Ottolinger Berlin Spring 2026 Collection

Ottolinger Berlin Spring 2026 Collection

Vogue5 days ago
Home team, come on through! Ottolinger's Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient might both be Swiss, but their hearts and heads reside (quite literally) in Berlin. And finally, after years of showing in Paris, they staged their first-ever show in their adoptive city, just in time for their 10th anniversary. 'We've learned that it's easier to do a show in the place you actually live, where your studio is,' said Gadient, laughing. Unsurprisingly, there was quite the crowd in the house to support them, with the Ottolingers presenting at the Palais am Funktrum, the final show of the day in the Intervention day of shows curated by creative and communications agency Reference Studios. And the minute Kim Petras did a swaggering stomp of a walk around the snaking runway to get the proceedings going, dressed in a shrunken print sweater and a shrunken pair of shorts, accessorized with visor-like shades on her face, and knit leather booties strapped onto tottering curved wooden chopine heels, we were off to a flying start.
This was a good collection from Ottolinger, strong on conviction; since it started, the label had this unbreakable alliance with young women that Ottolinger is a safe space for them, where you can look as cool/hot/unvarnishedly yourself as much as you want. This time round, the collection was a celebration of big sisterhood, how, said Gadient, 'we are both big sisters and we love being that role model; showing you how not to fail, because we already failed for you; that we're here to support you in all that you do to succeed. So the clothes are playful, freer.'
That's the connecting part. The clothing part was a reminder of how much they've established their own look, and followed the beat of their own drum, this past decade. That means messed up, conceptualized denim, perhaps slicked up and sliced apart, or artisanal knits patched and pieced together, or sportif pieces, where athleticism (hoodies, track pants) are given a sharp, generationally appropriate jolt of sexiness.
With this collection's tough weathered leather blousons swinging away from the body, and the billowing skirts that look like they'd started life as anoraks, as well as outdoors-y shoulder-strapped utility jackets that actually could be anoraks, not to mention tough-luxe bags such as the capacious shoulder purse suspended from a strap akin to a studded punky belt (Gadient and Bösch have a sharp eye for original-looking accessories), the general effect was as if a Berghain clubber had come out blinking into the blinding daylight, and headed off into the countryside, but without bothering to change their clothes.
'We had wanted to bring back our crafty side,' said Bösch of the collection's vibe. 'So there's more texture, more deconstruction.' There was also the first glimpse—a tease, they called it—of their Nike collaboration, which will likely land in 2026. Take a look at their swoosh-emblazoned micro sports bras and cut-out bodysuits, and consider yourself teased.

From Rolexes to a $73,000 Patek Philippe, celebrities are going all out with their Wimbledon watches

David Beckham wore a custom watch he got for his birthday to Wimbledon. Beckham is a brand ambassador for the Swiss watch company Tudor, which gifted him a custom timepiece for his 50th birthday in May, as the brand confirmed to Business Insider. On June 30, he pulled out the watch to accessorize his Wimbledon look, pairing it with a cream suit and sunglasses. Tudor did not release details on the watch, but Esquire reported it's a custom version of the brand's Black Bay Chrono. The steel Chrono retails for $6,050, but Beckham's watch features diamonds nearly everywhere, including the bezel and the hour markers. Given the custom details, the watch likely costs much more than the standard version. The same day, Eddie Redmayne rocked an Omega watch. Redmayne modeled in a campaign for Omega's Seamaster Aqua Terra, so it's no surprise he wore the $7,000 watch to Wimbledon. The face of his steel watch was red, offering a pop of color on Redmayne's neutral-toned ensemble. Molly-Mae Hague's gold Patek Philippe watch stood out at Wimbledon. Hague, a reality TV star, influencer, and mogul, has been wearing her Nautilus watch from Patek Philippe since 2021. On July 1, she attended Wimbledon wearing it with a Christian Dior dress. Most of the Nautilus is rose gold, but it has 56 diamonds on the bezel, adding a high-end touch to the piece. The watch retails for $72,806 on Patek Philippe's website. Nick Jonas accessorized his suit with a vintage Rolex. Jonas attended Wimbledon with Priyanka Chopra Jonas on July 2, showing off a gold watch when he clapped. The timepiece was a vintage version of Rolex's Day-Date watch, which Jonas was also spotted wearing in April. Made of 18-karat yellow gold, it had diamond detailing on the black face for a touch of glamour. Though pricing wasn't available for Jonas' specific watch, the modern Day-Date 40 retails for $102,750 on Rolex's website. Russell Crowe and Britney Theriot took their couple style to the next level with matching Rolexes. Rather than showing off their couple style by wearing the same color or pattern to Wimbledon, Crowe and Theriot both wore Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches. Crowe sported the turquoise iteration of the watch, which costs $37,400. Theriot wore the same watch with a black face and a gold band. It costs $48,400 on the Rolex website. Kobbie Mainoo made his look pop with a Rolex. The Manchester United player paired a yellow blouse from Loewe with trousers and a Rolex Day-Date on Friday. Mainoo's Day-Date 40 has an 18-karat rose gold band in Rolex's "president" style and a striking olive green face for a colorful and modern take on the watch. It retails for $47,500. An Omega watch peeked out from Glen Powell's sleeve at Wimbledon. Warren Alfie Baker styled Powell for his appearance at Wimbledon on Saturday. He wore a Brunello Cucinelli suit, which he accessorized with an Omega watch. Powell wore the brand's $10,600 Constellation watch, which has a leather strap and gold detailing on the bezel. Andrew Garfield accessorized his all-white look with an Omega watch. On Sunday, Garfield appeared at Wimbledon wearing Ralph Lauren head to toe. Baker also styled Garfield's look, which included a button-down, trousers, a sweater around his shoulders, and a ball cap. Garfield added an Omega De Ville Trésor watch to the ensemble. The steel watch costs $7,400 and has a black leather strap. The actor is an Omega ambassador, and he often wears the De Ville Trésor to events. Roger Federer sported a Rolex he debuted for the brand in March. Rolex released its Land-Dweller 40 in March, and Federer, a brand ambassador for Rolex since 2001, starred in the campaign for the watch model. Federer appeared to wear the same watch at Wimbledon on Monday. He has the white Rolesor version made with Oystersteel and white gold. Federer's watch costs $15,350, which is the most affordable version of the Land-Dweller. The Land-Dweller 40mm with diamond and platinum detailing retails for $118,050.

Village cashes in as tourists pay to visit dock featured in hit K-drama

GENEVA -- A Swiss village has cashed in on a pay-for-entry turnstile used by avid tourists who flock each day to a lakeside dock featured in the hit South Korean Netflix series 'Crash Landing On You,' often to snap souvenir photos. Local leaders in Iseltwald and tourism officials insist the village's 406 inhabitants aren't getting rich off the influx of visitors, who pay 5 Swiss francs ($6.30) to access the dock. In 2024, entries brought in nearly 245,000 francs ($307,000), while a one-franc public pay toilet collected about 58,000 francs more, said village clerk Gabriela Blatter. Proceeds have gone mostly to garbage disposal, restroom cleaning, additional work hours and custodial staff hires, she said. Titia Weiland, manager of the Bönigen-Iseltwald Tourism agency, said the funds go right back to village upkeep: 'It's not correct to read it as 'the community gets rich',' alluding to some comments along those lines in the media and online. The village, situated along a small peninsula that juts out into Lake Brienz, features majestic views of Alpine peaks over the water. An episode in early 2020 of the cross-border Korean love story spotlighted the dock as a romantic getaway. That sparked online hype among fans of the series across Asia and beyond, which hasn't let up, fueling the rush of tourism to Iseltwald. The continued influx has exposed growing pains for the Swiss village, like those faced by other tourist hotspots that get too much of a good thing. Part of the problem is infrastructure: Iseltwald has three hotels and four restaurants, not enough for about 1,000 visitors who arrive by tour bus, public bus and car each day on average, according to Blatter. The village is revamping a parking lot to help cope with the strain, and the only village store now operates 7 days a week. Previously, it was open Monday to Friday. 'There were always tourists in Iseltwald. We are happy with them. The problem is that the tourists don't understand what's private and what's public," Blatter said, adding that some traipse through private yards and gardens. 'They go everywhere.' For months, fans of the series could visit the dock for free until the turnstile was put up in 2023 to help offset costs incurred by the local government. Not long ago, Weiland said, 'we were wishing for more tourists in Iseltwald: In some ways, we are thankful ... but it can be extreme.' Villagers who hosted the crews for on-site filming at the dock had no idea the series would become such a runaway success, she said. The village has a website devoted to the 'filming location" of the series that lists transportation options and entreats visitors to respect the dock, refrain from littering, and consider the 'quiet atmosphere of this authentic Swiss village' by keeping noise down and avoiding private property. the site says.

Federer is back in Wimbledon's Royal Box as he watches Djokovic's match

LONDON (AP) — Roger Federer is back at Wimbledon. The eight-time champion at the All England Club was sitting in the Royal Box to watch Monday's fourth-round matches on Centre Court, starting with his former rival Novak Djokovic playing Alex de Minaur. Federer was greeted by a loud round of applause as he entered the box together with his wife Mirka. He was wearing a blue suit featuring a circular purple badge on his lapel that former champions are given to denote them as members of the All England Club. The Swiss former No. 1 won his first title at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament in 2003 and his eighth in 2017. His last final was in 2019, when he lost an epic five-setter to Djokovic that was the longest title match in Wimbledon history. Also in the Royal Box on Monday was King Frederik X of Denmark, comedian Michael McIntyre and Michael and Carole Middleton — the parents of Kate, Princess of Wales, who is the patron of the All England Club. ___
