'When you ask 'could he have got up?' We don't know what was going through his mind.
'Usually when you are on a knee and you are looking up like that, you have a decision to get up and go on, or not.
'It's a big decision and you have to make it within the count. And I don't think he made that decision within the count.'

'For me, I used to tell my team to throw everybody out of the dressing room and not let anybody bother me.
'Officials and other people would be coming to see me or to get my autograph and they would be told 'no, not until he wakes up'.
'Once I woke up, it was like a new day, I was ready for that day, and I was ready to fight.
'People didn't realise that when I was able to sleep like that, it meant I was as relaxed as I could possibly be.

'There's no point being in a dressing room ages before the fight, pacing up and down and breathing hard, that's not me. I sleep, I relax and I get in the ring.
'I would wake up just in time to wrap my hands and then my warm-up was fast.'

Instead, he dug deeper than the Channel Tunnel to give his burgeoning trainer Francis-Henri Graffard — a coming force on the world stage — his second King George in a row. Magnifique. Not so the Ballydoyle tactics, which even left Graffard and winning jockey Mickael Barzalona scratching their heads. Advertisement Here they had the 5-2 second favourite in Jan Brueghel, a horse with abundant stamina who outstayed Calandagan at Epsom two months ago and for whom a strong, end-to-end gallop was vital. Everyone expected the 40-1 rag Continuous to set off on his usual pace-making duties to ensure it wasn't a tactical race. Puzzlingly, he was dropped in behind his stablemate and they ended up going a crawl as Jan Brueghel did the donkey work. It made little sense — not that Barzalona was complaining. He was on the horse with the best turn of foot, so he must have been licking his lips. Mind you, Andrew Balding's fine filly Kalpana showed an impressive burst of her own as she kicked for home at the two-furlong pole. It looked for the best part of a furlong that Calandagan would be unable to reel her in but, as all the top-class ones do, he quickened once, quickened twice and was going away by a length at the line. He was second in the Juddmonte International, Champion Stakes, Sheema Classic and Coronation Cup — but he's the Chantilly shirker no more. Graffard said: 'I never had any doubts about his will to win, when he's been beaten he has had excuses. Diogo Jota immortalised at Anfield as Liverpool FC unveil lasting tribute
Liverpool FC have confirmed that a permanent tribute to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva will be introduced at Anfield in the near future. Diogo and Andre were both tragically killed in a car accident at the beginning of this month and tributes have been pouring in for the brothers ever since. Diogo wore the number 20 for Liverpool and that shirt was recently retired by the club to honour his legacy. Thousands have paid tribute to Diogo and Andre. Pic: Peter Byrne/PA After consulting with Diogo's family, Liverpool confirmed that no member of a team across all levels of the club would wear the number 20 out of respect. Since the two Portuguese footballers died, thousands of physical tributes such as flowers, scarves, works of art, cards, banners and opposition jerseys have been placed to create a beautiful memorial at Anfield. The area was used by thousands, including Liverpool's squad and staff along with their friends and family, to pay their respects to the brothers. For two pre-season games that are happening in Asia, the players' shirts will include a specially designed patch that will display 'Diogo J. 20'. A floral tribute will also be laid before kick-off at the games in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Anfield. When Liverpool's new kits are launched on August 1, players will display their own tribute with a specially made 'Forever 20' emblem printed into their shirts and stadium jackets, which will remain in place for the entire season. The main commemoration, including a special fan mosaic and a minute of silence, is being planned for the first game of the Premier League season, against Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday August 15. Liverpool stated that they are expressing their 'heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has taken the time, and continues to take the time, to leave tributes in honour of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva at Anfield'.
