J&K High Court result 2025:
In a significant development, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has officially declared the results of the OMR-based written examination for the posts of Junior Assistant in the District Judiciary of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The written exams were held on March 16, 2025 for candidates from the Kashmir Division and on March 23, 2025 for those from the Jammu Division.
As per the official notification issued by the Chief Justice's Secretariat, hundreds of aspirants appeared in the competitive recruitment examination held pursuant to Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2024/Psy dated August 28, 2024. The candidates who have secured top positions in the merit list have been shortlisted for interviews scheduled to commence on June 23, 2025.
These interviews will be conducted at the High Court Complex, Janipur, Jammu for the Jammu Division, and at the High Court Complex, Srinagar for the Kashmir Division.
Top scorers emerge in competitive field
Among the hundreds who appeared, a few outstanding candidates from both divisions have emerged as toppers. These candidates demonstrated exceptional merit and consistency in their preparation for the highly competitive OMR-based written test.
From the Kashmir Division, Aaliya Bhat secured the highest score, earning top place in the merit list. A resident of Srinagar, Aaliya attributed her success to daily preparation and guidance from mentors. In the Jammu Division, Amanpreet Singh, hailing from Udhampur, topped the list. His strategic focus on time-bound practice papers and conceptual clarity made a remarkable difference.
Many other top-performing candidates across the regions hailed from diverse academic backgrounds, demonstrating that success in such competitive exams is attainable through dedication and disciplined study.

The interviews will begin on June 23, 2025. All shortlisted candidates are required to report by 9:00 AM on their respective interview dates, as mentioned in Annexure-A (Jammu Division) and Annexure-B (Kashmir Division) of the official notification.
Candidates must carry a valid proof of identity such as Aadhar card, PAN card, driving licence, or passport. Additionally, they are required to present all original documents and certificates (submitted during the online form filling) along with self-attested photocopies.
Failure to produce original documents may lead to disqualification from the selection process.

Guidelines for ex-servicemen and special cases
Candidates under the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category must adhere to provisions of S.O. 361 dated October 20, 2021, as per the Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Servicemen (Re-employment in Public Services and Posts) Rules, 2021.
They must submit relevant certificates issued by the respective Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, and an affidavit confirming that they have not availed the ESM benefit previously.
Candidates listed for interviews on the same date in both divisions can write to the Chief Justice's Secretariat at cjsec.highcourt@gmail.com for rescheduling. No travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) shall be paid for attending the interviews.

US State Department lays off over 1,300 employees under Trump admin's plan
The US State Department fired more than 1,300 employees on Friday in line with a dramatic reorganization plan from the Trump administration that critics say will damage America's global leadership and efforts to counter threats abroad. The department sent layoff notices to 1,107 civil servants and 246 foreign service officers with assignments in the United States, according to a senior department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters. Notices said positions were being abolished and the employees would lose access to State Department headquarters in Washington and their email and shared drives by 5 p.m., according to a copy obtained by The Associated Press. As employees packed their belongings, dozens of former colleagues, ambassadors, members of Congress and others spent a warm, humid day protesting outside. Pakistan-based terror outfits could use Nepal to launch attacks on India: Nepalese official
Representative image NEW DELHI: In a blunt warning that has confirmed the worst fears of Indian security establishment, a senior Nepalese govt advisor has cautioned that Pakistan-based terrorist organisations were likely to exploit Nepal's geography to launch attacks on India. During a seminar on challenges to regional peace and security in South Asia in Kathmandu, Sunil Bahadur Thapa, principal political advisor to the president of Nepal and former minister of industry, said Pakistan-based UN-designated terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) posed risks to India and could potentially use Nepal as a transit point for their nefarious objectives. The vulnerability of Nepal to terrorism was highlighted through specific incidents, such as hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814 from Kathmandu. Pakistani terrorist groups have been known to utilise Nepal as a transit route to infiltrate into India. Notable cases include the arrest of Abdul Karim Tunda, a top LeT operative involved in over 40 bombings in India, who was held on the India-Nepal border in 2013. The case of Mirza Dilshad Beg, an assassinated Indian-Nepali parliamentarian who had links with Dawood Ibrahim's D-company and ISI, is another case in point.
