Crime Stoppers: Local family, police need your help
The body of Lance Pollo, 38, was of a fire last month, and police say he was murdered before the fire was set. His family is offering a $5,000 reward, and Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $1,000 for any information leading to the successful conviction of those responsible for his murder.

Those who contact Crime Stoppers with information on the cases below can receive up to a $1,000 reward.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Department is asking for any information that can identify a suspect (or suspects) who broke into two businesses in Waterton Township.
Tyshawn Rose Donelson, 30, has a warrant for fleeing a police officer out of Lansing. She is 5'7″ and 200 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
VIncent Williams, 53, has a warrant for assault out of Lansing. He is 5'4″ and 135 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Police seeking security footage after rash of arsons near Irving Park
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are asking for help to identify the suspect in multiple arsons near Irving Park over the last week. Portland police are asking anyone living near Irving Park to review their security camera footage from July 20 and July 27, as they may have video footage of an arson suspect. The first arsons happened on July 20 and included a shed in the 700 block of Northeast Fremont Street, a trailer parked in the 3100 block of Northeast 8th Street, and a garage door in the 3600 block of Northeast 7th Street. On July 27, police said that several more arsons happened, including a fire that damaged a fence and shed in the 3900 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and one that damaged a vehicle in the 3800 block of Northeast 6th Avenue. Authorities said they are focusing on the area between North Williams Avenue and Northeast 15th Avenue and between Northeast Stanton Street and Northeast Shaver Street. Police are asking any residents living in that area with security footage between the hours of 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. on July 20 and between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on July 27 to share the unedited footage with them online. ‘Terrible dream': One horse found dead, others maimed in targeted attack in rural Welland
One horse is dead and several others were injured in what Niagara Regional Police are calling a disturbing act of animal cruelty at a rural property in Welland. In a news release, police said eight horses were targeted overnight Thursday at a horse boarding facility on Buchner Road , east of Highway 140. While police did not name the facility, it has been identified as Eagle Wing Ranch, 426 Buchner Rd. — a family-owned hunter/jumper training farm with indoor and outdoor riding arenas. In a post on Facebook , Eagle Wing Ranch owner Amanda Janssen said there were 'no words to describe the shock and devastation our barn staff and family felt as yesterday unfolded.' 'It felt like a terrible dream you were begging to wake up from. The grief is heavy as we mourn the loss of a very special horse and the injuries of seven others. We are still reeling trying to make sense of something so unnecessary and evil.' Located on 6.5 hectares along the north side of Buchner Road, the ranch includes a 17-stall barn, tack and feed rooms, and backs on to Lyons Creek, according to its website. It offers lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. Farm staff discovered the injured animals during their morning routine. Several horses had wounds consistent with cuts or stabbings, and one horse was found dead, said police. Another was taken to an out-of-town veterinary hospital for emergency care, while others received treatment on site. Forensic unit investigators examined the scene and are continuing their investigation. Horses are seen outside Welland's Eagle Wing Ranch on Friday. Police said they take reports of animal cruelty seriously and are asking for the public's help. Janssen said in her social media post that all thoughts and prayers for a full recovery for the injured mare are appreciated. 'A special thanks to Dr. Matt Nugent who came promptly and triaged horses as we sickeningly came to conclusions this was an act of violence. 'Thank you to the police, detectives and forensics for their professionalism, attentiveness and empathy. Thank you to all the overwhelming support we have felt from our horse community near and far,' she said online.
