Tropical storm outside PAR being monitored by PAGASA
According to PAGASA, the tropical storm was last located 2,050 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon at 2 p.m. with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
It is currently moving east-southeastward at 10 kph as of 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said that the Southwest Monsoon, or habagat, will bring rains in parts of the country.
Occasional rains may be expected in Occidental Mindoro and Palawan.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may be expected over Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Sorsogon, Masbate, and the rest of MIMAROPA.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, moderate winds with moderate waters may be felt over the northern and western sections of Luzon.
The rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The giant national flag at the House of Representatives is hung up in the session hall again at the Batasan Complex on Thursday, July 17, 2025 Cloudy skies with rains are expected in different parts of the country, including Metro Manila, on Monday, where President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. is set to hold his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasan Pambansa Complex. In a special weather outlook for the occasion, PAGASA said on Friday that the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will be the dominant weather system affecting the country during the SONA. 'On Monday, July 28, the Southwest Monsoon will bring mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated rains or thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan,' PAGASA said. 'The rest of the archipelago will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms,' the state weather bureau added. PAGASA said the weather outlook will be updated if significant changes in the weather pattern occur. House Secretary General Reginald Velasco issued a memo for the austere holding of the SONA amid the impact of Tropical Cyclones Crising, Dante, Emong, and the Southwast Monsoon or Habagat on the country. "There will be no staged ceremonies, fashion coverage, or photo setups in the red carpet area," read the memo. "Members are respectfully urged to avoid ostentatious displays and exercise discretion in their wardrobe choices," it added. According to the memo, this is "in view of the recent calamities affecting several regions of the country." The Senate will also not roll out the red carpet for the opening of the 20th Congress, according to Senate President Francis 'Chiz' Escudero. Several parts of the country are still reeling from the effects of consecutive storms amid days of heavy rains. The reported death toll due to Tropical Cyclones Crising, Dante, Emong and the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat has increased to 25 as of Friday morning. MWSS-RO suspends disconnection activities in Maynilad, Manila Water service areas
The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Regulatory Office (MWSS RO) on Friday announced it has ordered concessionaires Manila Water Company Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. to temporarily suspend all service disconnection activities due to non-payment of water bills within their respective service areas. In a statement, the MWSS-RO said the directive was issued in light of the combined devastation brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and Tropical Storms "Crising," "Dante," and "Emong.' The agency said suspension of service disconnection activities shall be effective for 15 days, from July 25, 2025 to August 8, 2025. The order, however, does not cover disconnection cases involving water service tampering, violations of Republic Act No. 8041 (Water Crisis Act), or other unlawful activities, the MWSS-RO noted. 'At this critical time, when access to clean, safe, and reliable water is essential to protecting public health, the MWSS RO has likewise instructed the Concessionaires to ensure water supply availability for all customers,' it said. 'Rest assured that the MWSS RO will continue to implement proactive measures to support communities and protect consumer welfare, especially during this time of adversity,' it added. Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela. It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario. Manila Water, on the other hand, has the exclusive right to provide water and used water services to the east zone of the franchise area of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), which services 23 cities and municipalities in Metro Manila and Rizal. These include Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig, Marikina, and parts of Quezon City and Manila. The towns of Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililia, Rodriguez, Tanay, Taytay, Teresa, San Mateo and Antipolo in the province of Rizal are also part of the East Zone. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
