Slonina signed for Chelsea from Chicago Fire for £8million in August 2022.
He remained at the MLS side until January 2023 before moving to Stamford Bridge.
Six months later Slonina was loaned to Belgian side Eupen, where he played 34 times as they were relegated from the top flight.
Last summer Slonina moved to Barnsley in League One, but his loan ended after 14 appearances in January due to injury.
The one-time USA international is still waiting to make his senior bow for Chelsea.
But he could be waiting a while, with Robert Sanchez currently No1 ahead of Filip Jorgensen.
Mike Penders has also joined Chelsea this summer, while the Blues could yet reprise their interest in AC Milan star Mike Maignan.

Tuesday's briefing: Levi Colwill does not want to stop at world domination
England's Women are still very much in the think of the action as they prepare for their Euro 2025 showdown with Sweden. Meanwhile, 39-year-old Luka Modric has a new club after deciding to extend his illustrious career further. Levi Colwill insists Chelsea's Club World Cup win was no fluke and the Premier League and Champions League are now in their sights. The Blues defied the odds to beat Paris St Germain 3-0 at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday evening and lift the Club World Cup, providing further evidence of their revival following a difficult few years at Stamford Bridge in the wake of the Todd Boehly-led takeover in 2022. Defender Colwill said: 'Everyone was rooting for PSG or saying they were going to beat us but it's not an upset because we know how good we are. If other people don't believe that, then hopefully we have changed their minds now. 'I said at the start of this tournament that our plan was to win it and people looked at me as if I was crazy! So I'm going to say the exact same thing now going into the Premier League and Champions League. I think we're ready and we'll see next season.' Leah Williamson is refusing to play down the threat posed by quarter-final opponents Sweden to England's hopes of retaining their European crown. The Lionesses booked Thursday night's Euro 2025 last-eight showdown with the Swedes, who they beat 4-0 in the semi-finals on their way to lifting the title three years ago, with a 6-1 Group D victory over Wales, and captain Williams is not under-estimating the danger they represent. She said: 'Sweden are a fantastic team. They're relentless in the way they go about their game. 'They sort of avoid the expectation of every tournament and nobody really talks about them, (which is) slightly disrespectful, I think, because they always show up and they always seem to pose a threat to most teams, and normally come out with a medal or (become) a semi-final team, so, yes, they are a strong team (and) we're looking forward to the fixture.' La Scala del Calcio has a new maestro 🎻 #WelcomeModrić — AC Milan (@acmilan) July 14, 2025 AC Milan have completed the signing of Croatia captain Luka Modric following his departure from Real Madrid. The 39-year-old former Dinamo Zagreb and Tottenham midfielder has put pen to paper on a one-year contract at the San Siro with the option of an extension for a further 12 months. Modric had a trophy-laden 13-year stint at the Bernabeu, during which he claimed four LaLiga titles, six Champions League crowns and five Club World Cups. He won the Ballon d'Or in 2018 and has made a record 188 appearances for his national team. England continue their preparations for Thursday night's Euro 2025 quarter-final clash with Sweden in Zurich. Elsewhere, Welsh champions The New Saints are in action in the second leg of their Champions League first qualifying round tie against Shkendija in North Macedonia, while there are 15 group stage fixtures in Scotland's Premier Sports Cup.

Billie Piper ‘quite overwhelmed' to work with Tim Burton
Piper plays Isadora Capri, the new head of music at Nevermore Academy, in the second series of the hit Netflix show, which is set to air next month. The drama, which centres around Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family, stars American Jenna Ortega in the lead role, and also features a number of British actresses including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dame Joanna Lumley and Piper. Speaking to Radio Times, Piper described the character of Capri as a 'really accomplished musician' with 'an interesting past of her own'. The actress told the magazine she was 'quite overwhelmed' to be working with Burton after admiring him for so long, and loved watching his films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie with her children. She added: 'I watched Beetlejuice so many times as a kid that I actually feel like it inspired the interiors in my house and the clothes I wear. I was fanatical.' Doctor Who star Piper said she was 'grateful' to work with Burton. 'I realised I was dealing with someone who's really childlike energetically – open and engaging and fun,' she added. 'I love his energy. And that's what it feels like: like you're being painted into Tim Burton's piece of art, because it's a very specific composition a lot of the time, and it's striking.'

Gareth Bale and Arne Slot on same page in Premier League title prediction
Liverpool manager Arne Slot and ex-Real Madrid star Gareth Bale have both made similar predictions about the upward trajectory that Chelsea are on under Enzo Maresca Chelsea should be considered genuine contenders for the Premier League title in the upcoming season after winning the Club World Cup. The Blues beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final to bank £97million in prize money and send a message to their rivals, with Gareth Bale among those to sing their praises. Cole Palmer scored twice and set up new signing Joao Pedro to score the other in a stunning first half blitz of the Champions League winners. Enzo Maresca's side finished fourth in the Premier League last season before winning the Conference League and Club World Cup. They have bolstered their attack with the signings of Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian this summer. And, after finishing the 2024/25 campaign strongly by winning 13 of their final 15 matches and lifting two trophies, they need to be taken seriously, according to former Tottenham and Real Madrid star Bale. 'I do not think they are far away at all,' Bale said on DAZN after their success in New Jersey. 'Last season, they got to around Christmas, and everyone was talking about them being contenders. Obviously, they are a young team, and they kind of fell off, but I think they will learn a lot from that. 'They have shown character as a team to come back and win the Conference League, and now win this. I think confidence will be booming and they will have that self-belief now.' His opinion is shared by Liverpool boss Arne Slot, who spoke about their potential after his side were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea in May. "I expected them to be a threat this season because at Anfield they were better than us,' Slot admitted. 'They were so close to us. It was a complete surprise to me that we are now 19 points clear of them or something like that. "I didn't feel that at all when we played them. That tells you how well we did, probably, if a team like this with so much quality, and also not only in the first XI, but in the complete squad, that we are able to be 19 points ahead of them is a big compliment for our players." Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has put Chelsea's Premier League rivals on notice. Asked whether they can win either the Premier League or Champions League in 2025/26, Colwill replied: "Yeah, definitely.' He added: "I said at the start of this tournament that our plan is to win it and people looked at me as if I was crazy. So I'm going to say the exact same thing now going into the Premier League and Champions League. "This is the biggest trophy I've ever won. I think the Club World Cup will be bigger than the Champions League and we were the first team to win it. "It was a statement victory and, in the future, if we keep winning trophies then everyone will give us the love that we deserve. But we'll only know that in the future. I think we're ready and we'll see next season."
