On 15 June 2025, an Israeli enemy drone fell in the outskirts of Meis Al Jabal – Marjaayoun. A LAF patrol promptly moved to the location, conducted an inspection of the drone, and subsequently secured and handled it according to established procedures.

In this context, the LAF Command confirms that it is in constant communication with the Syrian authorities and is taking the necessary security measures to control the borders and maintain stability, including conducting patrols and establishing observation points. The LAF also calls on the media to exercise caution in reporting news related to the situation at the border and to avoid publishing information that could create internal tension, urging them to refer to official LAF statements for accurate information. The arrested individuals were handed over to the competent judicial authorities.
