
Motorcyclist killed after crashing into trailer making U-turn in Bukit Sentosa
Acting Hulu Selangor district police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus said police were alerted to the incident at 4pm.
"Preliminary investigations showed that the trailer, driven by a 59-year-old man, was heading from Klang to Bukit Sentosa to collect a load.
"Upon reaching the location, the trailer, which was in the left lane, attempted to make a U-turn.
"At that moment, the victim's motorcycle, which was travelling in the right lane in the same direction, was unable to avoid the trailer and collided with the right side of the trailer," he said when contacted today.
Mohd Asri said the motorcyclist died at the scene.
The body was sent to the Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital's forensic unit for post-mortem.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless or dangerous driving causing death.
Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
