The final vehicle will travel on the Tokyo Expressway on Saturday. Work on the KK Route will begin immediately afterward, ahead of events scheduled for April 18 to celebrate the opening of the Tokyo Sky Corridor.
On that day, participants are invited to walk along the 2km (1.2 miles) stretch of elevated roadway and engage in public discussions about the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's plans to promote pedestrian-friendly lifestyles throughout the city.
The following day, the KK Line will host the Ginza Sky Run Challenge, a preliminary event for the marathon course for the Deaflympics, scheduled for November in Tokyo.
City officials estimate that developing the KK Route will take another five years. It will ultimately feature gardens, green spaces, art installations, viewpoints over the city, and areas where visitors can relax and enjoy peaceful moments.

'Adolescence' star Owen Cooper earns Emmy nod as youngest in limited series supporting actor race
"Adolescence" star Owen Cooper has officially made Emmys history. Nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards were announced Tuesday, with 15-year-old Owen earning a nod for outstanding supporting actor in a limited/anthology series or TV movie, making him the youngest nominee in the history of the category, according to a press release. The record was previously held by Scott Jacoby, who was 16 when he was nominated for the 1972 TV movie "That Certain Summer," the Television Academy confirmed to "Good Morning America." In "Adolescence," Owen plays 13-year-old Jamie Miller, whose world is turned upside down when he is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl named Katie, a fellow student at his school. The four-part U.K. drama series also explores the loss of adolescence and the complexities of youth. On the heels of its release, the British government backed an initiative to make the show available in all secondary schools across the U.K. Stephen Graham, who is a co-writer of the series and plays Eddie Miller, Jamie's dad, said that while "Adolescence" isn't based on a true story, it is inspired by several real-life incidents that happened among youth in the U.K., specifically several incidents that involved the stabbing of teen girls. Graham received an Emmy nomination on Tuesday for lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie. "Adolescence" was also nominated for outstanding limited or anthology series. In total, the show received 13 nominations.

World Series At Spring Training Ballpark? MLB Reportedly Finds Solution To Rays Problem
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Tampa Bay Rays were displaced from Tropicana Field this season due to Hurricane Milton ripping the roof off the stadium. The quick solution for the Rays and Major League Baseball was to have the team play its home games at nearby Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the New York Yankees. With the second half set to begin Friday and the Rays in the playoff hunt, though, the league had to make a decision. ST. Photo byThe Rays are on the cusp of securing a playoff spot, and if they were to clinch a spot, MLB has decided that the Rays will play their home playoff games at Steinbrenner Field, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that the Rays were in preliminary talks with MLB back in June about where they would play their home playoff games. While the thought of playing postseason baseball at a spring training stadium isn't the most exciting proposition, that is what the league decided upon. Topkin also reported that Manfred said, "Our rule has always been that people play in their home stadiums during the World Series. And I'm not of a mind to change that rule." While the scene may look strange, by having the Rays play October baseball at Steinbrenner Field, Rob Manfred and league officials are allowing the Tampa Bay fans to experience postseason baseball in their city rather than have the Rays play at a different stadium that makes it difficult for local fans to experience the playoffs.
