Love Island star breaks social media silence after being dumped from the villa
Dumped Love Island star Megan Forte Clarke has said being in the Spanish villa was 'an absolute whirlwind' as she opens up about her future with Limerick native Conor Phillips.
The public had been asked to vote for their favourite Islander, and the Dubliner received the fewest votes out of the girls, while Remell was also voted out from the show.
Returning to social media on Monday, she told fans: 'Dive down x.Being in the villa was an absolute whirlwind and I've made memories and friends that have made it worth every second.
'Thank you to everyone who's (sic) taken the time to support. It doesn't go unnoticed. @loveisland thank you for everything.'
The dumping comes after Megan had upset fans after she ended her romance with Tommy and moved on with Conor.
But speaking to host Maya Jama during her exit interview on Aftersun on Sunday night, Megan said she would like to date Conor after the show ends.
She said: 'Me and Conor were at a really good stage. He was really upset so it broke my heart a little bit. Someone could walk in for him tomorrow and it could be different. I definitely want to have something with Conor on the outside.'
On the show Megan vowed to wait for Conor as she bid farewell to the Munster Rugby star.
'Will you wait for me?' he asked her.
'Yeah, I'll wait for you,' she responded.
Following her departure, Conor broke down in tears, telling fellow Islander Ben 'I look at her like a girlfriend on the outside.'
'I hand on heart do not think that anyone is going to come through that door that I fancy more than Megan.'
On Aftersun, Megan revealed who she wants to win the show, saying: 'I want them [Dejon and Megan] to win. They have something undeniable. They were my parents in there.'
When asked how she felt about leaving so soon, she confessed: 'I'm gutted to have left because I was getting to a really good place with Conor and I'd tied up loose ends with Tommy and Emily.'
'I would've liked to have left on better terms with Tommy. We were getting there, but that comes with time and I didn't have time on my side. I made best friends there and had an absolute ball.'

She says that going on the show has helped her confidence grow in terms of her disability but has had a negative impact elsewhere. 'My confidence in terms of my arm I think has got better,' she explains. 'My confidence in terms of other things maybe not - because you're constantly compared to all these other girls who have been on and you know put next to them. 'So confidence in your looks can go down for some people and for me with my arm, it was such a positive reaction and not as many trolls as I thought coming off of it were on me about my arm. So my confidence I'd say has gone up in that sense.' In general, Love Island wasn't the fairytale experience she had been hoping for, admitting: 'You have this vision in your head that it's going to be the most amazing summer of your life. 'And I definitely thought in my head, oh, they've got someone for me.
