BUILDING The Band judge Liam Payne doesn't hold back in love-bombing a boyband on the show that remind him of the early days of One Direction.
In the new episode of the Netflix talent contest, which drops today, the late singer is seen talking to group Midnight 'Til Morning, first in a workshop then after their performance on stage.

He tells them: 'It was really nice to spend a bit of time with you guys earlier on.
'I've got a very big soft spot for you boys, you remind me a lot of what we were like.
'Don't let me down – boybands!'
Liam also seems to have quite a bit of faith in them, as he shares some tips on how to work crowds in stadiums should they ever get the same level of career as his One Direction did.
He tells them: 'When you're in a stadium you can see the front rows of people but everything else becomes one big crowd, so you're trying to move a section of the crowd, not just one person, so everything's got to be quite big.'
His gushing is reciprocated when one of the boyband members tells Liam: 'We all looked up to you boys so much and we want to be that next band.
'You guys kind of shied away from that Nineties boyband thing.'
Then he suddenly realises he's standing next to host AJ McLean, who famously sang with arguably the biggest boyband of the Nineties, Backstreet Boys.

There's a few more laughter lines and flashes of silver, but Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are still looking just as good as they were back in their Dawson's Creek heyday.
The two actors, who played Joey and Pacey on the cult teen drama, were all smiles as they were reunited on the New York City set of their new film Happy Hour.
For five years from 1998, young viewers on both sides of the Atlantic were gripped by the intertwined romances among the strangely deep and mature adolescents that resided in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts.
After the show ended, the cast went their different ways and had very different life experiences.
Katie married Tom Cruise, while Michelle Williams starred in Brokeback Mountain and started dating its star, the late Heath Ledger.
Meanwhile, Joshua has arguably enjoyed something of a later life renaissance in his career, starring in TV shows including The Affair and Doctor Odyssey.

It's normally delightful to see a mother teaching her child new skills, but in the case of one new Prime Video thriller, it's more spine-chilling.
This exclusive image from The Assassin shows Keeley Hawes, who plays a hitwoman, delivering a crash course in using a gun to her son, played by Freddie Highmore.
And anyone who sees the first, bloody three minutes of the show – which drops on Friday – will understand why it's probably for the best.

Troy Deeney reveals he became an Antiques Roadshow fan while serving time in prison

The Antiques Roadshow has an unlikely fan in former Premier League bad boy Troy Deeney.
The ex-Watford ace turned broadcaster says he got hooked on the long-running BBC series in the most unlikely of places – prison.
Deeney, who will soon be appearing in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, said watching the show helped him pass the time while he was serving three months for affray before he made it big in football.
He said: 'I was a little bit naughty at one point and basically when I was in jail, I had a lot of time watching Antiques Roadshow.
'I'd watch Antiques Roadshow and that one [Bargain Hunt] as well where they used to run round and buy things and then try to sell it.
'These couples had grafted all day and they'd got 90 quid and they're like 'Yes, we won'.
'It was a bit sad, but it got me through a lot of jail time.'
I doubt anyone would be brave enough to mock him.
Football play Dear England, which is being turned into a TV drama, will soon return to the stage with a national tour.
It will star former EastEnder Samantha Womack opposite David Sturzaker as Gareth Southgate. It kicks off on September 15 in Plymouth.

Oasis at Wembley review: London finally sees Liam Gallagher at his best

London hasn't always brought out the best in Liam Gallagher. He sat it out at Royal Festival Hall as the band played on without him for their MTV Unplugged recording in 1996. At the old Wembley Stadium, months before it closed to be rebuilt, a drunken performance in the shadow of the ground's Twin Towers resulted in Liam vowing not to take to the stage while under the influence again; Noel later described the show — recorded for posterity as a sub-standard live album — as the band's lowest point. And the last time the Gallaghers played live together in London, for 2009's iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse, Liam rowed with the crowd in an unhappy showing; little more than a month later, the band were finished.

Oasis fans spot clue and are convinced Gallagher brothers 'missed' touring together

Oasis fans believe Noel and Liam Gallagher have 'missed' touring with one another, and that one particular clue in Cardiff highlights the band's love for live shows Fans believe they have spotted a clue during an Oasis show which suggests Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher "missed" performing together. The Gallagher brothers reunited for their first shows in 16 years, kicking off their Live '25 dates in Cardiff earlier this month. Attendees of the sold out shows in Cardiff and Manchester have since suggested the Liam and Noel look delighted to be back performing together. ‌ A post to the r/Oasis Reddit page had a fan share their thoughts on how the brothers seemed to be relishing their time on stage together. Oasis recently performed their final Manchester date, with the series of sold out shows at Heaton Park received well by those in attendance. ‌ ‌ Even those who didn't manage to bag tickets to the show said they enjoyed the experience, sitting on top of "Gallagher hill" and watching the show from a vantage point outside the festival grounds. The post to the Oasis subreddit reads: "I feel as if Noel missed this a lot more than he admitted earlier on. Was at Heaton Park on Saturday, one of the many things I took away from that special night was how much Noel was loving it. "I can understand the first few years with the High Flying Birds post break up. But he repeatedly gave the 'been there, done that, don't need to do it again' speech in response to comeback rumours through the years. ‌ "I don't know, I'm no mind reader but I think deep down, he really, really missed doing shows like this as 'Oasis' all along. "I absolutely loved to watch how much he enjoyed it, it just added to how epic the night was. I wish I could experience that all over again." Another fan has suggested a moment at the Cardiff gig highlighted just how much Gallagher had missed performing with his brother and the rest of the Oasis members. ‌ They wrote: "His face during Slide Away in Cardiff said it all." Fans are now convinced the brothers have loved the shows so much they may head back into the recording studio for their first album since Dig Out Your Soul. One fan wrote: "I really do wonder if a new album would be in the works after the tour ends." Another suggested: "I think so. I don't think this reformation was ever going to be a one-off thing unless him and Liam didn't get on, and they're loving it. Someone like Noel and someone like Liam can't resist making new music, and with them together again it's inevitable." Though a new album hadn't been planned and was even ruled out by management, fans are hopeful Oasis will change their mind and return to the studio. One listener wrote: "Even if a new album wasn't planned, I bet he's thinking about it now. But I think it's better if they just take one step at a time: let's finish the tour well (something I have no doubt will happen), and then we'll see."

Australian reality TV stars shocked by VERY surprising cameo in newly released Happy Gilmore 2 film

Two Australian reality TV stars have expressed their shock after making a very unexpected cameo in the newly released US film Happy Gilmore 2. Love Island Australia stars Kaylah Holmes, 23, and Hannah Steinfeld, 25, are featured in a scene in the Netflix movie - in which the characters watch LIA on TV. In the Adam Sandler movie, golfer John Daly (playing himself) and Christopher McDonald (reprising his role from part one) are seen watching a racy clip from LIA on a TV at Gilmore's house. In the movie, Hannah is seen on the TV flaunting her jaw-dropping bikini body as she takes an outdoor shower, while chatting to Kaylah. 'This girl's got some body on her!' Christopher's character remarks about Kaylah, to which John replies: 'Hey, we do not objectify women anymore.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The shock cameo caught the attention of both reality stars, with Kaylah sharing a clip from the movie to social media and writing alongside it: 'Definitely didn't expect to see this when watching Happy Gilmore 2,' while Hannah added: 'Iconic'. Kaylah and Hannah featured on series six of the Channel Nine reality TV series LIA in 2024. Love Island Australia is available to watch in America on Disney's streaming platform Hulu. The long-awaited sequel premiered on Netflix on Friday. It's been nearly three decades since the cast of Happy Gilmore initially hit the links. And three of the film's iconic stars looked almost unrecognisable on Tuesday, when they appeared on the Today show. Adam Sandler, Christopher McDonald, and Julie Bowen appeared on the show to discuss the highly-anticipated sequel to the hit 1996 comedy. Sandler, 58, who played the eponymous character, was sporting a shock of salt-and-pepper facial hair, looking a far cry from the fresh-faced 28-year-old who appeared in the original. In the Adam Sandler movie, golfer John Daly (right) is seen watching a racy clip from LIA on a TV at Gilmore's house His casual sense of style hadn't changed though, with the actor wearing a colourful floral-patterned shirt. Julie Bowen, 55, who played Happy's love interest Virginia Venit, also cut a distinctly different figure from her '90s self. In the original film, Julie sported a very era-appropriate short blonde bob. Julie, who is also known for her iconic role as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family, wore her much longer blonde locks down for the chat. She also cut a very stylish figure in a smart houndstooth skirt and matching jacket. Chris McDonald, meanwhile, has not changed markedly since his days playing the film's iconic antagonist Shooter McGavin. Now 70, Chris was sporting a very similar 'do' to the one he had in the comedy juggernaut, only now with a greyer hue. Speaking about the anticipated sequel, the trio admitted they weren't trying to break new ground, but rather play up the nostalgia angle. The sequel comes almost three decades after the original film debuted.
