DTI certifies 4 companies as 1st export-oriented firms under CREATE MORE
The first four companies awarded with EOE certifications are as follows:
Dole Philippines Inc. (Est. 1963): A global leader in tropical fruit exports, Dole cultivates vast plantations across Mindanao and Luzon, supplying fresh and processed pineapples and juices to markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The company is also expanding into sustainable agriculture and biofuel production.
Philsaga Mining Corporation (PMC) (Est. 2001): PMC operates the Coo Gold Mine in Agusan del Sur, extracting over 900,000 metric tons of ore annually.
Krystle Exports Philippines, Inc. (Est. 1987): Krystle Exports is a distributor of premium Filipino food and non-food products. It also partners with local manufacturers to deliver high-quality goods to the US, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.
Bosch Service Solutions Inc. (Est. 2010): Based in Taguig City, Bosch provides Business Process Outsourcing and customer experience services to global clients, including the Bosch Group.
The DTI said its Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) facilitated the ceremonial awarding of EOE certificates to the first four companies.
The EOE certification, it said, signifies the implementation rollout of the CREATE MORE Act's VAT-related incentives for exporters.
The Trade Department said the certification grants eligible enterprises access to critical tax benefits that reduce operational costs and fuel reinvestment in innovation and expansion.
'This landmark initiative marks more than a policy breakthrough—it signals our readiness to compete, scale, and lead in the global market. By strengthening the ability of our exporters to expand their reach, we are also generating jobs, and driving inclusive economic growth,' said Trade Secretary Cristina Roque.
'This commitment advances President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vision for a 'Bagong Pilipinas,' as we build a more agile and opportunity-rich environment for Filipino exporters through the strategic incentives of the CREATE MORE Act,' added Roque.
The Republic Act No. 12066 or CREATE MORE Act was signed into law on November 8, 2024.
Under the law, qualified companies may be certified as EOEs if at least 70% of their annual sales come from export transactions.
Once certified, EOEs gain access to VAT zero-rating on local purchases of goods and services, as well as VAT-exempt importation of goods directly used in export activities.
These targeted incentives significantly lower the cost of doing business, allowing exporters to scale operations, enhance product quality, and compete more effectively in international markets, according to the DTI.

Pag-IBIG Fund posts record-high P28.04B net income in H1 2025
The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund saw its bottom line grow by double-digit in the first half of 2025 on the back of higher premium collections and earnings from its housing loan programs. In a statement on Friday, Pag-IBIG Fund reported a net income of P28.04 billion, up 15.25% or P3.71 billion from a year earlier. This is the highest net income recorded since the agency was founded in 1980, according to the housing fund. The fund added that its gross earnings stood at P44.39 billion, up 11.65% or P4.63 billion higher year-on-year. Pag-IBIG Fund said its financial performance during the period was due to strong collections and higher earnings from its housing and short-term loan portfolios. 'This performance shows how excellently we are managing the funds that our members have entrusted to us. With our strong fiscal standing, we remain capable of continuing to deliver our members' benefits and are in a solid position to finance more homes under the 'Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino' or Expanded 4PH Program, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to empower more Filipinos to achieve better, more dignified lives,' said Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, who also chairs the 11-member Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees. Moreover, Pag-IBIG Fund said higher investment returns also contributed to its first half 2025 income growth. In particular, the fund's income from investments surged by 51.79% year-on-year to P4.27 billion 'driven by strategic placements in bonds and other debt securities, money market instruments, equities, and investment properties.' Pag-IBIG Fund said its investment income accounted for 5.56% of the fund's total gross earnings during the period. For her part, Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta bared the fund's financial position. As of June 2025, Pag-IBIG Fund's total assets stood at P1.14 trillion, up 7.02% or P74.90 billion increase from the year-end 2024 figure of P1.07 trillion. Israeli consul visits wake of Negrense OFW killed in missile attack
Israeli Consul Moti Cohen arrived in the Province of Negros Occidental to visit personally the wake of Leah Mosquera in San Enrique town. Mosquera is the Negrense overseas Filipino worker (OFW) rushed to the hospital after a missile attack by Iran on Israel on June 15, 2025. She stayed in the hospital for weeks as she underwent an operation at the Shamir Medical Center. She was on comatose, and passed away on July 13, 2025. According to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, Cohen condoled personally with Mosquera's family in San Enrique. Cohen also assured financial assistance and humanitarian aid to Mosquera's family. Capitol has also handed over financial assistance worth P190,000 to her family. Mosquera worked for 13 years as a caregiver in Israel. Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Department of Migrant Workers - Negros Island Region Director Glenda Aligonza, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration 6 Director James Mendiola, and Provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Head Karen Dinsay welcomed Cohen in Negros Occidental. Mosquera's interment is set on August 16, 2025.
