Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell are set to be notably absent from Melanie Brown's nuptials this Saturday, insiders reveal. Despite being a fashion mogul and part of Mel B's Spice Girls history, Victoria won't grace the guest list at the high-profile wedding of "Scary Spice" Mel B to her beau Rory McPhee, which will take place at St Paul's Cathedral.
Rumours also swirl that Emma Bunton or Melanie Chisholm might give the event a miss. According to a source, 51 year old Victoria is tied up with international commitments: "Victoria has long-standing commitments abroad and simply can't attend. She adores Mel, and despite their different career paths, they get along well. It's unfortunate but there's no bad blood. It's just one of those things."
As for Geri, the reason for her absence is tied to a more complex past with Mel. Over the years there has been palpable tension making it tough for them to share a room. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter
Victoria won't be able to attend Mel's wedding
The strain intensified when Mel B shared on Piers Morgan's Life Stories that she had once had a clandestine romantic liaison with Geri during their Spice Girl days – an admission that deeply wounded Geri.
According to reports, Mel never extended an apology, and the explosive claim caused significant discomfort for Geri's husband, Christian Horner, who reportedly felt "mortified" by the revelation, reports the Mirror.

In a pattern of absences, neither Victoria nor Geri turned up for Mel's milestone 50th birthday bash in Leeds this May, leaving only Emma and Mel C to celebrate with the birthday girl.
The forthcoming nuptials will be Mel B's third walk down the aisle.
She first exchanged vows with Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998, where she sported an extravagant Vegas showgirl feathered headdress paired with a white-and-gold gown.
In 2007, Mel B wed Stephen Belafonte in a Las Vegas ceremony and they renewed their vows in Egypt the following year.
The pair parted ways in 2016 amidst allegations of emotional and physical abuse from Mel, which Belafonte has consistently denied.
His legal team claimed the couple spent through Mel's £50 million fortune during their marriage.
Post her separation from Stephen, Mel B developed a close bond with Rory McPhee, whom she described last year as "a family friend, great hairdresser... when I went back to England, he would come over and give me hair treatments... And as he was nurturing my curls back, I guess he was nurturing my trust and belief in a relationship."
Thanks to her OBE, awarded in 2022 for her charitable efforts aiding vulnerable women, particularly through Women's Aid, Mel B is eligible to tie the knot at St Paul's Cathedral.
In preparation for her big day, Mel B threw a lively hen do in Tunisia, donning leopard-print swimwear, engaging in a choreographed dance, taking a belly dancing lesson, and enjoying a "Zen party."

Her daughter Phoenix and 35 pals joined the celebration, which included dancing by the sea and a sumptuous spread.
The Mirror has reached out to Mel B's representatives for a statement regarding this report.

EXCLUSIVE Mel B to throw £28,000 lavish wedding party at the Shard after she ties the knot for the third time with fiancé Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral
Mel B will throw a huge 'party in the sky' after she marries fiancé Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral on Saturday after hiring the Shard in London for her post nuptials celebrations. MailOnline can reveal that the Spice Girl will be joined by her guests for a meal, drinks and dancing at the Shangri-La venue inside the building which boasts 95 floors and promises panoramic views over the capital. There her friends and family will dance into the small hours as the 'party of the century' has been promised by the bride and groom. Mel, 50, will also stay at the hotel on Friday night with her bridesmaids and close family. One source involved in the wedding said: 'It is going to be huge, the Shard is the most fantastic venue with unforgettable views so it will make for the most memorable event. 'It is conveniently close to St Paul's too, it's third time lucky for Mel so she is going to go all out and celebrate. 'The Shard says that brides and grooms can "celebrate their special day in the clouds with enchanting London views, your special day will be as breathtaking as your love story" and that is exactly what Mel wants.' The celebrations won't come cheap. Shangri-La charges around £280 per person, meaning that it will cost the singer £28,000 just for their food and small number of drinks. There will then be other costs including DJs, venue hire and extra beverages. The Shard stands at 309.6 metres tall and has 95 floors, making it the tallest building in the UK and the fourth tallest in Europe and has in the past held many showbiz parties, including Sony Music's post BRITs bash. It is understood that Mel will bus her guests from St Paul's Cathedral to the Shard, which is at the southern foot of London Bridge on old Routemasters - similar to the one that was used in their movie Spice World, which was a modified vintage one. However, the A list line up is looking somewhat depleted after MailOnline revealed yesterday that neither Victoria Beckham or Geri Halliwell will attend the do, while either Emma Bunton or Melanie Chisholm will also be absent though it is not known yet which one. Sources say that Posh, 51, will be abroad, whole Geri's no show is said to be down to hers and Mel's tempestuous relationship. The two women went to war after Mel revealed during an interview on Piers Morgan's Life Stories that she had an intimate relationship with Geri when the band was starting out. Sources also say that Geri's husband Christian Horner was 'mortified' about Mel's claims. Neither Victoria or Geri attended Mel's 50th birthday in Leeds back in May. Just Emma and Mel C were in attendance. It is the third time that Mel will say 'I do' after first marrying Dutch backing dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998. For her big day Mel wore a Vegas showgirl style feathered headdress with a white and gold dress. And next, when she wed Stephen Belafonte in 2007, after they eloped to Las Vegas before holding a vow renewal in Egypt the following year. After Mel and Stephen separated in 2016 she accused him of emotional and physical abuse, which he has always denied. His lawyers said that during the marriage they spent her £50million fortune. Mel grew close to McPhee after the breakdown of her marriage to Belafonte. Mel celebrated her upcoming wedding with a sun-soaked hen do in Tunisia, featuring leopard-print bikinis, a choreographed dance routine, and a 'Zen party'. Her daughter Phoenix and 35 friends joined in the festivities, which included a lavish menu and dancing by the ocean. The hen do also included a leopard print themed night, as well as a belly dancing class.
