Jason Manford to return as host for series two of The Answer Run
The innovative programme format sees three pairs of contestants battle it out in a fast paced, quick-thinking general knowledge quiz show, where contestants are always one swipe away from banking the cash or crashing out. Families watching at home can also play along and test how they would fair when facing The Run!. Filming for the new series (25x45') will take place in Glasgow this March.
In each round of this addictive 50/50 quiz, contestants are given the choice of two possible answers. Questions fly down The Run and players must swipe towards the answer they think is correct. Under time pressure will they make the right decision?
Answer categories will range from 'Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift' to 'Jupiter or Mars' and everything in between.

Inside Jay Blades' career as The Repair Shop host charged with rape
From his early struggles growing up on a Hackney council estate after leaving school at the age of 15 with no qualifications, Jay Blades defied the odds to become one of TV's unlikely stars. The 55-year-old, known for his charming presence, became a household name after The Repair Shop launched on BBC One eight years ago. Through his work with disadvantaged youth and his charity efforts and restoration work, he was awarded an MBE by the future King Charles back in 2022 for his services to craft. But despite his rags to riches story, Blades was charged last year with engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, with allegations coming from his estranged wife, Lisa Marie Zbozen, which he appeared in court for today. Yesterday, he was then accused of two counts of rape by the police. From his role as a TV personality to his family life and recent allegations, Metro takes an inside look at Blades' fall from grace. Blades first hosted The Repair Shop in 2017 when it was launched by the BBC. Members of the public brought their treasured possessions, some of which had been passed down through generations, to be fixed. The show began in a daytime slot, but was later moved to primetime after it became a hit. In 2023, The Repair Shop won a National Television Award and a BAFTA for its royal special, where the future King Charles took a clock and vase to the workshop. This all came after Blades' difficult childhood that saw him grow up in poverty in East London after his father abandoned his mother, before he was left homeless in his twenties. As well as presenting The Repair Shop, Blades is known for Money for Nothing, Jay Blades' Home Fix and Jay and Dom's Home Fix. Outside of presenting, the 55-year-old has appeared on a number of shows, including Would I Lie to You?, Celebrity Masterchef, Richard Osman's House of Games, The Wheel, and The Graham Norton Show. In 2021, he filmed a documentary for BBC One called Jay Blades: Learning to Read at 51, which charted his journey with dyslexia and how he enrolled in university as a mature student to study criminology but was diagnosed with the reading ability of an 11-year-old. Since then he has filmed several more documentaries about his childhood and where he grew up, including Jay Blades: No Place Like Home and Jay Blades' East End Through Time. Most recently, he has appeared alongside Sir David Jason and Dame Judi Dench in two separate series. Blades' first wife was Jade, who is the mother of one of his three children, two of which he has had from previous relationships. After meeting at university, he and Jade married and had a daughter before separating in 2015. He then went on to have a four-year relationship with Christine Goodman before meeting his second wife Lisa Zbozen, who works as a fitness instructor. They both married in November 2022 in Barbados, a year after their engagement. In May 2024, however, Lisa revealed they had separated. Back in September last year, Blades was charged with controlling and coercive behaviour against Zbozen, including physical and emotional abuse He then appeared at Worcester Crown Court on October 11 and entered a not guilty plea. More Trending The judge confirmed that Blades remained prohibited from approaching or contacting his wife under an existing exclusion order. Originally, a trial was expected to take place in May this year, but it was moved to August. Now, the presenter has been charged with two counts of rape. Got a story? EastEnders fan-favourite says tearful goodbye in early iPlayer release
This article contains spoilers for tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs at 7.30pm on BBC One or can be streamed now on iPlayer. Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) has made a tearful farewell to nephew Jimmy after committing a serious crime. Earlier this week, his thuggish associate Fat Mike (Tai Hilferink) demanded a whopping 5k in exchange for the Branning-Beale family's safety. At a lost cause with where to find this money, Oscar attempted to get a few extra shifts at Ian Beale's (Adam Woodyatt) chippy, but his efforts fell flat. He even suggested that the businessman expand his empire selling food at the park. Desperate, he told sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) of his predicament, and she begged her boss Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) for an advance on her wages. He told her that she'd have to sell some cars before he could find the money – something she was prepared to do to save her family from further turmoil. As Jay went to collect Lauren's wages, an unaware Oscar set about finding an alternative cash source. Across the road, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) was horrified to spot a masked intruder holding his bookies winnings. He slammed the living room door closed and prepared to stage an intervention when the robber launched towards him. During the scuffle, Patrick's head hit the floor and he was knocked unconscious. The burglar was of course Oscar. In tonight's episode, he called emergency services from Patrick's phone before preparing to flee. When Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) arrived at the scene of the crime, he made a run for it. Just moments before, Lauren had a run in with Mike, and handed over her wages from Jay. She and Oscar have doubled up on the cash. Oscar's concern began to grow as he watched the police and ambulance presence in The Square, and Lauren was confused as to why he was so visibly worried for a man he doesn't really know. More Trending Lauren was still awake and asked him to hold Jimmy while she went to find one of his toys, and Oscar began to pour his heart out. He told the youngster that he wanted him to make something of his life and do him proud, as it wouldn't be long before he was behind bars again. As he turned his head, Lauren was stood in the doorway holding Patrick's winnings. View More » Is this the end of Oscar? Spoilers reveal a dramatic week for Stacey Slater in EastEnders next week, as the character is greeted by a surprise return - but her happiness is quickly dampened It's set to be another big week in EastEnders next week, as Stacey Slater's (Lacey Turner) past comes back to haunt her - and it may be in the hands of teen Joel Marshall. Villian Joel has been causing trouble ever since entering the Square earlier this year - and it seems like his next victim may be none other than poor Stacey. Next week, Stacey will be over the moon when her daughter Lily Slater makes a return to the Square after going to stay with her father Ryan, along with daughter Charli. Lily needed a break after the ordeal of Martin's death, whereas in real life it was believed actress Lillia Turner took time off to sit her GCSE's. However, Stacey's delight over her daughter's return is set to be short lived when Freddie Slater breaks the news that her SecretCam pictures have been leaked online. It was actually Freddie himself who introduced Stacey to the site two years ago after she was left struggling for money, needing to pay off her bills as well as a loan shark. It was an extremely tough time for Stacey, after subscriber, and Walford High teacher Theo Hawthorne stalked Stacey. Theo was given ten years in prison, and it looked like Stacey could finally put the whole ordeal behind her - until now. In the scenes set to air next week, Stacey is convinced teen Joel Marshall is behind the cruel act, and she wastes no time going across the road to confront him. However, she's stopped when his father Ross rushes him home. Later, Joel gives Ross his laptop to check and manages to convince his dad he is not to blame - but Stacey reports him to the police. But what will happen? It's not the first time Joel has been in trouble with authorities since making his move to Walford, as he was seen assaulting a stranger on the tube. It may be the least of Joel's worries next week however, as he's left fuming when he learns Avani has had a termination without telling him she was pregnant. Plus, he's set to feel the wrath of Ravi Gulati, and no one in Walford wants that... EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
