beThe update comes after a high-profile mishap in Houston late last month involving a similar aerial stunt. On June 28, Beyoncé had been performing the same song while seated in a red Cadillac suspended above the stage. Midway through the performance, the vehicle began tilting unexpectedly. In fan-captured footage, Beyoncé can be heard calmly saying 'stop' multiple times before thanking the crowd for their patience. Crew members then safely lowered her back to the stage, earning applause from fans inside NRG Stadium.
Following the incident, '16 Carriages' was removed from the June 29 setlist, with Beyoncé ending that performance with 'Amen,' another track from her acclaimed Cowboy Carter album. The song was also omitted during two shows in Washington, D.C. on July 4 and 7.
The Cowboy Carter Tour, which began in Los Angeles this past April, has made stops in Chicago, New Jersey, London, and Paris, and will wrap up in Las Vegas on July 26. The tour has included special appearances by her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, and a rare onstage collaboration with husband Jay-Z in Paris.
The acclaimed tour follows Cowboy Carter's success at the 2025 Grammy Awards, where it earned both Best Country Album and Album of the Year. Beyoncé dedicated the honors to country music trailblazer Linda Martell, vowing to keep opening doors. With new visuals and an evolving setlist, Beyoncé continues to blend innovation and resilience as her historic tour enters its final stretch.

Beyonce makes history with 'Cowboy Carter'
Beyonce's Cowboy Carter tour is now the highest-grossing country tour of all time with over USD400 million in revenue, Live Nation said in a statement on Monday, citing a Billboard story. As per Reuters, the Cuff It singer has also become the highest-grossing Black artist of all time and the highest-grossing R&B artist of all time, Live Nation added. Additionally, the 43-year-old performer has made history as the first woman and American act to have two different tours earning over $400 million. According to NME, Beyonce's 2023 Renaissance trek – previously named one of the highest-grossing tours of all time – amassed USD579 million across 56 shows. In late April, the singer launched the Cowboy Carter tour in Los Angeles, rolling through Texas Hold 'Em and other country hits while sharing the stage with her two daughters. Last Saturday, Beyonce finished the record-breaking tour in Las Vegas with special appearances from her husband, rapper Jay-Z, her former R&B girl group, Destiny's Child, and country singer Shaboozey. Throughout her tour, the 16 Carriages vocalist has paid homage to Black American contributions to country music, specifically honouring Black performers, some of whom are featured in the Cowboy Carter album. Beyonce has spoken candidly about not feeling welcomed in the country genre despite her Texas roots, after she became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Her performance at the Country Music Association Awards in 2016 received notable backlash, including racist comments across social media from those saying her songs were not real country music. There were 32 sold-out stadium shows across North America, the UK, and Europe that grossed over $400 million, according to Live Nation. By contrast, pop singer Taylor Swift earned over $2 billion for her Eras tour that spanned from March 2023 to December 2024, becoming the highest-grossing tour ever.

Beyoncé introduced them with the line, 'Destiny's Child, bitch,' which was met with strong crowd reaction. The concert featured multiple guest appearances. Jay-Z appeared alongside Beyoncé for Crazy in Love and part of N‑s in Paris. Later in the show, Shaboozey joined her to perform Sweet Honey Buckin', their collaborative track from Cowboy Carter. Jay-Z and Beyoncé secure $57 million mortgage on Bel Air property amid tour and real estate moves
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have reportedly taken out a new $57.75 million mortgage on their Bel Air mansion, adding to the significant borrowing already tied to the property. Originally purchased in 2017 for $88 million, the luxury home has become a focal point in the couple's real estate portfolio. According to recent reports, the new mortgage increases their total loan amount on the property to $110 million. This latest loan is structured as a 30-year agreement, with an initial interest rate of 5% for the first decade. Monthly payments on this new loan are estimated to be around $310,000. This follows a previous loan taken out in 2021, where the couple secured $52.8 million at a 3.15% rate through Goldman Sachs, resulting in monthly payments of approximately $226,901. The Bel Air estate features 11 bedrooms, four pools, a wellness centre, a spa, a media room and other amenities across six interconnected structures designed by Dean McKillen. Property taxes alone are estimated to be around $100,343 per month. This development coincides with the final dates of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter world tour, which began in April and is scheduled to conclude in Las Vegas on July 26 and 27. The tour has visited several major cities, including Chicago, London, and Los Angeles. Though the reason for the refinancing remains undisclosed, it comes as the couple continues to maintain multiple high-value properties, including a $200 million California estate acquired in 2023.
