Fazl meets businessmen: State should ensure protection, facilitation of traders
During his visit to the residence of Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh in Karachi, Fazlur Rehman met prominent industrialists including Sultan Chawla, Javed Bilwani, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Khalid Tawab, Arif Habib, and others.
Addressing key figures from Karachi's business and industrial sectors, he stated that Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan and that traders are the backbone of the economy. He emphasized that the trader community is crucial to national development and must be given due protection and dignity by the state.
The JUI chief noted that his party has always maintained a strong and principled relationship with the business community. He added that Islam prioritises peace and a prosperous economy in both national and communal life and peace means safeguarding human rights.
The event was also attended by Allama Rashid Soomro, Engineer Zia-ur Rehman, Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro, and Sami-ul-Haq Swati.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman's important meetings in Karachi are ongoing, and he is scheduled to address the JUI Sindh Digital Media Convention tomorrow.

'We are ready to work with India to counter terrorism. Let's talk—about Kashmir, water, and terrorism,' he said. Repeating his warning, Bhutto said the Taliban's broken promises continue to destabilise the region and urged Afghanistan's interim rulers to fully honour the commitments made under the Doha Agreement.

Aleema says IK speaks of ‘looming 27th amendment'
ISLAMABAD, Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ex-prime minister Imran Khan foresaw a 27th constitutional amendment on Tuesday, calling it a move towards dictatorship and urging his followers to get ready for a nationwide protest drive after 10th Muharram. In a message said to be sent through his sister Aleema Khan from Adiala Jail, he said the looming 27th constitutional amendment is being introduced which would further curtail democracy. He said that restrictions on 26 members of the Punjab Assembly made it futile to operate within existing structures. Our members should set up their own assembly outside. After the 10th of Muharram, a movement must begin against this system of slavery, he said. He reiterated that he would rather remain in jail for life than live under what enslavement. 'I will only talk to those who actually hold power,' he added. However, talking to journalists Aleema Khan alleged that the judiciary was being manipulated for political ends. She said Khan had effectively been cut off from his party and supporters. 'Imran Khan has been completely isolated. Until we are granted a meeting with him, we will remain here. When we built pressure, only two of his sisters are allowed to meet him.' She said that the PTI has over 50,000 office-bearers capable of carrying out political responsibilities. 'It is the job of politicians to lead and engage in politics – giving protest calls is not our job. A person can make all the plans he wants, but the final plan is Allah's and Allah is with Imran Khan,' she opined Aleema claimed the entire country supports Imran Khan. Aleema Khan reveals Imran Khan's protest plan after Ashura
Listen to article Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has announced that her brother has given the party a detailed plan for a nationwide protest movement, set to be launched after Muharram 10. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, she said that lawyer Salman Akram Raja has been entrusted with conveying the protest strategy to the party leadership. She added that Imran is being deliberately isolated in an attempt to 'minus' him from the political equation. 'My two sisters were allowed a 15-minute meeting, while lawyer Zaheer Abbas was granted just 90 seconds today. 'If votes are stolen and their value is denied, if the judiciary is turned into a government department and judges are humiliated, then the rule of law no longer exists,' she quoted Imran as saying. The PTI founder has reportedly expressed that introducing the 27th Constitutional Amendment would only formalise a monarchy. 'It would be better to officially declare kingship,' Aleema quoted him, adding that Imran believes the nation is being enslaved, and that lifelong imprisonment is preferable to this 'slavery.' She concluded by urging the nation to rise against what she termed an unjust system after Ashura. 'Legal avenues still exist': Faisal Chaudhry Meanwhile, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry has expressed optimism about the potential release of the PTI founder, stating that 'many legal pathways still exist' and that 'his release is now within sight.' Speaking to the media at the Dahgal checkpoint—where he was denied access to meet Imran in Adiala Jail—Chaudhry urged the nation not to lose hope despite the prevailing atmosphere of despair. One should never abandon the path of dialogue, nor should the option of resistance be discarded.' He said his decisions are based on timing and conditions, adding, 'The man who truly cares for the public is behind bars.'
