Three more arrested in Bukit Puchong abduction case
Subang police chief Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the suspects, aged between 18 and 19, were picked up in Hulu Selangor and Puchong on Thursday.
He confirmed that police also recovered the victim's clothing and mobile phone, The Star reported.
All three suspects have been remanded for further investigation.
On Tuesday, police had earlier arrested a 32-year-old man in SS19, Subang Jaya, just hours after the kidnapping occurred.
The victim, who was with the suspect at the time of arrest, was rescued and found with minor injuries.
ACP Wan Azlan said the main suspect has a criminal record and a tattoo linked to an outlawed secret society.
'Preliminary investigation showed that the motive of the abduction is related to debts,' the police official said.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

Two men have died after four people were stabbed at a business premises in Southwark. Police were called at 1pm on Monday after multiple people were assaulted in Long Lane, SE1. A 58-year-old man died at the scene in central London and three others were rushed to hospital. A 27-year-old man later died from his stab wounds. A man in his thirties who has been detained in connection with the incident remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital. Another man in his thirties remains in hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A witness living in the area told the Metro newspaper that while working from home with their windows open, they heard someone outside saying, 'in a deep, shallow voice: 'Help me'.' They explained when they were returning home from grabbing some lunch they saw paramedics attending a 'clothless man on the ground, who seemed to have a wound on his right side of his body, around his chest area or slightly below'. The witness explained he heard the man moaning and he was transferred onto a stretcher alive after around 30 minutes. One concerned mother who lives nearby told MailOnline how she heard of the stabbing through her child's nursery, which is just minutes away from the scene of the stabbings. She said: 'It's really shocking. To have this in an area where I'm raising a child makes me worry that I shouldn't be living somewhere like this now that we have a family.' Councillor Natasha Ennin, Southwark Council's cabinet member for community safety, said: 'I'm horrified and deeply saddened by the deaths of two men in our borough today. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and friends. 'Police have launched a murder investigation and have said this evening they do not believe the incident to be terrorism-related, and that there is no further risk to the public. Three people arrested for murder of Cape Town cop
The Hawks have arrested three people in connection with the murder of a police officer who was shot dead outside his home in Vrygrond, Muizenberg, on 30 May. Sergeant Lulama Njobeni, 48, was stationed at the Wynberg police station at the time of his murder. Hawks spokesperson Warrant Officer Zinzi Hani said the three people, aged 19 to 25, were arrested on Monday after a multidisciplinary team followed up on information and traced them to Muizenberg. They are expected to make their first appearance in the Muizenberg Magistrate's Court on a murder charge on Wednesday, Hani said. Acting head of the Hawks in the Western Cape, Brigadier Mushavhaduvha Ramovha, praised the investigating team for following every lead. News24 previously reported that the Cape Town police officer's body was discovered at around 05:00 at his home on Thys Witbooi Road. At the time of the incident, he was in uniform and was en route to the Wynberg police station. His family members, who were inside the home, were unharmed. In the same month, a 31-year-old off-duty police officer was shot dead in her vehicle, close to a primary school in Langa, Cape Town. In an unrelated incident, a few hours after that, a 35-year-old administrative clerk attached to the Kraaifontein police station was shot dead in a parking lot next to a mosque in Gatesville, Athlone.
