Caitlin Clark just can't seem to shake off the injury bug this season.
During Tuesday night's game between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun, the former No. 1 pick from Iowa suffered a groin injury in the fourth quarter. Head coach Stephanie White confirmed that Clark is dealing with another injury following the team's 85-77 victory. She said Clark will be evaluated and the team will "see what happens from there."
After the Fever-Sun game went final, Clark's younger brother Colin offered his thoughts on her latest injury. He believes the WNBA's officials are responsible for her groin injury.
"Make no mistake, this is on the reffing," Colin Clark wrote in a recently-deleted post on X.
An argument can be made that opposing teams are allowed to play a really physical brand of basketball against Clark. Could that be leading to her injuries? Maybe, but there's no real way to prove it.
The Fever's coaching staff talked about the physical play Clark deals with on a nightly basis.
"There's a level of physicality that they're able to play with against her," White said of Clark. "I'm not exactly sure why, but it just is what it is, and we've got to help her learn to adjust and use it against them in certain ways. We've got to find some ways to make it a little bit easier for her. But the level of physicality overall in our league has been at a different level than it's been for a long time."

Suárez would require a strong return going back to Arizona, and a third baseman is not on the main priority list for the Phillies.
