KQRS temporarily goes DJ-free ahead of April 3 relaunch
As of Monday morning, those tuning in to KQRS found the station's customary classic rock hits but no DJs, with promos telling listeners: "Come back April 3 to find out what's next for 92 KQRS."
Social media posts on the station's pages said the same: "Come back Thursday, April 3rd at 6am to hear what we've been cooking up here at Minnesota's 92 KQRS!"
No other details have been provided as of Tuesday. Bring Me The News has reached out to owner Cumulus Media for comment.
Cumulus has already made changes at its Twin Cities stations in the past month, resulting in the departures of Brian Zepp, co-host of Steve Gorman & The KQ Morning Show at KQRS, and Andrew Wappel from the 93X Half-Assed Morning Show.
The current weekday lineup on KQRS is Steve Gorman from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Chris Nelson from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lisa Miller from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Shannon Knight from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The Thursday evening storm that swept through the Twin Cities forced the postponement of the first concert of St. Paul's Lowertown Sounds series. Ahead of its scheduled Thursday concert featuring the Flamin' Oh's, Lowertown Sounds announced that the threat of thunderstorms had resulted in the cancellation. The show, which would have marked the kickoff of the series at Mears Park, is rescheduled for Sep. 11. 'We are as excited as you about kicking off the series but also don't want our first night out to be a wet and sloppy mess, especially for one of our summer highlight bands, the Flamin Oh's,' Lowertown Sounds wrote on Facebook. The series is scheduled to resume on Thursday, June 19 with a performance by The New Standards. Aside from the rescheduled show, Lowertown Sounds will run on Thursdays through Aug. 14. It'll have art vendors, food trucks, live music, and other performances throughout the weekend. On Sunday, the free live music includes Couch Potato Massacre, Radiator Girl, Willows, Dan Israel, John Magnuson Trio, Shug E, and others. June 14–15, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. — along West River Parkway from N 4th Avenue to S 11th Avenue, Minneapolis The Eagan art park and NAMI Minnesota are hosting a free festival with creative workshops and activities, including drumming, rock stacking (yes, really), forest bathing, mobile metal casting, and other hands-on art projects. Plus, you're in the art park, so, take a stroll and enjoy some sculptures. June 14, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. — Caponi Art Park, 1220 Diffley Rd., Eagan Minneapolis has an incredible number of free concerts in its parks throughout the summer. That includes Father's Day, when you can see the a cappella group CANTUS (2 p.m.) and Just Dave and the Rockin Allstars (5:30 p.m.). All the food trucks that will be at the Hopkins Food Truck Festival originally appeared on Bring Me The News. Good smells are going to be wafting through Hopkins. The 2025 Hopkins Food Truck Festival lands on Saturday, June 21, touting more than 50 food trucks dishing up tacos and pizza, as well as crispy pork belly, green papaya salad, and donuts. The annual food truck gathering has food trucks lined up around downtown Hopkins on Main Street between 11th Avenue N and 8th Avenue S. However, it alights with more than access to a surplus of food trucks. It also offers a beer garden, family-friendly games, and live music from Jezebelle, Whiskey Stone, and Jacuzzi Puma. While that's all fun, the main attraction remains the food trucks. These are the trucks you'll find setting up shop in Hopkins on June 21. (At least, these are the ones announced so far.
