even professing her 'love' for Dingwall on social media in January after he wished her a happy 51st birthday. Advertisement Furthering her Aussie connection, Melanie C will soon appear as one of the celeb coaches on the next season of Seven's music contest The Voice alongside Ronan Keating, Richard Marx and Kate Miller-Heidke. She was based in Bondi while she lived here to film the season, and also made a surprise appearance at a Sydney gay club in April, filming scenes for a new music video. 4 The couple first went public in July 2024. @melaniecmusic / Instagram Melanie C is undoubtedly the most private of the five Spice Girls when it comes to her love life, largely keeping her relationships out of the public eye since a string of romances with high-profile musicians. She has a teenage daughter from a longtime relationship with ex-partner Thomas Starr. The pair split in 2012 after a decade together. After that, Melanie dated her manager, Joe Marshall, for seven years before they split in 2022.
