Inside full BAFTAs chaos - sweary rants and speeches cut from show
The BAFTA TV Awards was sent into chaos behind-the-scenes after its stars and winners kept swearing on stage. The award ceremony is televised an hour after it actually happens, giving producers time to cut a number of expletive moments from the broadcast.
While host Alan Cummings delivered warning throughout the show to attendees over their language, Danny Dyer couldn't get but let slip during his sweary acceptance speech for Best Male Comedy Performance.
The Mr Bigstuff star thanked Sky for "giving the show a shot" before adding: "F***ing hell, I'm choked up."
He later said: "I'm getting choked up again, f**k me!" before paying tribute to his daughters Dani and Sunnie Jo. "Girls, Sunnie and Dani. I've done it girls, I've f***ing done it!" he said.
During the broadcast, Alan was forced to issue an apology over Danny's language, saying he was 'asked to apologise' for the language from Danny.
Danny wasn't the only star to drop the odd expletive, with even host Alan stumbling on his words wen speaking about the BAFTA Fellowship. He accidentally referred to it as the "b****d" Fellowship before exclaiming, "Oh f**k me!"
Meanwhile, Sophie Willan - who took home the gong for her comedy series Alma's Not Normal - made a number of efforts not to swear, but couldn't help letting one slip. "I'm not allowed to swear and all I want to do is Beep Beep, Bloody Beep!!" she said.
"I just want to say, these lot are flupping brilliant. Blimming fabulous!" Despite attempting to replace expletives with more TV-friendly words, she later let a few slip out. 'It's been s*** hot,' she said before realising her error and covering her mouth.
All three speeches were edited out of the programme before it made to broadcast, The Sun has reported.
Last night's BAFTAs were a big night for the BBC, with Mr Loverman, Industry, Blue Lights, Gavin and Stacey and Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour taking home gongs alongside other shows.
It was Mr Bates Vs The Post Office that won big however, with the ITV series taking home the award for Limited Drama at the ceremony.
While taking to the stage to accept the award, producer Patrick Spence said: "We've shown we cannot abide liars and bullies. And we'd like to put on record that being trusted by the sub post-masters to tell their story has been the greatest privilege of our lives."

He stars in the production, which is playing at the Eventim Apollo until August 30, alongside JLS singer Aston Merrygold, who stars as his on-stage brother Jasper. Jeff shares Bobby and Freddy with late TV reality star Jade Goody. And recently, a family feud was sparked after Jeff started proceedings to stop Freddy seeing his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden, 68, Jeff insists that she is a bad influence on Freddy, 20. Though the feud has not stopped the youngster spending time at his nan's flat in Bermondsey. But now things seem to be better between the young lad and his dad. Seen together at the musical on Friday night, trio posed up a storm together. Jeff shared some snaps from the night and captioned his post: "So lovely to have both the lads come along to watch me in @101dalmatiansuk. My brother Freddy needs to grow up… there are things I don't like about him says Bobby Brazier as he discusses family feud "I love how much it made them laugh and it was really special that they were both there to support me. "Thanks for coming @freddybrazier_ @bobbybrazier." Freddy then seemingly confirmed the family feud is over when he replied: 'What a show, loved every minute of it! "Most of all I loved watching you just play and have fun. "I love you Dad." Replying to his son, Jeff penned: "@freddybrazier_ Love you too Fred! Thanks for coming, meant a lot." One fan then weighed in and penned: "Glad your all ok again, he loves you to. I lost my Mum last week and lifes short enough. The family that plays together, stays together, take care." Last month, Freddy snubbed Jeff on Father's Day amid the ongoing legal battle to stop him seeing Jackiey. Line of Duty set for 2026 return as Adrian Dunbar updates
The award-winning hit police drama, which first aired from 2012 to 2021, featured Dunbar as Ted Hastings alongside stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston. Rumours believed that the sixth series would be the last for Line of Duty, but Dunbar has given fans a hopeful update on a new series that could see it return by 2026. Line of Duty 'returning next year' In an interview with The Times, Dunbar said that he is ready to return to filming and hopes the BBC will make an official announcement soon. He shared: "We're really excited about getting our hands on a Line of Duty script, to see what happens to us. Jed [Mercurio] is writing. We've talked to the BBC. "It is down to the BBC to make an announcement, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that next year we'll be working on a new series. "No doubt Jed will think of some interesting twists and turns." The final of the sixth series of Line of Duty was highly anticipated as audiences all awaited the reveal of the corrupt officer known as 'H'. The reveal saw DCI Ian Buckells (Nigel Boyle) to be 'H' and that he became corrupt for the money. Fans were split by the ending of Line of Duty, as Dunbar admits that he knows it was a "frustrating" end. He shared: "When you find out it is this idiot, Buckells, it is so frustrating. "There is a scene where the three of us are told who it is, and we look at each other and go, 'What?' "We asked Jed to write that scene because we realised how our audience would feel." "But Jed's point was that police corruption can hang on one cop deciding to ignore one piece of information that comes across his desk." According to The Sun, the next series of Line of Duty is expected to start filming next year. The TV presenter, historian and former Strictly star is back on Channel 5 with the new series Pompeii: Life in the City with Dan Snow Dan Snow has carved out a career as a much-loved historian and TV presenter - despite going against his famous father's advice to follow in his footsteps. Now 46, Dan - known for Battlefield Britain, Dan Snow 's Norman Walks and Filthy Cities - is back on our TV screens with a new Channel 5 series, Pompeii: Life in the City with Dan Snow. He teams up with fellow historian Dr Kate Lister to reveal what it would've really been like to live in Pompeii - the world's best preserved Roman city. During the opening episode, Dan and Kate take a look at the working lives of Pompeii's people, from the very rich to the very poor. Ahead of the new series, we take a look at Dan's life... Being 'discovered' Born in London in 1978, Dan graduated form Oxford University with first-class honours in Modern History, which seemed inevitable after his childhood. In a previous interview, he said: "I was a pretty average kid at primary school. My parents lifted me with the support they gave me at home: and whenever we went on holiday or days out we were always doing history-related projects. We made video films about wherever we were: the battlefield at Hastings, Bodiam Castle. We'd draw maps, too: and we'd make diaries. Dad still has them," reports MailOnline. "At the weekends my dad didn't go to watch football; he took me to museums. So when I ended up at Oxford University and got a double first in history, it wasn't brilliance – it was all the enthusiasm he had given me." A keen rower, he previously recalled how he was discovered by the BBC during the annual Boat Race between Cambridge University Boat Club and Oxford University Boat Club. He told LBC podcast Full Disclosure With James O'Brien: "The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race can be a bit dull so they sort of spruce it up with videos of students going 'oh, I'm so tired and I've got to do my studies and train'. 'I was one of said whining students and someone at BBC Development said 'what about him doing a show on history' because I was talking about history in this show.' Dan presented his first programme in October 2002 just after graduating from university, co-presenting the BBC's 60th anniversary special on the Battles of El Alamein with his father Peter. Away from documentaries, Dan competed in the 2023 Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing when he admitted to being "absolutely terrified". Famous dad Dan comes from something of a famous family. As well as being the great-great-grandson of British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, his father is the famous BBC journalist Peter Snow, famed for his General Election 'swingometer' coverage. Peter presented Newsnight from its launch in 1980 until 1997 and hosted a number of documentaries. Dan has said that his father asked him not to follow in his footsteps and become a broadcaster. He told LBC podcast Full Disclosure With James O'Brien: 'My dad urged me not to go into this industry and now I feel the same way about mine.' A call came into his father trying to get him on board for a history programme with his son. He said that his father 'originally said 'no'' but later changed his mind. Dan said: 'He also took me around Barnes Pond in south-west London and he said 'you're better than this', which I wish was true.' The presenter said his father had 'hoped' he would choose another profession as he admired the people he interviewed. He also said: 'I'd die now if my kids wanted to become broadcasters. I'm like, 'please go and become bioengineers or something exciting'.' 'Royal' wife In November 2010, Dan married the criminologist and philanthropist Lady Edwina Louise Grosvenor, second daughter of The 6th Duke of Westminster. The couple have three children, the eldest and youngest being daughters. Through her mother, she is descended from the Romanov imperial family of Russia and the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin. Her godmother was Diana, Princess of Wales. Dan previously said of meeting Edwina: "'I'd like to be able to say we met trekking across a desert, but we met at a wedding, which I'm afraid is very predictable. We were sitting next to one another at the reception: the person who did the seating plan set us up. I knew straight away she was the one for me," reports MailOnline.
