The three-day affair has taken over the Italian lagoon city, with athletes, Hollywood celebrities, global influencers, and business titans arriving by private boats and water taxis. Friday's ceremony, held at the stunning 16th-century San Giorgio monastery complex, came after days of buildup and buzz across the city.
Guests at the celebration included Oprah Winfrey,
, Vittoria Ceretti, Kim Kardashian,
,
,
, Tom Brady,
, Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates, and Indian socialite Natasha Poonawalla.
Vogue magazine, which had exclusive access to the wedding, reported that the bride walked down the aisle in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that took 900 hours to make. Inspired by Sophia Loren's look in the 1958 film Houseboat, the dress featured high-necked lace, 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons, and hand-appliquéd detailing.
On Friday afternoon, Sanchez hid her look by appearance outside her hotel in a skirt suit with a scarf around her head. Bezos followed two hours later, looking dapper in a three-piece suit. Their guests, including some of the world's most recognisable faces, arrived in a procession of speedboats trailed closely by paparazzi, who had rented boats to keep up with the action.
Local authorities confirmed the magnitude of the event.

Veneto Governor Luca Zaia told reporters that the latest estimate for the wedding's total cost ranged between 40 and 48 million euros.
Bezos and Sanchez's relationship first made headlines in 2019, shortly after the Amazon founder announced his divorce from MacKenzie Scott, his wife of 25 years. The couple got engaged in May 2023 and have since been inseparable, regularly appearing together at high-profile events.
Sanchez, a former TV anchor and helicopter pilot, was previously married to talent agent Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares two children. She also has a son, Nikko, from her relationship with NFL star Tony Gonzalez.
The Venice wedding celebrations will wrap up on June 28.

Video: Zohran Mamdani Gets Awkward As Host Plays His Old Clip In Apron During Live Show

Last Updated: In one of the visuals, Mamdani was seen rapping while wearing a only black apron. New York Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani was taken aback when his 2019 old rap video that showed him wearing an apron without anything underneath, was played during a live interview on global media outlet CNN. This happened when the 33-year-old politician appeared for Erin Burnett OutFront talk show. Show host Erin Burnett played the assemblyman's rap video suddenly. In the video, Zohran Mamdani, along with several others, was seen dancing at various locations, including inside a food truck. The video was posted on YouTube under the name of Mr. Cardamom. In the throwback video, the state assemblyman was joined by his friends and Indian-born British-American actress Madhur Jaffrey. In one of the visuals, Mamdani was seen rapping while wearing a only black apron. During the conversation, the anchor started playing videos from Mamdani's recent campaigns, including one in which he talked about his birth place and the story about how he got his middle name. As the interview progressed, a snippet from his appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast appeared on the screen. It was followed by Burnett introducing the politician's artistic side and playing the rap clip. As the rap continued, Mamdani, apparently shocked, tried to maintain his composure by smiling. However, eventually, he gave in, saying, 'I didn't think it was going to be on CNN." To which, the host replied, 'It's there and there it is." Later, the video was posted on the official X profile of the Erin Burnett OutFront show with a caption that read, Watch as #NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani watches his past performance as a rapper and responds to critics who say he's not ready to run New York. He speaks one-on-one with @ErinBurnett. Recently, Mamdani faced intense scrutiny from Tennessee Republican Congressman Andy Ogles who publicly questioned the legitimacy of his US citizenship, calling for his deportation if it was fraudulently obtained. Mamdani was born in Uganda to Indian parents and immigrated to the United States two decades ago and became a naturalized US citizen in 2018. Since 2020, he has served in the New York State Assembly and recently clinched the Democratic nomination for mayor of New York City. Prada finally gives Kolhapuris their due

After rubbing many Indians the wrong way and inviting backlash from Maharashtra's artisan community (and a formal nudge from MACCIA), luxury label Prada has finally admitted it drew inspiration from India's iconic Kolhapuri reported by PRI, in a statement to the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA), a Prada spokesperson said, 'We acknowledge that the sandals featured in the recent Prada Men's 2026 Fashion Show are inspired by traditional Indian handcrafted footwear, with a centuries-old heritage. We deeply recognise the cultural significance of such Indian craftsmanship.'advertisementHowever, the brand also clarified that the sandals seen on the runway haven't been finalised for production yet. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Prada (@prada) 'Please note that, for now, the entire collection is currently at an early stage of design development and none of the pieces are confirmed to be produced or commercialised,' said Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada's group head for corporate social had written to Prada, flagging concerns about cultural appropriation and lack of acknowledgement, especially since Kolhapuris hold Geographical Indication (GI) status in India since part of their letter, MACCIA President Lalit Gandhi reminded the brand, 'Kolhapuri Chappals represent centuries-old craftsmanship rooted in the cultural fabric of Maharashtra, India. These products are not only symbolic of regional identity, but they also support the livelihoods of thousands of artisans and families in the Kolhapur region and surrounding districts.'advertisementHe further added, 'While we appreciate global fashion houses drawing inspiration from diverse cultures, we are concerned that this particular design appears to have been commercialised without due acknowledgement, credit, or collaboration with the artisan communities who have preserved this heritage through generations."MACCIA has urged Prada to go beyond words and actually collaborate with local craftsmen.'We kindly urge Prada to acknowledge the inspiration behind the design publicly, explore possibilities for collaboration or fair compensation that could benefit the artisan communities involved and consider supporting ethical fashion practices that respect traditional knowledge and cultural rights.'The tone of the letter was firm but hopeful: 'Such a gesture would not only uphold ethical standards in global fashion, but also foster a meaningful exchange between heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design. We trust that a brand of Prada's stature and influence will take this concern in the right spirit and initiate a thoughtful response.'Prada's response, at least on paper, hits the right notes:'We are committed to responsible design practices, fostering cultural engagement, and opening a dialogue for a meaningful exchange with local Indian artisan communities as we have done in the past in other collections to ensure the rightful recognition of their craft.'advertisementBertelli also added, 'Prada strives to pay homage and recognise the value of such specialised craftspeople that represent an unrivalled standard of excellence and heritage. We would welcome the opportunity for further discussion and will set a follow-up with the relevant Prada teams.'At the ongoing Milan Fashion Week, of the 56 looks presented at the fashion showcase, at least seven Prada Spring/Summer 2026 looks featured models wearing Kolhapuris. This caused quite a stir in outrage back home because, though there was representation of an Indian fashion staple on a global level, there was no credit whatsoever.(With inputs from PTI)- EndsTrending Reel
